I started attending Vessel about 6 months ago when the spin studio I had been going to in Corona del Mar closed. I am sooo grateful to have found such an amazing spin studio!!! Stephanie & Andrew Chapel are the owners and Stephanie teaches several classes a week. From the first day I attended and every time I walk in the door on Tuesdays & Thursdays at 8:15am I am warmly greeted...and since my initial visit have always felt welcomed and part of the "Vessel Community." With just 20 bikes in the Studio, the experience draws you into the workout no matter which bike you are on. Stephanie's classes are amazing...great music - always a diverse playlist with moves that coordinate with the beat and work every muscle in your body - it's always HIGHLY challenging as well as extremely fun! :-) Her encouraging words before, during and after the workout not only help you focus and motivate but also provide that extra little push to be the best you can be during class. I always leave feeling a strong feeling of accomplishment and of course tired...(LOL)...but I also leave feeling grateful and excited to know I get to come back for another class! Abbey Lam is also an amazing person and awesome Instructor. She has equally excellent classes! I have attended some of her 7am classes and they are filled with energy and the same feeling of "community" and are challenging as well! She will often take song requests the night before a class and somehow amazingly put together a playlist that has a formidable and diverse mix of fast moves and slow (heavy) pushes...and still keeps the workout within 45 minutes! I highly recommend Vessel Laguna Beach to anyone looking for an amazing place to do cardio as well as strength and endurance workouts while enjoying a great local culture/vibe with wonderful people in the local Laguna Beach community. read more

Visited this spin studio at an OC Fit Babes event and loved the spin class. Spin shoes are provided on arrival. The instructors had tremendous energy, the tunes were rocking and the workout was fun! THE MOST MAGICAL PLACE!! I don't even know where to begin. The community, the love, the strength, the joy, and the vulnerability you feel when you walk into this space is unmatched. This place changed my life! I spotted Rhythm Cycle in 2008 during a work day. The owner, Shelley invited me to join a few classes to see if I liked her music and style of teaching. Immediately, I knew that this was going to be my new favorite cardio workout. I started seeing results in endurance, toning and overall increase in energy. The best part about Rhythm Cycle is the music. Rhythm Cycle encourages class members to ride to the beat of the music. I can keep my bike's resistance at whatever works for me, and I can ride to the beat of the music. I am now part of the Rhythm Cycle team and enjoy teaching classes! read more

absolutely loved my experience at Rhythm Ride this morning for Sara's 6:15 AM class. We started out with stretching and we finished with stretching which I loved! Then we warmed up to a couple of songs before diving into the workout. The transitions were seamless and before you know it you're sweating up a storm because the workout is so good. Sara did an excellent job switching up the routines and checking in on how the class was feeling. One of my favorite moves was when she incorporated a squat into the ride. I will definitely be sore tomorrow but it is so worth it. The studio is very clean and well organized with a small front desk in the front for checking in, some lockers and cubbies for personal items. They also have water and shoes available for purchase. I've decided to update my review since I have now been spinning at RhythmRide for close to a year. After being told by an orthapedic surgeon I would never run again due to knee displacia, I had to find a workout that would make me sweat, take an hour(I have 2 kiddos under 3), and would be fun. Enter RhythmRide. In the summer I was spinning 4-5 a week so now that I am only spinning 1-2 a week, I really make the most of my ride. The benefits: Awesome instructors-top notch New and state-of-the-art bicycles All ages and fitness levels are welcomed My butt has never looked better:) This is a locals place so that's a bonus Only issue for me is I wish they had one or two midday classes. I work from 7:00-2:00 and it's hard to get motivated in the afternoons. Anyone looking for an amazing workout, this is the place to do it! P.S. I love it here. I used to smoke a lot, and the first spin class definitely got my lungs and breath feeling tight -- but after a couple more classes, all of those discomforts were literally replaced by feelings of strength and health. The atmosphere (upbeat music, dim lights, strong fans) really drew me to coming back for more. An important note is that I was never ever ostracized for taking a seat from the standing, so I felt really comfortable, and also supported, in pushing myself. I have stronger legs, core, back, and arms, better posture, and healthier lungs now, and I look forward to these classes because the instructors are so legit. I especially liked this one early morning class, where I showed up and it was only me and the instructor, whose name I think was Leah... I was feeling nervous for a thousand reasons, and she told me she was also new to teaching, so we sat next to each other, and she coached me through a lot of the techniques that are unique to Rhythm Ride. It was sooo awesome! I learned so much from her. I think she went traveling, which is rad, and I hope she continues teaching when she returns :) read more

Great cycling studio in Laguna. Music generally is really good and the instructors are energetic. The staff is super friendly and very helpful. They have shoes, provide towels and there is chilled water. No showers so best for locals if you're going to work after the workout or just during the weekend. Tuesday and Thursday they have an early class which is convenient. Good local option if you don't want to drive to Grit in Monarch Beach or Soul Cycle in Newport. read more

Rhylthm Ride is the best. I go there to spin whenever i am in Laguna Beach. It is better than Soul Cycle. All the instructors are good and the classes make you want to dance. Not from the Laguna area - came with a group of friends for a spin and brunch birthday outing...AWESOME time! We're avid spinners back home and were super pleased with the entire experience. So happy I tried RhythmRide ~ my new FAVORITE spin studio!! Shelley is a pro! Her drills are challenging and music is AWESOME. And you can hear it! She lets the music move you, inspire you, push you. So many of the new generation of instructors talk or shout over the music the entire class. They're either counting down each drill which isn't necessary (nothing more motivational than a class moving together w/ the MUSIC) or they're trying to be your therapist (set your intention, focus on your goal...etc, etc). When I'm at other studios, I do everything in my power to tune those instructors out and try to tap into the music over their shouting. I love Shelley and her team b/c they don't do this. At RhythmRide, the energy in the room is AMAZING, not forced. Again, so happy I found them. Highly recommend everyone to try it! You'll be hooked. read more
