We now have a new puppy and a new Dr, Dr Taylor who must have bought the business she was pleasant and did not push products on us. She was honest. The emergency vet said it would be a 5-6 hour wait just to get Chewy back to see a vet. I called Dr. Hedges, and at 10 pm that night he met me at his clinic, at treated Chewy with fluids, pain medication, and antibiotics. He had so much compassion, I was and am so grateful. I'm happy to report Chewy is fine now. I'm pretty sure Dr Hedges saved my dog's life that night. All the support staff at Brighton are just as exceptional as Dr Hedges. However, we had a different doctor today and am very disappointed with the experience we received. We were said to have been deceiving them of information about what we fed our cats, when we were only saying the correct amount consistently of what we are feeding, then the doctor was told he was told the wrong amount of calories for how much we feed them and still accused us of overfeeding treats etc.We came in to recieve advice and help and only were told we were doing things wrong (with inaccurate information) and told to cut what we were feeding our cats in half, I was asked multiple times if my other cat is also overweight I had said no multiple times and they had that information as well but did not consider that. At home doing the calculations with the information we told them we were feeding it was actually what they recommended. They did not do a thorough job of going through the information we were telling them and did not provide any advice besides telling us to feed what we do in half of the amount, this would drop my cats weight dramatically which is not healthy. I will not be returning here and looking for an alternative.

I can't get our time, stress or money back and I did try. We feel robbed. We didn't even get what we called them for. We needed rabies shots for our cats and it cost over $400 for them to come out and NOT give them the shots. We would have been fine paying that amount if they had actually given them their needed shots. The whole experience was unfortunate...I would never suggest them to anyone unless you're rich and can afford to throw your money away and don't mind delaying your pets health necessities.

The first time, they did not let us see while they did the exam, they brought him to a different room. The second time was for an injury check-up and they did let me stay in the room. The care was good both times, but it's still $100 for a basic check up, and both times it took a long time to be seen. So a 5 minute visit with the vet ended up taking an hour, just with the waiting. That part needs to be improved.

He ended up having been hit, dragged and had hid. Upon picking him up, I drove straight to Skyline. They were helpful, caring and kind while my children and I were scared to death. Louie survived, and required a lot of bandage changing and medical care to heal. The dr. Met us each day over Memorial Day weekend even though the clinic was closed! Never charged an office visit fee for each of those trips and instructed us on caring for Louie! This caring animal lover vet saved us from the services of a weekend full of emergency vet bills. Let's be real here, he saved Louie's life in more ways than one. We own 4 fur baby rescues, and with 3 children I am often falling behind in getting them their shots. We LOVE this vet! We…read morehave a 4 year old Boxer/Pit mix and he seems to find a way to hurt himself about every 3 months. We went to Camden when we moved to Minneapolis last fall. The area is kind of ghetto (it is a lower income N. Mpls area) but the people who work here are amazing! Everyone is really nice, friendly, and always understanding of a hyper dog jumping up at the counter to say hello. Our dog recently had a curled nail that was causing him a lot of pain. Dr. Kelsey did everything she could to fix the nail without causing our dog any more pain. Ultimately, we had to sedate him to cut the nail back. I was given a estimation of the cost and I was shocked when the total cost was at $170! I was expecting a bill of at least $300 based on what I had heard on the internet about similar procedures. If that wasn't good enough, they said I could drop my dog off anytime after 7am the next day even though his surgery wasn't until 11am. They also said they would hold on to him and I could pick him up after work before 6pm! Not only was it going to be cheaper than I expected, but I didn't have to take time off work to do it! But wait, it gets better. They follow up on their appointments. I usually get a call 1-2 days after bringing him in just to see how he's doing and if he's having any issues with medications or bandages. I even got a call asking if I wanted to bring him in and they would cut off a bandage on his foot for free and then they could see how it was healing. To sum it up, this place rocks. The doctors, technicians, and receptionists are all great, professional, and really care about animals. Dr. Kelsey is amazing with our high-energy dog and the prices are always extremely competitive. We'll continue to go to this vet as long as we live in NE Minneapolis. Oh...and don't pay attention to Daisy's review.
