I brought my Great Dane in for a short feeding tube procedure; he was on chemo and had stopped eating due to stress. His entire medical team thought this procedure would be beneficial, and his prognosis was excellent from his oncologist (2+years). I waited a week just so I could get in with Dr. Noone, who we had used in the past. We only went for a laparotomy with gastric tube placement and that is all we discussed and that I signed off on. During our consult on 6/13/19 it was determined his kidneys were stressed and Dr. Noone stated he wanted to keep him overnight for fluids and that one anesthetic event could put him in renal failure. I agreed to leave him overnight, and I told them if his kidneys had not improved in the morning, I would just come pick him up and we'd try a new appetite stimulant. Dr. Noone and his technician assured me they'd call me first thing in the morning to let me know so I could come get him if I wanted to. They NEVER CALLED the next day. I left multiple voicemails, and they NEVER CALLED ME BACK. I called the ER side, and someone told me he WAS ALREADY IN SURGERY. I was in shock. I drove to the clinic; Dr. Noone came out and didn't tell me what he had done. At this point, I just assumed he'd done the simple short feeding tube procedure. He left for the day, and the technicians took me to the back. My boy was clearly in distress and under a heating blanket. I said to them THREE TIMES that I thought he should spend the night, and all of them said "oh no he'll be fine." Then they proceeded to shoot him up with morphine, drag him on a mat to the parking lot(while his legs were banging things in the hall) because he couldn't stand, then five of them shoved him in my car. His gums were pale and heart rate high; again I said I think he should stay, and they said he'd be fine. So I trusted them and left. When we got home, we pulled him out of the car, but he became so distressed in his breathing/gums turning pale that we determined we'd kill him if we moved him, so we spent the night on the garage floor with him. We wanted to get him to an ER, but again, we thought we'd kill him if we moved him. He suffered all night. Dr. Noone's tech had told me she checks the messages between 6-9pm; no one called me back until the next day. After suffering all night, he died the next day. It was at this point I looked at my final invoice and it showed that Dr. Noone had done A MAJOR ABDOMINAL EXPLORATORY SURGERY instead of just the simple feeding tube procedure! This was never discussed, I did not sign off on it, and I would never have agreed to that! Why would anyone put a dog who was on chemo, anorexic for two weeks, with high blood pressure and elevated kidney levels under anesthesia for THREE HOURS! It's unfathomable someone would do this, especially without permission. I still cannot understand this. My husband called Dr. Noone to ask why he did that; instead of apologizing he claimed that I requested that! He also said they didn't call me that morning because their phones were down! He also said I refused to let my dog stay overnight! Unbelievable. We then requested his medial records 5 times via email and they ignored us. Days later, they sent over FALSIFIED RECORDS DATED TWO DAYS AFTER HE WAS ALREADY DEAD. We called the owner of the practice, Dr. Filler, and he never bothered returning our calls. So here we are now without our dog because we went to this practice. This was completely avoidable. This never should have happened! We are devastated and heartbroken. We trusted Dr. Noone and he violated our trust. He performed an unauthorized surgery without our knowledge or consent! In my opinion, this is malpractice, as well as how my dog was shot with morphine and forced to go home afterwards. If you want to keep your animals alive, do not go here. Go to Blue Pearl instead.

    When we got home.

First, my old lady terrier mix had an ear infection that my typical treatment of ear cleaning could not resolve, so I brought her in for professional care. A few weeks later, my heart dog had developed a nasty case of the itchies on his underside, so I brought him in for some relief. I saw a different doctor on each visit but both were great in their own way. I felt like my pups were in good hands the whole time. I followed each doctor's recommendations for my babies and their issues cleared up almost instantly. I really like that they have an online account where I can request appointments or review my pets' histories and treatments. I also love how friendly and helpful everyone on staff is. Not only did they make me feel comfortable, but they eased my old girl's nerves and much to my surprise, let my heart dog, Rex, put his guard down. I normally have to keep a muzzle on him when outside of the house because he can be unpredictable and I worry that he might get nippy with a vet, especially a new one. That was not the case here at all. Rex was on his best behavior and seemed to even enjoy his visit, which is a first for him. He was so relaxed that I took his muzzle off just before they were going to give him a shot. I worried that he might react negatively to the shot but he took it like a champ and loved the attention he got from staff. He was in such a good mood, that I snapped a pic of him in the exam room and I swear he was so happy, he looked like he was smiling! I like Paw Patch Animal Clinic, which is where I had first taken Rex when I moved from Miami, but I switched to CAC because it was closer to my house and I am glad I did since my baby really likes it there. I was provided with an estimate ahead of time and given an opportunity to accept or decline the vet's recommendations. Neither visit was particularly cheap (nothing really is these days), but I felt like the costs were reasonable considering the quality of service provided. CAC will definitely be my preferred vet from now on and I am happy to offer this enthusiastic recommendation on their behalf!

