This is the worst delivery service I've ever dealt with. My business closes at 5pm, but we have security staff here 24 hours. They accept our deliveries for us. Veterans "attempted delivery" every single day for 2 weeks and the tracking shows "unable to complete by 5pm". That means they drove by, didn't see cars in the lot, and kept driving ..didn't even stop to check if someone was here. This happened repeatedly. I haven't had office supplies in over a month. I chatted with customer support at Staples, and the were overly accommodating for this terrible service. How lazy and unprofessional can you get? Still don't have my order. I ordered a couple shelves from target early november the invoice for the werehouse says nov 22. I contacted them to ask about the status beginning of december and heard back from one of the managers via email she seemed very friendly and figured id hear back in the next couple days when they found my packages. been 2 weeks now and havent heard anything, tried to email again and havent heard anything back. i just want my packages so i can finish my baby's nursery. i understand its holidays and they are busy but a month to get 2 shelves delivered seems like a lot. read more

Staples assured me it would still be delivered to my home, but it never arrived. Huge headache, terrible carrier service. This company failed to deliver on a simple Staples order. The delivery text on the day the order was to be delivered says "Unable to complete before 5PM - Signed by: Ranoutoftime". These guys deliver for Staples Business Advantage.Most of the time, they don't deliver on time. The tracking info says they couldn't deliver because "business was closed." Problem is - we're open 24 hours a day, and there is a person at the front door each of those 24 hours. I wish I could give a zero star rating. The worst experience I've ever had. I bought a printer from Staples and they chose to deliver via this "VETERANS MESSENGER SERVICE". First, I could never check the tracking progress via their website. Today the package marked as delivered on 10:02 AM but I never got them. I had a security cam covered the building entrance and saw no body came to deliver packages around that time. I called them but it takes forever for the representative to contact the driver who delivered my package. I also checked my neighbor's buildings everywhere around but still couldn't find it. I ordered a $100 calculator from Staples. The delivery company was Veterans Messenger. I'd never heard of or had any experience with this "delivery service" and I hope I NEVER have to again. They marked the package delivered, but I never received anything. I have security cameras covering my entire property and no one even came to my home. Now I have to deal with Staples. This is ridiculous. So here is the update. Got a call from Brad who, like the rest of the employees became extremely aggressive and denied the employees were on my property. A. As they missed their delivery window and were threatening I canceled the order. They showed up anyway. B. I had to come home as the ladder dumped on my porch would be stolen in my area. I called to set up retrieval. C. Instead of setting up a time, the company sends their thugs back to get the ladder. Instead of being respectful, they kicknin my garage door, set off my alarm, break a outdoor pamp, trample plants , and tresspassed where therehad no right to be. I was very respectful to them and my reward was thugs kicking in my door. Please , do not belive me. Read reviews on Yelp, google, wayfair, mircosoft, etc. A lot of people say they felt threatened and uncomfortable with the aggressive employees. And for the love of god, if home depot, target, wayfair or whoever sends these guys....ARM YOURSELF Just keep getting worse with these people. After cancelling an order they delivered anyway. I had to leave work and put the delivery on the side on my house behind a gate. (Not the best part of town) crew returns, kicks my gate, breaks my lock, breaks a lighting fixture, breaks into my garage, tresspasses and stomps flower beds to retrieve item. Was threatened by staff on the phone and told a manager would call me back. $1,200 in damages to repair flood light, garage door, front porch, plants etc. Despite my attempts to resolve no one at company cares even though I showed video of driver with 3 ft long pony tail smashing my property. If HOME DEPOT send them to your house you should arm yourself . Thugs. Absolutely horrible experience. Had to call multiple times to set up delivery. Company missed delivery window. For the second time in two weeks Veterans Messenger lost our packages. We ordered two printers from Quill last week and after much back and forth and time wasted, they finally told us the packages were lost and they couldn't reorder because now they were out of stock. Ok, so then we go to Staples and try ordering the same two printers since we've always had good service from them and generally they use their own delivery. Guess what, today they tell us that Veterans Messenger was the company they contracted for the delivery and they have lost our packages. What is this company doing? How are they still in business? Do they have a giant pile somewhere of all the printers they are incapable of delivering? It's pretty sad Quill and Staples can't find a better local service. Be sure to check with whatever supplier you order from to be sure Veterans Messenger isn't attempting to do the delivery. read more

The problem with this place is that they don't pay the drivers enough. The drivers all use their own vans and box trucks, therefore they are paying for insurance and gas by themselves. As contractors the company is able to take advantage of drivers to the fullest. They charge them weekly for scanning devices, pay them low commissions, about a $1.00 on a 50lb box of copy paper. The ones twosy deliveries ( which coincidentally comprise most of the complaints) cost the driver more in expense than the commission that Veterans pays out. The only way a driver makes money is by taking a huge load to one location and dropping it off undamaged. Such as bringing a pallet of wine say 30 cases to Binnys beverage depot. The problem is these moneymakers are a small percentage of the entire route, most of the route is small storefront business and residences ordering onesy twosys. So you see the service will always be lacking; the amount of care the drivers have for the merchandise and property will always be inconsistent. BTW the drivers have put class action suits against this company and won. read more

