There isn't much to dislike about Keg & Coin. I came in yesterday for my kids friends birthday party. I had never been but it was awesome. I appreciate the cramped setup and darkness that made me feel like I was in a 90s arcade. I was also pleasantly surprised to see all the free games for Mondays. Tetris, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and Time Crisis 3 were all free to play on Monday. In addition there are a ton of other great old games. Killer Queen was cool and I liked some of the other more obscure games. I also noted they had a lot of different beers and a pot vending machine that is also only available after 9PM. I love this place and feel like it's such a King Street staple. I attended their second annual Sour Fest recently and thought it was such a fun event, filled with a great variety of sours. Most games are 50 cents to a dollar, and they do a good job about getting newer machines. They recently put in a new Pokémon pinball machine and a Star Wars shooting game that I'm excited about! Staff are fast and friendly. The beers rotate and they do a good job about getting a variety, too. Overall, it really feels like Keg & Coin makes an effort to do community events to bring people in. read more

We had brunch with friends near Riverside so we stopped in at Keg & Coin afterwards. We love this place. We were so bummed we had to miss their rcent 8 year anniversary party. I'm happy to see that they've still got some of the rad shirts from the event. They have pinball, classic arcade games, modern arcade games, a great tap list and a killer vibe. What's not to like? Something else they have that I think more people should know about is a TON of events every single month. Sourfest 2 was a fantastic event yesterday hosted and put on by the great team at @kegandcoin . So many great sour beers on tap and we got to sample 10 of them AND get 1 full size pour of our choosing for just $25. Every time I go to the establishment, I have a great experience. I would suggest bringing cash so that you can get quarters to play the games in there. They do have a lot of old-school pinball machines and also like arcade games that you would see at leaderboard for more on the old/retro side. They do have a plethora of cider that are sour they usually change to make you up. This store does not sell hard liquor most of the stuff that they sell our cider and IPAs. Usually when I go here, I like to play the ski ball and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game they do host many events in the area such as LGBTQ events and also hosting game events. I know Saturdays that they have like a time where you can kind of bring your kids for cereal and watch older cartoons. It's a pretty fun time. The service is very good. Very cool little spot to come and spend a few hours. I love a bar with activities, I love to talk and meet new people but sometimes I want to drink a beer and focus on something fun. Keg and Coin also has a unique way of helping with my decision fatigue by offering a roll the dice option for choosing a beer. They have all the classic video games from Duck Hunter to Tetris to Skeeball. They also have soooo many activities happening like trivia, themed nights and gaming tournaments. I think this is a must stop if you have friends in town or want something fun and different to do. Pro tip this place is perfect for when your social battery is drained but you still want to be around people. I will rap up the review with why I gave four stars instead of five, I have been to Keg & Coin a few times and every time it is a bit hot for me. It's beginning to be a must stop for me any time I'm in Riverside. I have to go into Keg and Coin because it's just a must. This last visit I took my girlfriend for the first time and she absolutely loved it. She's not much of a beer person but thank God they had "High Noon's" there. I love beer and love trying different kinds of beer and Leg and Coin always has a great selection of beers. From some sweet and fruity to a dark lager. Some people may say they go for the games but i ultimately go for the beer and the arcade games are the bonus. If you like a certain beer, if they have in stock for sale you may purchase a four or six-pack to go so that you can enjoy them in your home. That's a win win situation if you ask me! Now when you talk about the arcade games that are there, those games will take you back to your childhood. With games like Mario, NBA JAM, NFL Blitz, Pac-Man, old classic shooter games to name a few. They always have PBR in Stock. If you are nice you can request a 90's movie to play on Netflix. I watched the first three episodes of Stranger Things to pass the time. My partner and I had a few hours to spend as we waited to visit a family member. We both love pinball and thought we'd give this spot a try. Here are the simple facts: There's street parking available just outside. It's very nostalgic and has a great assortment of games. They sell water, Red Bulls, beer, wine, hard seltzer and ciders. No liquor drinks are sold here, not even the premixed canned assortments. Games range from 25¢ to a few dollars. They have coin machines that take credit cards. They sell buttons, stickers and t-shirts by the bar. Kids accompanied by parents/guardians are welcome. So we went to play some pinball and spend a hour or two. I kind of wanted a drink but can't drink beer or wine. I didn't mind too much but was thirsty. My partner got a beer. We got about $15 in change and headed for the pinball machines. I enjoyed all the games they had available but I did wish they had an older cabinet. I understand though that the older cabinets can be harder to repair and upkeep. I played 4 of the 6 games which were $1 a play. Then my partner and I each picked our favorite two and paid $2 each for 3 plays on those cabinets. This was definitely the best deal and fave you the time to warm up and get a rhythm with the game. We also played a tabletop Pong game together. It took a few plays to try to get into the rhythm but we enjoyed it and had a good laugh about the difference between it and classic Pong. Which, btw, they have tons of classic games as well as some new ones. They even have board games if you're more into that. I love nostalgic places like this that are obviously local run, for the neighborhood, and have a charm and appeal. I hope this place is open for decades to come. It was cute to walk in and see a dad with their young kid playing video games together after school. I'd definitely visit again and recommend it to others. read more

