Went to vibe twice had the poke bowl, the Buffalo wings, the açaí bowl and the vegan breakfast scramble. The poke bowl and the wings were amazing, full of flavor and exceeded our expectations. The next time we went we got the breakfast scramble and the açaí bowl and they were more of a miss. The açaí bowl toppings looked great but sadly the açaí bowl was so sweet that it was hard to eat and didn't taste like açaí and it's normally tart flavor. Food here was damn good. The house made salsas were amazing. The BBQ "brisket" sandwich was amazing (I could drink the sauce) and the cashew cheese nachos were awesome. The smashed avocado was the best I've had in a long time. One of the few restaurants that have many vegetarian options in Hilo. The first time we went, we got the mushroom swiss burger and the big fat Greek salad, which were delicious. They use beyond burgers, they don't make their own (which sometimes is better based on my experience with plant based burgers). However, the second time we went, we were a little disappointed. We got the mushroom bruschetta, which to be honest had a weird taste and texture. I got the tamales, which were delicious except the rice it was served on was plain white. Don't even bother with the wings -- mushy and not crispy at all. No complaints with the jackfruit nachos and teriyaki tofu sandwich -- these were good! Vibe is a vegetarian restaurant with vegan options. Unfortunately Hilo, Hawaii doesn't have any all vegan restaurants, but everything (vegan) I've had at Vibe is delicious and keeps me coming back! They're now open for Sunday brunch (only place I can find vegan breakfast in town) and they always have several vegan specials. In addition to food, they have an extensive list of coffees, limeades and lemonades and they offer local kombuchas and local vegan ice cream. read more

Vibe cafè is a nice bridge between the herbivore and the omnivore world. They use a beyond meat burger patty for all of their burgers (which is hearty like meat but definitely is not) aside from the philly and the bbq brisket sandwiches, which are house made with a seitan loaf (meat substitute.) I thoroughly enjoy all of their rainbow lattès as well as their caffeinated drinks! They also use locally sourced 100% Puna Coffee. My current favorites on the menu are the 'Fiesta taco pizza'- (a taco style pizza? Exquisite.) I also really like the matcha on ice with soy, as well as the iced lotus blossom chai. read more

I had lunch and upon leaving requested to take my cappuccino with me, the server said it would cost $0.30 for a cup to go, wow I left a 20% tip which equaled $5.27 and the establishment wants 30 cents for a paper cup???? go figure.... When I questioned the server about the charge, they said rudely "I will pay for it"; well I gave them 35 cents for the cup and they did not even give me the change of 5 cents, whoa.... it's not the money it is the principal of the incident.... where is their aloha?? NOT COVID SAFE: They sell fake masks with holes in them, I said what the heck is this junk, multiple staff were wearing them when I came in to pick up to go drinks, two kitchen staff weren't even bothering to wear masks, and when I asked one of the girls with a fake glitter mask on if there was protection beneath the mask and she said no, "you know most people are vaccinated now," I said you're putting people at risk, this is unsafe and unsanitary and she said the owner doesn't care if she doesn't wear a real mask and I said then she's putting people at risk and the server said well then don't come here anymore and I said fine **** I won't lol. Gross. I can buy my own Kirkland signature organic lemonade and put a drop of lavender in it myself. Went here on our last big Island trip and have to say this was the best Vegan place I've been to in Hawaii. Literally beats out any other place thus far as everything is plant based and what tops it out is you can add CBD​ to any drink (for an ​additional cost of course). The staff​ are extremely​ helpful, the ​facilities are nice and neat, they support local/ethical brands, and have THE best plant-based food.
