I visited the VHC Health Physicians - Cardiology Arlington Office - for my annual check in with Dr. Perrin. Their office moved from its previous location down the street - into a brand spanking new building. The new office has been open about 2 months as of the writing of this review. At the old office location - parking was a major pain in the arse. Often times I would have to cruise the parking garage to find a parking spot. But all of the new buildings they just opened - each building has it's own individual parking garage! You enter the garage by first stopping at the gate and retrieving a ticket from the automated system, the gate then opens. As I drove in - I noted that there is a ton of available parking spots! I've never been so excited about parking before! The office is on the third floor. Upon approaching the check in desk - you are referred to several kiosks to process your check in. This was a new approach to me - I've used many kiosks and other digital check in systems - just never at Dr. Perrin's office. After checking in and paying my copay via the kiosk - I waited to be called. They were prompt and called right at the time specified. I was led back to a room and waited for Dr. Perrin. Dr. Perrin arrived promptly and we had a good discussion and plan going forward. Dr. Perrin is an awesome Doctor - I have a lot of respect and love for him - as he is a really awesome Cardiologist- I like him a lot! Upon leaving - you will want to process your parking garage payment at one of the automated parking kiosks located in the elevator lobby of each respective level of the parking garage. After processing your payment - the receipt you inserted or scanned is returned to you - and you use that to scan at the garage exit to get out of the garage. Please note - most doctor's offices are scheduling appointments way out - Dr. Perrin is no exception. At the end of my appointment - we agreed to schedule my next appointment for a year out - BUT - they only schedule six months out - so they and I have a note to schedule my next annual appointment a year from now - but to contact me in 6 months to then make the appointment. They are very busy schedule-wise - so don't come on here and write a negative review because you could not come waltzing in for an appointment in some short amount of time... The one thing I will ding the place on - and this is not the fault of the VHC Health Physicians - is the brand new building they are in - has no cafe or coffee shop. So there is no place to hang out if you arrive early and want to grab a coffee or a sandwich or a snack. Dr Eric Thorn and his staff are alway helpful and friendly. They helped my mother in law with all her health issues. The new office is very beautiful with plenty of seating area's. The parking garage is also very nice and there are plenty of parking. Dr. Eric Thorn always tries to help his patients! read more

Took my wife there for her stress test and upon entering everything was great and professional with the front desk staff. After we got called back by the assistant (I think her name was Alisah) we both felt very uncomfortable as she was rolling her eyes at us and being very condescending. She was also on her phone in the room with us and we heard her taking a picture or screenshot of something. Please do not hire people who do not belong in the medical field. read more

Very disorganized for appointment scheduling. Kept being bounced back and forth to different numbers. (Told referral wasn't in system (office told me twice that it was.) Lowers confidence in practice when can't even get a simple appointmet referral scheduled. read more

This Cardiologist office billed my stress test, echo, echo reading, and stress test reading all separate from my office visit to increase their billable amount. I tried to call their billing office number (703 558 6391) four separate times to inquire about the charges and was unable to get a hold of a rep. Their billing department's voicemail box is full and the phone system does not allow you to stay on the line until a representative becomes available. Essentially you have to call over and over and over hoping to get lucky and have your call answered. I will never go back to this physician group - save yourself some pain and go anywhere else read more

Arrived on time for my appointment but getting through the building I got to their office at 4:06pm. The service was horrible. They told me they would have to reschedule me. What horrible, horrible service after taking an hour to get here. I hate this place! read more

This is an update on my previous post. After I assume the practice read my review, they were suddenly dismissing my Dad from the practice. This meant not only could he not see anyone in cardiology, but he could not see any doctor in the practice. When I asked the nurse why, she stated that it was due to "excessive missed appointments." Well, I immediately challenged that. I told her we were late to the one appointment, but we had never missed another one. She stated she would have her manager give me a call. After two calls with the practice manager, we were told that Dr. Bock would no longer be my Dad's doctor (boo hoo), but we were free to see any other doctor in the practice. Apparently, the practice manager was given misinformation about my Dad's missed appointments. read more

Dr. Eric Thorn and RN Mary Lou Hopkins and their weight loss program has been a blessing to me and my family. The comprehensive course on food was beyond informative and educational! ALL the things you thought you knew about food and what you thought was healthy was a lie! They schooled us on the TRUTH about carbohydrates, fats, and what it does and does NOT do to our body. The program in the beginning was tough because your body is addicted to the sugar and carbs, but following the program and sticking to it, after a while became easier. I started the program in November 2018 and today April 2, I have lost a total of 34 pounds. I feel better, and although I have a ways to go, I honestly feel like this is not a diet but a change of lifestyle, something that I will be able to maintain for the rest of my life. It's all about finding the recipes you love, finding substitutes for the recipes that you've made in the past and honestly just being patient with yourself. It took years to put on the weight, so it will take time for it to come off. This program has also made a difference in my daughter's life who suffers from extreme eczema. By eliminating carbs we noticed her skin clearing up and now we both have fun creating recipes that the whole family can enjoy. Enrolling in this program was a life changing event. I look in the mirror and feel proud of all that I have accomplished and only wish I knew about the program sooner. I LOVE the support Mary Lou provides, our Facebook group encourages me and my other doctors LOVE the results from the program. When I started the program I was pre-diabetic with a A1C of 6.3 and I am now down to 5.7. I was able to get off of my meds and suspect my blood sugar will go back to normal range in the next month or so. I can't thank Dr. Thorn and Mary Lou enough for giving me the tools to take back my life and live the healthiest life I can. All those years wasted on weight watchers and I was never able to lose weight and keep it off- now that's all changed. Enroll in the program, you won't regret making this investment into your health.