We came here to celebrate my birthday. This bar is in a great location if you like to bar-hop. There are probably at least 5-10 more bars within walking distance from this one. The arcade area is nice as its filled with old school games. The only thing is that each play is at least $1. If you want to play a game with another person, you'd pay $2/game. Seems a bit pricey in my opinion. Also, if you are looking to eat, they do not serve food here but there are other places along the strip that do! John and Ronnie helped me plan the perfect Cheers to 60 years birthday party for my fiancé. Very reasonable pricing and they let us play a slide show on one of the TVs and the Jags game on all the others. We ordered pizza from 5 Star and had it delivered, so easy. Lots of choices to drink from beers to mimosas to sodas. That leads me in to giving kudos to an amazing bartender and hostess. Rachel was absolutely perfect! She went above and beyond in her service to Include taking videos and pictures for us. My daughter was so impressed with her, she went across to Walgreens and bought her a bouquet of flowers. This is a really fun bar/arcade. My husband and daughter had been here numerous times but this was the first for me. They serve draft and bottle beer and wine and small bites of food sometimes. Kids are allowed, but encouraged more in daytime. They have video games and pinball, new and old school. My daughter and I had a blast drinking and playing the driving games (husband was the designated driver since it was daughter's birthday). A bit dazed from last minute Christmas shopping, I was looking for Beer 30 which is now Keg & Coin. Uhhh...duh, Leah! At the same time, I was reading Matthew C.'s review since he's arguably the cicerone of local ale. Upon walking in, you will notice the many video games that Graham K. mentions in his review and a long high-top bar where your friendly bartender awaits your requests. On this particular visit, I needed a couple of six packs of various eclectic brews that would please any beer monger. They were for my family's annual White Elephant Gift Exchange Game. The bartender (I forget his name. Adam? Andrew? He had a beard and was super nice.) quickly picked out five of his favorites in a can [I went with Matt's mention of the Mango Wit] which gave me one six pack. And my bearded bartender friend put together six of his favorites in a bottle. DONE. For about $30, I left feeling confident that beers I left with would be thoroughly enjoyed by the people who'd steal them. As a bonus, I was able to sample a few of the cold offerings from the tap. This is a fun place. It's a little trip down memory lane. You can play pinball machines to your hearts content although sometimes the quarters get stuck in them. They have lots of video games from the 80s which makes it a very fun place to hang out. They also have a ski ball machine which is kind of fun and foosball which is fine. The beer selection is amazing, the staff is friendly and the bathrooms are adequate. The only problem with this place is that their air conditioner cannot keep up with the volume of people breathing and I guess the heat from the machines. So when you're in there you are sweltering. I'm not a fan of drinking and sweltering at the same time so we only go once in a while. I am thinking about going back in the winter when it might be a little cooler and maybe they can prop the doors open. All in all this is a very fun place to hang out which would be even more fun if they got the Star Trek pinball machine.... read more

The King Street barcade has been rising in popularity over the last few months and to be frank, I'm a fan! Compared to the many eyeroll-worthy bars on the block, I believe Keg and Coin has found the balance between niche and mainstream to maintain a successful business. For me, the beer comes first. And they do it right with a wide-ranging selection of Florida brews and popular microbreweries from around the U.S. Shout out to having my old alum, Proof Brewing 850 and Mango Wit in cans! Prices are very affordable and won't make you think twice when reaching for your wallet. Street Fighter, Pac Man, darts, skee ball, etc. There's something for everyone to gravitate towards. Games are cheap and exchange machines are aptly located by the front door and near the darts. I will say, the South side of the bar gets extremely warm during peak times. Like, you'll be sweating. Playing games and drinking beer will only increase your chances! Overall, a nice alternative to sitting at a bar all night. During an evening of Riverside Bar Hopping my friends and I dropped by Keg and Coin. It's a pretty cool place. As the name eludes you can expect beer and video games. We grabbed a few beers from the delightfully friendly bartender and got to playing some video games. There was a nice mix of classics and more recent releases. Most had holders for beverages which was very convenient. Personally I enjoyed one of the older games, that I played against my sister...Tetris. Yes, the 1980s arcade version. While the serious video game enthusiast may find the selection of games extensive it is perfect for some casual drinking and playing games with friends. read more