Our French Bulldog, Bella, is paralyzed in her hind legs and was struggling with chronic UTIs and recurring ear infections. We were forced to move from Rose's Animal Hospital (unfortunately they closed), and we moved to CAC, who had months to address these issues. Instead, they kept bringing us back in, running the same expensive tests over and over, and prescribing the same antibiotics without ever getting to the root of the problem. The bills piled up and we were CONSTANTLY bringing her in, but more concerning was the complete lack of genuine concern for ACTUALLY treating and resolving her issues. We finally left CAC- frustrated, exhausted, and no longer willing to watch Bella suffer with these recurring issues. Within ONE MONTH of switching to Roswell VETS4PETS, the difference in Bella's health was finally resolved. Their vets identified the underlying allergies causing her ear problems and created a real care plan for reducing UTIs. She has done a complete 180 since being under their care. If you love your pet and want real solutions- not endless bills and bandaid fixes- go to VETS4PETS. I cannot recommend them enough. CAC should be ashamed of the way they operate and should seriously reflect on their priorities as a veterinary clinic.

Unfortunately, there is a vet there now that does not treat people as they should be treated. He did not speak to me(f) or look me in the eye, he only spoke to my male(m) companion. When I was emotional about the content of the visit, he was visibly uncomfortable with my tears and left the room. He did not return. He is racist, misogynistic and sexist. I will not allow him to treat my animal ever again. It was gross.

They asked me to bring her in, and they always bring her out of view, even for an exam which I found odd. But this time, she came back into the room fully traumatized. The vet had pulled a few top stitches and mentioned a staple. All I know is I could not get near that area without her freaking out when we left. Also, he was concerned she might have a deep infection and told me that we needed to get a culture. He also wanted me to buy topical antibiotics for her incision. He walks out and the medical tech walks in and tells me that's going to be $200 for a culture. First of all, she's not running a fever, there was no significant redness in that area, nor pus just weeping, and no additional swelling from that time I took her home from being spade. Being medical, I definitely questioned this culture and decided to hold off until four days later when I would be coming back to have the rest of the stitches removed on top of knowing that I was using a topical antibiotic in the interim. The female vet that I saw for follow up was very kind and informed me that my dog was having a type of allergic reaction or sensitivity to that particular suture material. That made a lot of sense to me and actually once the sutures removed, she healed up beautifully. So i not has my medical background I would've unnecessarily spent an extra $200. I'm also quite shocked. He did not recognize what she immediately told me. Also, the medication that cost over $30 was pumped into a medication bottle. So they have this big bottle in the back that they're just pumping into a bottle and then way upcharging. Nice. Fast forward to today. My dog ate something she shouldn't have and I tried to get it out of her mouth but she ate it before I could get to it. I called the vet and they told me that's emergent and could I be there in 30 minutes. I said I would call right back. I called back and said it was going to be, about 35 minutes to get there and that would put me there about 530, and they close at six. They told me that that was too late. I said you guys told me this is an emergency, and you're refusing to see her? Wow, amazing care! He didn't even apologize or show great concern. I thankfully found a vet MUCH closer to my house and they were amazing. Shame on this place for trying to overcharge for things they shouldn't, for trying tomaking negligent charges, and as far as care here? What a joke! I will never step foot in this place again and my friend who referred me is also leaving after hearing what I had to say. Too many options to settle for this!

Dr. Rafla is incredibly knowledgeable, insightful, and thorough, and he goes out of his way to be helpful and provide excellent service. I trust Dr. Rafla over anyone else, which means a lot. He gives the best advice I've ever seen in a vet. Everything about his practice is all I'd want it to be. Clean, organized, accurate, no waiting, easy to get an appointment, calm and loving environment, and you get to be with your dog during checkups (instead of stuck in a waiting room without them). Everyone on staff is caring, knowledgeable, helpful, and beloved by our fur babies. Our pets feel more comfortable at this vet than our previous vets. The cats and dog enjoy their private exam room where they can explore and sniff. Our 18-year-old cat jumps high up to Dr. Rafla's exam room desk to sit next to him while he's talking to me. Dr. Rafla is very proactive with early detection, prevention, and care. He calls to ask how your pet is doing after any meds or procedures are given. Our pets are now much healthier after having him as a vet. Vine Animal Hospital has a great app where I can keep track of all our pets and their appointments with a cute picture and all their stats available. They send emails each holiday as a heads-up for how to keep your pets safe sponsored by Dr. Rafla's sweet new grand dog, Hazel. Vine also sends email reminders and follow-up phone calls for wellness exams, vaccines, preventive heartworm, flea and tic medication, and more.
