Since I'm new to the area, I wanted to explore the neighborhood, and when I saw their sign, I became curious. I wasn't sure if they operated like Goodwill or the Salvation Army, so I entered, hoping to learn more about what they do. Now, for context, I'm a 5'2" Asian female, carrying nothing but my sun hat--no bags or anything else. As I stepped inside, I noticed a bulletin board and took a moment to read the materials posted there. After that, I walked a few feet toward an area where people were sitting, seemingly waiting for their turn to enter the main floor to pick out clothes and household items. You could call it a reception or waiting area. As I stood there, simply observing the environment and the process, an older lady approached me and asked what I was doing there. I replied, "I'm just browsing." Then, out of nowhere, a younger staff member suddenly hollered at me from an inside office in a hostile tone, telling me I wasn't supposed to be there. I was shocked by this reaction. I was simply standing outside the main area, reading posted information and observing--nothing disruptive or inappropriate. Instead of being welcoming or helpful, the staff treated me with suspicion and unnecessary hostility for no valid reason. This kind of reaction seems completely out of place for a charity whose mission is to serve and assist the community. If they are so quick to act hostile toward someone who is just looking in, I can't help but wonder how they treat those who actually need their services. I hope Clothes Closet and Food Pantry of Orange Park reconsiders its approach to interacting with the public. A more welcoming and understanding attitude would be much more in line with their mission.

I had already been involved with American Cancer Society through Relay for Life at my kids local high school and my scout troop (at the time) volunteered for set up, clean up and we always had some sort of fundraising booth at the event. In a blink I became a recipient of their services. Not every knows but American Cancer Society gives the bulk of their donations to research to find a cure. They also are involved within each community providing numerous services for those battling cancer and for their caregivers. They can offer driving services for treatments, various mental health services either in group settings or one on one counseling. They also have a tremendous online community and even an online journaling option. I utilized both the online services and the therapy during my treatment. At the time I was newly divorced and had three teenagers. My mental health during treatment was paramount. I have a friend of the family who is a breast cancer research doctor- on the front line trying to understand the cancer and finding a cure and she told me that hands down- American Cancer Society donates the most amount of their incoming funds to research. Especially for Breast Cancer research. Other big name Breast Cancer non-profits don't even compare. Their reach within the community and on a much bigger scale has always made me a fierce supporter of ACS. Making Strides is their breast cancer walk/run/fundraiser. But they are making a huge impact across all cancers. I have participated in years of events for the organization and will always consider them as one of my top choices for donating time and/or money.

She was diagnosed with Stage 4 Lung Cancer in 2017, and despite all attempted treatments, she eventually lost her battle with cancer. Truly one of the hardest, saddest days of my life.   Jacksonville Memory Gardens & Cemetery is comprised of 3 areas... the Cemetery of course, the Funeral Home and the Pre-planning center which is all located within the Cemetery.   Once learned of my mom's passing, we were connected with one of the Funeral Home Directors, Damon McLeod. Damon made the process so much easier for me, my Dad, my brothers and family in terms of what to expect and plan for regarding burials, services, etc. Damon happens to have many decades of experience and it showed. Damon did not leave one stone unturned. The Funeral home directors and staff worked well hand in hand, as one team. Major kudos to them.   Plot planning, we were connected with Mrs. Jay Jacobs. Jay guided us with the Grave Plaque selections and offered her valueable feedback as well. She was very nice, attentive and knowledgeable.   And as far as the Cemetery is concerned, per my observation, it is always well kept and maintained.

My stuff rang up full price and I asked him if it was ringing up 50% off he said it was right at the moment and even smiled. I felt suspicious when I went over budget paying $119 and I never pay that much on sale days I bought three times that and payed only two thirds of that price. When I got home and checked my receipt I saw everything rang up full price. So I went up there to see if I could get my money back and they keep saying so and so is not here today and that only CSM which is Britany can do it. They say things like "I cant help you today" and stuff like that. Been trying to get my money back for like two weeks now and they just keep making up excuses like Brittany isn't here today or Monica is on a conference call and won't help me. Still waiting for my money they stole. Poor customer service, taking peoples money. *Update* got my money back after shift change and a different manager named Sharon came in and revealed to me Monica and Brittany didn't want to deal with returning my money. Thanks to Sharon the problem was solved so I recommend if you speak to a manager to get Sharon.
