It's a decent park. There is a swimming pole with a few slides. Skaters will dig the designated area for them. I won't be joining them, because would probably break something. Glad they have fun. As for the pool it's fairly basic. There are some nice open areas for picnics. Families do enjoy this. As for everything else, soccer fields are of good quality. It's a county park, so don't expect bells and whistles. If you're in the area, it's a nice place to take a break. Parking is plentiful, and nice folks here. read more

Nice ground . Converted a football field to cricket but the surface is good . Nice and slopy outfield . Sides are nice and big . Straights are small. Inner field looks very close to the boundaries in straights ... wicker is ok. They leave sprinklers on and the next day the outfield is quite wet . Lots of parking and nice washroom facilities .. not much of shade on one side of the ground . Lights are there but we played a day match .. minor league ground ! A great Waterpark. Fun slides and a diving board on the deeper area. The food choices give lots of options and the prices are reasonable.

Terrible customer service very disappointing. But besides that the slides and the park was fun. Also they were cleaning the ground with a water hose and they were not washing down the tables properly they were just using the hose to clean. But overall decent Waterpark I would definitely go to a different though. read more

Great skatepark, big kidney, big vert ramp, nice lil mini section, pyramid, rails, pole jam, good for round wall or street riders. The locals are nice, and help you learn. Jerome could be a bit bigger but over all nice flow. read more

We had a soccer tournament here. Fields are in good shape and plenty of parking. Bathroom left a lot yo be desired but, it's a park. Better than a portable toilet at least. read more

OMIGOSH... I had my 16th birthday BBQ here @!$ years ago. It's a great park, tons of picnic space, grills, covered banquet areas, swimming pool, water park, etc. Huge baseball field, remember watching my high school sweetheart play ball here. Glad to see it's still around and has expanded to include a skate park and marked hiking trails. Come out and enjoy this awesome park! read more

My 22 month old daughters came here for the playground. The playground has quite the variety of equipment for young toddlers to elementary. The state of the equipment is in a good state. The ground around the playground has adequate woodchips for safety and overall appearance. read more

Holy crap, it's here on yelp....I just got a flashback being 10 and swimming in the pool, jumping off the diving board and all that goodness. While I can't say how the facility is now, I will say it's the bomb diggity for kids and offers multiple activities (skating, swimming, baseball, nature walk). I remember my dad taking me on a walk around the grounds to the Marumsco Wildlife Refuge and calling for geese and ducks to come to us. I remember mom always loving to lay in the sun by the pool on the grassy areas. Good memories for a family that didn't have a lot of disposable income. read more

I lived in the Woodbridge area for some time and I've got to say this is a nice park. You can plan a party, have a picnic, play some ball, swim, exercise, lay in the park, grill out or see a game! Just come check it out over the train tracks is where it's at. read more

Great park. I agree with both of the other reviews but feel the need to warn parents of toddlers or children still too young to enjoy nature that the playground is subpar. The county could stand to upgrade it to something more modern or even bigger (there is plenty of land at this park). There are playgrounds in Lakeridge years ahead of this one. Came here for kids' Soccer game. There soccer fields are well-maintained. Parents are settled/ seat in between the two soccer fields and can watch the game up close. Parking is very easy and right at the fields. To my biggest surprised the bathrooms are clean with good air circulation. read more

Not sure about the lady who left the review before mine, but we had a great experience. My husband "forgot" to rent a pavilion for my daughter's birthday, so instead we brought her and a couple of her friends with us to the pool. The staff was friendly and welcoming, especially one young man named Kyle (maybe Lyle?). Our only scary moment at the pool was when our daughter's friend went a little too far in the big pool and as soon as she couldn't touch, she called out. We were a couple feet behind her and started to rush over, but right away the lifeguards jumped in for her and saved her. Our local community pool only has one lifeguard (and they're usually wearing sweatpants), so this is now our go-to place for swimming! read more

Took my kids swimming here many many years ago. When our son suggested we take his kids to the pool I wondered if it had been kept up well enough. No worries... The pool is clean and well run. The guards pay attention and keep things moving smoothly. The grandkids love it as much as their dad did so many years ago! The slides are a big hit for older kids and space for younger ones is fun as well. Good going to Pr. William County Parks! read more

Aside from the sports fields and playground and clean facilities, I really enjoy the picnic area and the trail. It's long enough for a fitness walk but you don't have to fear getting lost or anything like that. A great place, free to enter if I remember right, so if you just want to walk and enjoy nature you should come here. :] read more

I have been coming to this community pool for years (even as a kid) and my experience yesterday will NOT have me returning....EVER AGAIN!!!! I was excited to introduce this pool to a friend of mine and her 4 year old daughter (which I had my 4 year old daughter with me as well). We got there around 3:45 and entered the pool with our children as soon as the 15 minute break was over. We entered in the shallow end making our way towards the 3 feet area. It wasn't even 30 seconds that we entered the pool, and saw a tiny boy (approx 2-3 years old in a life jacket), face-down in the water and arms waving all over the place. (I am literally shaking while trying to type this). It was a good 3-5 seconds before I could get to the kid, looking around to see if the lifeguard was watching....guess what??? NOPE!! As I'm frantically racing towards this young boy, I am watching his face turn desperately gasping for air. (I am assuming this kid didn't know how to balance himself in a lifejacket which is what kept his face in the water). I pull the boy out of the water by his lifejacket and saw him spit up water while burping (which is what happens when you swallow water while breathing in). I start to pat his back (with a little force) hoping this help him spit up any remaining water so he could finally catch his breath. As I'm walking towards the side of the pool (so I could get the boy out), I yelled at the lifeguard asking him if he saw the little boy. His EXACT response "Yes, I saw him. But I have to wait 10 seconds before I can jump in!" WHAT IN THE HELL KIND OF ANSWER IS THAT??!! As a parent, I am appalled at this response and felt that was not an acceptable answer. While I'm arguing with the lifeguard, he blew his whistle for another lifeguard to come over. Another lifeguard came over, and was explained the situation. He immediately laughed. Another mother standing by said "There is nothing funny about that little boy drowning." While my expression for lack of attention was voiced, a pool operator in a white t-shirt, came over and asked me to leave that specific area of that lifeguard. I expressed my concern that this lifeguard saw this little boy in great distress and did NOTHING (even after he admitted that he saw him). Now I'm sure you all are thinking what I thought to....."Where is this kids parents?" At the time, I wasn't thinking of that in the beginning because I was more concerned to get the little boy out of the pool. However, when the pool operator asked me to leave that specific area, I picked up the little boy and tried to find his mother/parents/or responsible party. As I started walking back towards the shallow end, this woman was walking towards me, smiling. She simply said "Thank you." And I lost it.....gave her a piece of my mind and told her I should call the cops on her. She just looked at me and kept smiling (I honestly don't think she spoke English). I returned her son to her and went on my way. However, it doesn't end there. The staff got the mothers statement...BUT NOT MINE!! Ummm hello....the mother wasn't even there when all of this happened. At that point, my blood was boiling. It wasn't long after that incident that we decided to leave. On my way out, I spoke to the park manager, Lindsey (I believe that's her name. I have it written down somewhere). I explained the whole situation and she said "There is no 10 second rule and that lifeguard was in the wrong." THAT LITTLE IMMATURE KID/LIFEGUARD SHOULD BE FIRED IMMEDIATELY!!! As a parent I will see that the appropriate action is given and that "hopefully" this doesn't happen again. read more
