Got my left palm and on top of my wrist also. It's now Saturday morning and Theyre going to hold me until Monday. Everyone here has been really nice. Brandon and Evelyn (I think) are my Physical Therapists. They've been by a few times. They helped me to get up on my feet to use the restroom for the first time. The nurses Cynthia and Chris have been great. Chris helped change out my bandages with Dr Schurr today and came back and changed out my right knee bandages and got me back into compression socks again. Cyndi helped me get back into the restroom last night and Lana has been so helpful every day. Lana comes in and tries to make my life better. I appreciate her kindness. The girl that cleans my room each day is so sweet . She asks me each day if there's anything she can do to make my room even better. The girls they come and take my blood on the middle of the night are always fast, friendly , and they are in and out. They find the vein and do their thing so professionally. The girls and guys that bring me breakfast, lunch , and dinner are very efficient at getting you your meals and the meals are so delicious. Just the right amount of food. They bring Milk, OJ, Sweet Tea, Ensure drinks , Fruit. Fruit cups, Jello. Yeah,, everyone has to have jello when You're resting after surgery. After dinner, you can ask for a Crusteez Peanut butter / Jelly sandwich, Turkey sandwich , Jello Pudding, Chicken Soup, Turkey soup , crackers and other items. The room is beautiful. 55" LG TV w Directv , beautiful view of the N. Carolina mountains with an electric window shade , couch w bed , recliner, and the bathroom comes equipped with full Walk-in Shower, 1' by 2' porcelain tile, , backlit bathroom mirror. Modern wood cabinets. Backlit lighting, and your bed remote can control ceiling lights and a spotlight above the bed. This is a very well designed Hospital that actually looks like a Hotel to me. When you check in there's free Valet in front and you enter to the front desk and they get your ID and medical cards and you can sit in their waiting lounge where there are different types of chairs from chairs , sofas, recliners and a girl came quickly and found me. She had me follow her to the check-in for a Pre-Operation. They take you to your own room and you get to undress and change into their operation clothes You get wheeled on a bed into the Operating Room where the Anastegialogist has you breath into a mask until you're in LA LA LAND !!!!

Went in today with a nasty infection after a toothache. Reception and medical staff were all polite…read moreand professional. Wait time was only about 15 minutes to see the assistant and another 15 to see the doctor/nurse. Doc took a look in my mouth, took maybe 15 seconds to go "yep that's an infected tooth there." She left for another 10 minutes, came back with an itemized list of instructions and my prescriptions were already faxed to my pharmacy. Entire visit was maybe an hour at most, plus it's all the same medical group as my psychiatrist, so insurance and check-in was easy.

I'm not trying to belittle anyone's job but can you please explain to me how hard it is to take someone's ID and insurance...enter their information into a computer...and COMPLETELY FORGET to give the patent back their ID and insurance card? Maybe I should have prefaced my previous paragraph with the fact that I was the only patient in the waiting room upon my arrival... phones were not ringing... it was very quiet except for the TV playing Good Morning America in the background. Not only that, I sat back down for about 5 minutes (until I was called to the back) where I spent an additional 20-25 minutes with the doctor and the radiographer taking X-rays of my chest. At any point in that time frame someone from the front desk could have brought my credentials back to me (or given them to someone in the back that could have made sure I got them)... or even just told them to remind me not to forget to get my credentials on my way out. That didn't happen. What happens is I drive 17 miles back to my side of town and then I receive a phone call saying that I forgot my credentials instead of I'm sorry I forgot to give you back your credentials and that I would need to come pick them up. Now I have to drive 30+ more miles because of your incompetence and lack of due diligence . What was even more surprising is when I returned to the facility, a different employee recognized me and knew why I was there...reached into a drawer and flipped through two or three envelopes that had other patients names written on them.... BECAUSE THEY DIDN'T GET THEIR IDs BACK EITHER. I would like to know what's going on ? Are the employees taking your personal information and using it somehow... possibly giving it to some friends who can use it for nefarious reasons? People don't think anymore!!! I know it sounds stupid to some people, but forgetting to give me my credentials back and forcing me to have to take another trip on the road not only puts wear and tear on my car but it also puts me in position of having a potential accident (whether it be my fault or not).

I knew I should have looked for a new provider then. I have now been a patient for 13 years and was told recently it was a policy that I was unable to schedule an appointment without paying $50.00 since I was self pay. When I expressed frustration about this I was then banned from making an appointment.. I even called to apologize for being upset and said I would pay whatever I needed to in order to schedule an appointment ( its hard to find a new provider). I was then told I was banned from scheduling and could leave a message from the office manager. I have left several messages each weeks apart and no one will return my calls. Every week I call back and get the same run around. I even called the nurse triage to make sure I have a bridge prescription for my two medications I am prescribed and they will not call me back either. The negligence is unheard of. I have been dealing with this for the past month. Please do yourself a favor and do not use this practice. I have never been treated so terribly by multiple different office staff.
