2 at counter, 6 in line. Typical for this CBOC. Needs a bigger space & more staff.
    Marissa M.

I tried to call & get a PT follow up, as recommended by Dr. Blankenship last year, & told a note would be sent to yet another PC, Dr. Green. Three days later I got a call back telling me I HAD to see the PC "because it's been a year since you were seen by physical therapy and the doctor says you need to see her first." Thankfully I could be seen the following Monday. I left work an hour & 45 minutes early for my 3pm appt, then told they were running behind due to a power outage earlier in the day. Carlos told me upon check in that he was going to call my about my orthotics arriving, so why couldn't they call me & tell me to show later? I was finally seen at 4 pm, an hour after my scheduled time. Dr. Green seems to have good intentions, though frustrating to have her repeatedly push labs on me after I told her five times that after three previous submissions, this CBOC should have recent labs from my civilian provider scanned into the system. After enough pushing, she finally located them. The appointment hit a further rough patch when she told me I could've just scheduled the PT on my own. I made it clear that I was told that I HAD to come see her first, by her own direction. She prescribed wrist braces, but alas, the CBOC was dark & the last guy there escorted me out the door with two LEFT braces & no one to schedule my follow up labs, leading to more time wasted at work on hold today. Thankfully I got Tabitha on the phone, who seems to understand that some of us work & can't take repeated time off. She managed to find me a right wrist brace, and schedule the remaining labs Dr. Green wants + my PT at the same time & within my schedule. Thanks, Tabitha, I appreciate the efficiency. PS The clerks are still asking very personal questions for the entire lobby to hear.

Wait time needs major improvements. I went in to get a replacement ID card and waited for almost an hour. Ridiculous.

I've been a patient with her for three years . Today was the last straw.for one she talks really loud. So if you're not okay with other patients knowing your business I suggest you don't see her. She is rough and abrasive . The way she talks to me every time I've been there I can't imagine how she treats her elderly patients. She makes you feel horrible for canceling appointments. She refuses treatment. She refuses test. She refuses imaging. I have been turned away from her three times after asking for imaging on something. She gives meds without running any cultures. She makes assumptions about your health without actual test! She will tell you how you feel is all in your head. She talks to everyone like they are idiots. Including her employees. Which normally it's one nurse. Always a new nurse every time you go cause no one wants to work with her. When you go in the atmosphere is so cold. Her employees act as if they were just abused by her. Mind you that was what my boyfriend described the employees and he's not even her patient. He says it's Like a bad child who did something wrong and got scolded. And he's only been there once to drop of paper work for me to her. That's how bad she treats them! They don't even talk. The nurses can't even be nice to you cause they are completely drained by this doctor. The doctor doesn't acknowledge you when you walk in. She solicits appointment. She seems incompetent as when she told me that she was only going to focus on one of my issues and once we figure that out we can move on. But when she tells has told me that in the past and she can't figure out the issue she says oh idk and I have had to move on to another doctor because of that. Today her and I got into a yelling match cause she couldn't handle all the information I was giving her. When asking her for her license she refused. Oh yeah don't miss appointment cause she will call all your contacts to ask why you missed your appointment and once again socialite another appointment even if you don't need her. Also I had to yell at her to give me my money back today. She charged me and when I asked for my money back she hesitated sat there and continued to argue with me.o

The room was clean and comfortable and the night staff did their tasks without being overbearing or disruptive to the much needed rest. And the "hospital" food was actually quite tasty. And I had a couple of lunches in the downstairs cafeteria. The food was very good and fairly priced. She had absolutely no problems with check-in, pre-op, surgery, post-op recovery and her one-bed room. We have nothing but praise for the nurses and other support staff. Any issue she had was immediately addressed and resolved. They kept her an extra day to make sure her vitals were up to normal levels. Any questions I had were answered quickly and fully. So we knew she was in good hands. I know a lot of people prefer other local hospitals, but we have absolutely no reason to go somewhere else for planned or emergency health care.

At the initial visit I shared that I have a problem with my heart, which is controlled with medications. The PA agreed to provide refills for those medications but asked me to make an appointment with a cardiologist which I did. The PA also told me that it might be several months before I would be able to see a cardiologist, and she was right. The appointment is three months in the future. The PA initially wrote new prescriptions for the cardiac meds, but then without warning or attempting to notify me, the PA refused further refills for these critical meds. I have been rationing the flecainide over the last week but I have now run out completely. I have also had a huge problem with the young, minimally trained front office staff. They have been cryptic, cold, and uncooperative on the phone, and have hung up on me, which largely contributes to my problems with the clinic. I am virtually homebound and initially chose Walgreens as my pharmacy because Walgreens claims online that they can deliver medication's by mail. Unfortunately the Walgreens in Sierra Vista couldn't figure out how to do that so I switched to OptumRx (not associated with Optima Medical), an online pharmacy that I had used in the past and was very pleased with. The staff at the Lenzner Optima clinic couldn't figure out how to fax medication refills to OptumRx. The associate at OptumRx and myself, repeatedly provided the correct fax number to the clinic staff but they would not use it, claiming they had the correct fax number and would only use that one (which was in fact not the correct fax number). I finally gave up and switched to the local Walmart pharmacy thinking this would simpler for them. So now they are sending refills to the Walmart pharmacy except for the critical meds I need to stay out of the ER or hospital.

She was extremely aggressive towards me for NO REASON. There is no reason to ever behave or act the way you did towards me. I was politely asking a question to the woman at the front desk where I was paying my copay for todays visit and when she could not provide the information I was inquiring of, Melanie from Billing, came out of her office and immediately started attacking me. It was very unprofessional. For future encounters, Melanie should probably pull people into her office when talking about matters such as these. And another thing, if I had any ill intentions, don't you think I would not return to Family Health Center? OR let alone bring up the matter and then ask the front desk about my other child's file there? Shame on YOU for how you treated me as a person today. Shame on YOU for the amount of disrespect you showed today. Shame on YOU for lacking professionalism. And Shame on YOU for letting your anger get the best of you, Melanie.
