I was assisting a client with obtaining her benefits that had been sent to the Treasury, and after visiting multiple Social Security offices, we kept being told we were at the wrong location or that documents hadn't been received. It was a frustrating process, to say the least. Finally, we met someone who truly paid attention and recognized that my client needed help. He did everything he could to make sure she received her money, and that meant a lot. A big thank you to the gentleman at table 1 who helped her on 5/1 around 3:00 pm. Your kindness and dedication did not go unnoticed.

The way you DIDN'T take care of people in a timely manner! The way you thought you were entitled to a 30 minute break between every person you "processed or interviewed!! The way you performed your job wasn't very up to par! Or WAS IT for a state run operation?? If you worked just a TAD quicker, and actually cared just a TAD more.. Your job may be even a TAD more enjoyable and rewarding.. You're all a disgrace to every taxpayer of this state who, as we know, pay your wages.. Mind you, this is while there are at least 10 counselors sitting at their computers, chatting with each other, helping no one. It really sucks that the people in this city have to go to people like this that clearly could care less.

Times have changed and now it's a desert with no shade; make sure you're prepared for the heat with water, a hat, sunscreen and sunglasses. The trails are well-marked. Had to take a star due to the fact they're only open 20hrs a week, but that's due to the fact they're unpaid volunteers and it's tough to find the right kind of volunteer. VSO office started by Dr Roy Kekahuna, 6 MOPH, Viet Nam vet, former National President of PVA, Ranger, and has been helping vets since he was in post-op in 1968. He's retired, but the office works hard to keep his standard of educating the vet pretty high. They need donations to keep open, or business sponsors for toner, paper, office supplies, scanners, NEW computers, etc. I am thankful I found them.

I recently learned that my kids' favorite librarian, Mr. Patrick at Aliante Library, resigned about…read morethree months ago--and it's truly been a big loss for our family. My 4- and 8-year-old still talk about him, and going to the library just isn't the same without seeing him there. My daughter practically grew up attending his Storytime. When she first started going, she was extremely shy and would cry if anyone approached her. Mr. Patrick noticed that right away and met her exactly where she was. Instead of overwhelming her, he would gently wave from a distance, give her space, and slowly build trust. Because of him, she became more comfortable and confident in that environment--and that means everything to me as a parent. With my son, he was just as incredible. He took the time to recommend books he knew he'd enjoy and would even walk with us to show him the "cool" chapter books. He didn't just do his job--he genuinely cared. He once said, "Kids can tell if adults are nice or not--they are wise," and he truly lived by that. It's such a shame to see someone like Mr. Patrick leave. People like him make a lasting impact on children and families, and those connections matter more than words can express. That said, we are very grateful for Ms. Jessica and Ms. Melissa. They continue to show kindness and dedication to the kids, and it's clear they are loved by the families who come back week after week. Librarians play such an important role--many of our children grow up with them, and they help shape their love for reading and learning. I truly hope our tax dollars are going toward supporting and properly compensating these amazing individuals who are making a real difference in our community.

The absolute worst service anywhere in the entire state of Nevada. I would say go somewhere else…read morebut its a government agency. You CAN'T go anywhere else. I was on the phone 3 separate times today. One of those calls being 2 1/2 hours long. The lady "couldn't hear me" and hung up. I am trying to work and get assistance on the side. I made 18/Hour. I work 50 hours a week, NOT including the drive time. I can't just go down to the office, my hours are 9-6. I am FORCED to rely on people who don't give a single fuck about me or my family. Theres not even a number or a way to file a complaint. You just have to sit back and take it. I'll be putting in a formal complaint tomorrow morning with this office. I have to be late for work because I have NO OTHER CHOICE. DWSS KEEPS PEOPLE DOWN!
