You might live in a cute cookie cutter doll house in an HOA neighborhood but have horrible neighbors living next door who rent, Trash all over the streets in neighborhoods that no one picks up. You have to call the city or clean it yourself if you dont like it. Other than that, fairly cheap living with low paying jobs and lots of mountains in nevada. The libraries are a joke. They barely have adult educational books in most of them. Choose wisely before moving here. People can bag on cali all they want but at least there are some people with class living there.

Fellow travelers the Zombie Apocalypse Is real as it get and they live on the streets of North Las Vegas. So I'm driving and the first thing I see is an actual street walking prostitute getting ready for some Friday night tricks, needless to say I didn't stop and say hi.... As my drive continued into the waist-land of human carnage laid upon the streets in cardboard boxes, plastic tents and cement beds I also noticed the wheelchairs (vehicle of choice ) that people sitting around in. You can see the countless police cruisers handling some multiple incidents, so if you wanna watch just follow the flashing blue lights and it's no K-Mart Special happening. This went on for miles while I drove. A few casinos actually existed but you'd take your own life trying to get from parking to the doors without getting clubbed over your skull and robbed. ( Safety NOTE ), so be careful while driving cause people just start walking across the street no matter how fast your driving. I almost had some road kill mounted to the hood of my car while heading out of town for some person just walking ( HELLO RED HAND LIGHT IS FOR TO STOP ) and I even had a green light to drive...I'm fairly sure if you came into contact with anyone in this area you defiantly has a 100% chance of getting either HIV, CV19 or some new immune deficiency that's not been detected. Maybe you wanna take the kids to scare them about the dangers of drugs but you may scar them for life. But if you do I expect a family photo to be posted on YELP... For the sake of time (due date), I decided to walk in just in case there was anything extra. The office was open later in the afternoon and I got there about 4pm. Lots of parking available and I was able to get a nice wide spot, closer to the Bonneville entrance/exit. Business licensing is on the 3rd floor and there are several elevators, so it's a quick trip up. Inside, we check-in with a nice woman at a kiosk who reviewed my paperwork and entered me into the system. Then I sat down and got a text immediately that my wait would be about 10 minutes. Time moved fast, and I went to window 8, had my information verified and needed to complete a few more things on the form. Then I was sent to the cashier, paid my $25 address change fee with a check; looks like they had a credit card machine available as well (for a transaction fee, I believe). It was fast and easy! Everyone was so nice and helpful!! I'm glad I emailed and called prior to verify what I needed, plus they sent me the change form, so I could print it ahead of time and enter info. In total, I was there about 30 minutes.

Election Dept tells me if I don't have a ballot by the 1st of June? To come down to the Election Dept and they will provide one. I verified their exact address and location. And on June 1st tried to get my ballot. They tell me I am at the wrong location and now I must go somewhere else. Not to mention a ton of....attitude. They made me feel like a sack of dung. Like I had done something terribly wrong and had bothered them. So, I left WITHOUT a ballot and the ability to vote. So in responce to my looking to the Clark County Election Dept for help in being able to vote? To each and every hard working, conscientious, patriotic one of you working at the Clark County Elections Dept? They charged my debit card $133 twice, claiming a widespread system error. I was told approximately 30 people were also affected by the error made by the office of the state. Basically they made me feel like a number and after almost two weeks they have not returned my money, nor have they given me any definitive timeline of when I will get refunded from the double-billing against my card. As a local business owner here in Las Vegas, I'll be the first to say this is bad business. The only reason I am not giving one star is because the office manager Gigi Cervantes has promised me that I will be moderately compensated, per her discretion, because the state decided to take an interest-free loan for half a month from me without my permission. Be careful folks. Their technology is very poor, however the people in this office are alright to deal with. My suggestion, if you go here, is to pay with your credit card so you don't have any personal liability when this office holds your hard-earned dollars hostage and steals your money indefinitely.