I've had two experiences with this company. The first time was with a package that was signature required. They left a door tag (good) I signed it and left it for them...and the next thing I knew it was returned to the warehouse after three unsuccessful delivery attempts. The door tag was still out there, waiting. The second time there was no door tags, no indication at all that a delivery was attempted, one of the supposed attempts happened while I was even home, and still the package went back to the warehouse. UPDATE: Almost instantly after posting on Facebook, I received responses from a manager. They got my information, and called me within an hour or so to apologize, explain, and tell me that they found the mattress. He asked if they could deliver it right away, and they did! He called again to check and make sure everything went okay. I really appreciate the fast feedback, it really shows you have to get the attention of someone higher, since the employees could probably care less. I ordered a mattress set through my local JCPenney. Veterans is the 3rd party vendor for them. I scheduled my delivery, only to get a call the day of saying only the foundation would be delivered, because they lost the mattress. The guys delivering also tried having me sign another customers delivery papers. After calling the furniture department I was told they were doing a dock search which takes 24-48 hours. After 3 days I called and was told they still haven't gotten any results, all while sleeping on an old futon since I got rid of my old bed day of "delivery". After 4 more business days of calling multiple people they did an even exchange to get a NEW mattress. I got the call to schedule the delivery, and did. One day before the delivery my husband got a voicemail that they could not fit the mattress on the truck. I called once they were open and they told me that this one was ALSO LOST and they would do a dock search. So not only did they blatantly lie to us about items not fitting on the truck, but also lost 2 mattresses that I was already charged for. Obviously the employees are stealing items, because I don't think you can easily LOSE 2 MATTRESSES! Everyone I have spoke to there is rude and not helpful at all. read more

After scheduling a delivery window for my item, I waited around all day to be present for the delivery with a supposed warning call 30 minutes ahead of the delivery. By the end of my appointment window no one had contacted me so I finally contacted them. After waiting on hold for almost five minutes, the person got back on the phone and told me that my delivery was scheduled for two days later - despite me having spoken with someone the day before to confirm. After ordering a bed from JCPENNY and NOT being told it would take two to three weeks for the thing to be delivered, I got a call on 7/3 from Veterans Distribution to schedule delivery. I requested a Saturday delivery because both my husband and I work and no one is home during the only 4 hour window times they gave us. I got a call today Friday 7/6, at 1 pm telling me they cannot deliver because there are too many orders going out and not enough drivers. So, I have people coming in this weekend, NO BED for them to sleep in AND I get to lose a days pay to sit home and wait for them to show up Monday. I asked if I could just drive to them and pick it up myself and was told no. This place SUX. Not sure if this is actually owned or ran by Veterans, and I am a HUGE supporter of our vets, but I cannot believe that any veterans would ever run a business this way. Once again Staples used this service for order delivery and once again they indicate the cosignee or business is closed when attempting to deliver - FALSE. This is a residence and at each of the times indicated for this shipment we were home - in fact accepted deliveries from FedEx and UPS. It has now been almost a week since the order was placed with initial delivery commitment for 12/23 (first failed delivery attempt documented by Veteran's Messenger - FALSE), new commitment for 12/27 - again a false delivery attempt was documented. Their drivers dropped a 200 lb dresser down my stairs causing $3600 of damage to my home. The drivers then propped the dresser up on broken legs, and ran out of my home without giving me an opportunity to sign paperwork. They then forged my signature to the delivery slip. I called and immediately reported the incident. They initially agreed the signature looked like a forgery, but later recanted and said I shouldn't have singed anything at delivery if I wasn't satisfied. After a month of back and forth their insurance finally paid for the damages, but first I had to provide proof of what my signature actually looks like. read more

These guys deliver for Staples. I scheduled a return with Staples over 3 weeks ago. After no Veterans' after week 1 I called and Staples said that they made 3 attempts to pick up and no one was there. We are a business so someone is here from 8-4:30, supposedly their attempts were all after 5:00. Week 2 went by with again no pick up. Week 3 went by with no pick up. Then on the 1st day of the 4th week they showed up and took the return while i was at lunch and left no paperwork that would show that anyone even was here. Called Staples next am and they said the records showed they made 3 attempts again that 3rd week and that they attempted the day of pick up but no one was here. I called Veteran's myself then & guy said yes that they had the return but he didn't know why it was showing that pick up couldn't be made. He said that they never attempted to pick up in the whole 3 weeks & didn't understand where all the notes that they made attempts came from. read more
