I donated my 2005 Honda Civic Coupe to Veteran Car Donations this week. Just bought a new 2015 Honda CR-V and don't need my Civic anymore. I chose to try these guys over the other nonprofits asking for car donations because my brother and 2 nephews served and frankly our nation's veterans don't get nearly enough support after their service.
Overall, the experience was good. To be honest, I was a little nervous because I've never donated a car before and wasn't sure what to expect. When I initially called them to donate my car, I got a live person on the phone - which as we all know doesn't actually happen all too often with organizations these days. The woman I spoke to, Tara, took my contact info, my car's info, and scheduled for a tow truck to come and pick my car up. I had a few questions that I forgot to ask and when I called back Tara was able to help me out. The tower came today within the timeframe given to me and gave me my donation receipt. So yea, all in all a solid experience. And as I said, I'm a big believer in doing what we can to help our nation's veterans and this organization does just that. So I'd consider this a win-win. read more
