Gluten free pink waffle

The food was great! We had pink waffles, an açaí bowl, a white chocolate toffee latte, and the egg breakfast. They had gluten free bread and the pink waffles were gf!

Love the aesthetics of this place from the neon signs, lights, wallpaper, to the wicker egg chair! It seems their menu changes because a lot of the pictures on Yelp of the food wasn't on the current menu. I ordered the jus' avo and added an egg and well, yup. That's what avocado, egg, and bread taste like haha The kalua pork wrap was soooo good though and my boyfriend couldn't stop commenting on how good the chips were (very nice crunch and flavor) Tried the "mane" matcha drink and I absolutely love their matcha blend! Didn't know what I wanted coming in and yet, this happened to be exactly it. Note: you order at the counter, they give you a number to take to your table and bring your food out to you! Good amount of parking right outside as well

11/10 food and ambiance!!! Everything was delicious and very fresh tasting ingredients. Incredible gluten free options as well, and celiac approved as my sister is celiac. Service was wonderful and everyone working there was incredibly nice. Instagram-worthy interior and food presentation. Will definitely be coming back when I'm in Hilo again

Matcha latte

The food was delicious and beautifully presented. The ambiance is chic and chill and the service was great! Highly recommend this place. Also a great location to have a bite before heading to the airport since it's so close.

Took a bite before taking photo. That's when I knew I HAD to Yelp this place

This Açaí bowl is amazing, very much like my favorite place in Waikiki. The coffee was also excellent. Already took a bite before taking the photo, made sure it was delicious before giving my thumbs up

From the delicious avocado toast on fluffy sourdough bread, to the strawberry matcha with fresh cut strawberries and the decadent flavorful cupcake -- the thought and creativity in mixing pistachio and raspberry cacao was flavorsome. The strawberry waffle was also delicious. I have to say, Vibe Cafe is it! Their boho decor, colorful wallpaper, "good vibes only" neon sign, an adorable rattan chair (cute for pics) and tons of seating will make for a cute date or girls only day! They also have bar seating and outdoor picnic tables! Service was great, owner is sweet and baristas were friendly! Make sure you add this to your list of places to try!!

When I was planning a brunch for me and my friends, Vibe Cafe came to mind. I haven't been here since they revamped the cafe so I wasn't exactly sure what to expect. I searched through their instagram and I saw how cute and aesthetically pleasing their decor is. I knew it was the spot for me. I was planning to have a brunch where I was also proposing to my bridesmaids. I just have a handful of girls but I called ahead to see if I needed to make a reservation in advance for our party. The person I talked to said I didn't need to make one. I was a little nervous about the space because I remember the cafe being a little on the smaller side. Fortunately there were two open tables when we walked in on a Sunday. Perfect for me, my girls, and of course my mother who joined us. The workers were so kind and patient with us. I know we were a bigger party so they even offered to move the tables closer together. They have you order at the front and take your number to the table, where they bring out your food. They also have water available for everyone who wants to help themselves. Our food and drinks were delicious and came out on a timely manner. It even came out faster than I anticipated! We offered to put away our dishes but they told us to leave it on the table and they would put it away for us. How sweet! This spot ended up being the perfect place to have my brunch and I'm so grateful for the cute and warm environment. We all had so much fun! :)

Delicious and refreshing food and drinks! Great customer service and short wait time! Definitely recommend this place!

Such a super cute spot! The decor and food both wonderful. Try the Kalo on ulu sourdough...ono!! My hubby got the kailua pork wrap and he really liked it too. Perfect sizes if you don't want the kanak attack. Would recommend and come back! Parking is plenty and easy to get to. Mahalo Nui Vibe Cafe!

Vibe was a vibe! Walked in and thought, what a cute little place! We ordered at the counter and sat down. The people at the counter were friendly! I was kinda stuck between 2 dishes & asked the cashier what she would pick, she said the pollo rustico so that's what I went with. My partner had a pastrami sandwich. We ended up eating half and switching so we could try both! Both sandwiches were made out of ulu bread which was amazing! I loved the use of local ingredients. Everything tasted fresh & pretty healthy as well. I am excited to go back and try some other things on the menu.

Açaí bowl

Get the Açaí bowl! $14 with the local honey. Good customer service with a vibey environment.

The Vibe Cafe Acai bowl is the BEST I've ever had - be sure to add the almond butter!

The Booch Bar - Chicken sausage side and banana walnut sourdough French toast

We tried the simple breakfast plate and a breakfast sandwich, and both were tasty and really hit the spot. Since we went on a weekday, it wasn't too busy inside, which made for pretty quick service. Overall, it was a solid breakfast stop and a nice place to grab a bite before heading out for the day.

We didn't think of anything when we saw it the first time. By just looking at the name of it though, my immediate reaction was, "Is this a kombuchas bar??" Well, it is but it's not just kombuchas they serve; it's more than that. The breakfast/brunch dishes they serve (although they don't have a huge selection) are quite diverse. I do incorporate a lot of vegetarian/vegan diet into my daily meal routine so when I saw the Verdant Vegan I simply couldn't skip it. As my daughter and I usually split a plate when we dine together she agreed to this option of mine. Glad we did. This plate has all sorts of goodness included in it. Sautéed veggies, house-made lentil walnut chorizo, ginger beet kraut, fire-roasted jalapeno cashew crema, fire-roasted tomato salsa, and it's topped it off with sprouts. This whole thing comes with either purple sweet potato home fries or red rice (which we went with the purple sweet potato fries and ended up getting a side red rice. We also got the side kimchi and one egg sunny side up.) And we shared a 16oz Ceremonial Matcha latte as well. This vegan plate is way more than vegan. It's mighty as hell. For those who are still not sure about vegan options will definitely second guess it for something that isn't vegan/vegetarian. It's truly nutrition packed in so many different ways. If I lived close to this cafe, I would eat here once a week to enjoy this delightful meal. I am not kidding. I enjoyed the matcha latte very much although my daughter rated it as "okay". She likes her matcha in a very particular way so it unfortunately didn't impress her. This is not to say that she disliked it. She said it wasn't bad either. This place is a "walk in, order upfront, pick a table where you want to sit and one of the staff will bring your food to you" style cafe. Water is self-served. Once you are done with your meal you'll put your dirty dishes in the designated tub. I like this efficient style of serving food. This place has great vibes as well. A bit hippie-ish where bright dark colors such as purple and red are incorporated into the interior. There is even a stage where bands perform on certain days/times. Quite cool-looking. If you are visiting Hilo soon then put this place on your "must visit" restaurant list. Friendly staff, reasonable prices and quality food will entertain you for sure.

I ordered the ube iced latte and it was easily one of the prettiest drinks I had on the trip. The purple color is vibrant and eye catching without feeling gimmicky. More importantly, it tastes as good as it looks. It was lightly sweet, well balanced, and still very much coffee forward, not overly sugary like some flavored lattes can be. Service was quick and friendly, and it is the kind of spot that makes you slow down for a minute and just enjoy your drink. If you are on the Hilo side and want something a little different from your standard iced coffee order, the ube latte is absolutely worth trying.

THE CUTEST COFFEE TRUCK EVER!…read more I got their strawberry matcha and my friend got the ube latte. Their matcha was good but it didn't have a super strong matcha taste like I usually prefer but I still enjoyed it. The ube latte on the other hand, was extremely delicious. You can taste both the bitter taste of coffee but also the sweet taste of the ube at the same time! They had so many other drink options on their menu that sounded delicious but unfortunately I was visiting for a bachelorette trip and didn't get to stay long enough to try more drinks. Staff were friendly and if you're lucky you'll see cats roaming around! I love that's the staff leave food and water for them. If you're in Hilo, I recommend stopping by this coffee truck! Definitely keep this in my bookmarks for whenever I visit again.

And you need a reservation. The tiny restaurant only has three two person tables (the other party of four had two pushed together). And it is only open Wednesday thru Saturday, 7:30am- 2pm. I made the reservation for my friend's Birthday lunch by text. It is conveniently located by the farmers market, and there is plenty of free parking in the area. The space is airy, and on our visit, decorated for Easter. We were immediately greeted by Paul. The restaurant is staffed by him, and one other employee. The menu is short, and all the better for it. Paul explained the menu and gave us recommendations. I was already interested in the Pasta de Marco, which appears to be a part of a regular menu. Angel hair pasta, lightly fried, tossed with fresh veggies and pesto, and lightly toasted baguette on the side. We also had the tuna, two ways, and papaya salad. Both were perfect, incredibly fresh, all ingredients balanced, beautifully presented. Paul had us end with the Belgium waffle. I've had waffles in Belgium, and these were the best I've had. Crispy, soft, with berries, whip cream, and powdered sugar, it didn't even need the (warm!) syrup. This experience felt like being a guest in the chef's home. Paul treated all customers as a friend, he was funny, relaxed, and personable. I also personally appreciated it is the safest restaurant for me to eat at as he hates bell peppers as much as I do! It was one of the pricier spots me and my partner went to in Hilo, but it is extremely popular and the quality of the food is nice, as I said, I think this is the place in Hilo so far that I've eaten at with the "freshest" tasting food. I had not yet tried his Belgian waffles, but I saw they were served to another customer and they looked fantastic. After our meal, Paul also highly reccomended them for next time. Definitely would like to come back next time we are in Hilo, it was one of my partner and her Uncle's favorite spots (they are local to Hilo, so it's gotta be good haha). They both vouch for the ingredient quality.
