The service sucks. This was my second and last time. Placed my order. Watched people come and go. I asked for a straw. Had to ask again and got it 45 minutes later. Had to ask where my order was. The waitress never placed it. She ask again what we ordered. The manager came out and said one of the waitresses walked out on her this morning. Don't know what that has to do with my order not being placed. I guess she figured some excuse was better than none. I had to ask for the drinks that we ordered while we waited for our food. I'm beyond starving by now. Finally brings the drinks and the food. She ask what she could do, a free drink or something by way of an apology. I said comp the meal. As a firm omnivore I was weary of trying out VIBE Cafe. But after a wave of positive reviews from family and friends, I had to go! Since it is a little pricey we waited until the perfect occasion, Galentine's Day, to treat ourselves to a nice lunch. We started by splitting the stuffed shrooms. These were the most stuffed mushrooms I have ever had! They were huge caps filled to the brim with cheese, then with a gorgeous toasted top to hold everything in. I mean...what more can you ask for? I chose The Big Nasty as my entree, but I was honestly pretty full after the appetizer. I have no idea what was in the plant-based patty, but it was super filling, maybe more so than beef. I enjoyed the care put into all the ingredients, especially the caramelized onions generously heaped over the patty. The atmosphere is great and most of the workers are so helpful and laid back. The food is very tasty, but a little over-priced. The main reason for 2 stars is the owner/manager. She is rude and not helpful at all. I ordered nachos and tacos were brought out. My friend and I said we would gladly have the tacos instead since they were already made and looked SO GOOD, but she told us "that's not what was on the ticket and the prices are different" and had a horrible attitude. We got our jackfruit nachos and they were great (highly recommend) and the Philly Cheese steak sandwich was also decent. I'm not sure I will frequent Vibe. I think it's worth checking out, but I really suggest avoiding contact with the owner if you can. read more

First time eating here after eyeing it out for months. They were out of the chicken wings so I got the beet poke over mixed greens instead! Very delicious but next time would get with rice if you're looking to make it more similar to real poke. If you don't like wasabi ask for the avocado crema on the side, it was a delicious sauce but definitely could taste the wasabi. A little expensive for what you get honestly. First impression was good, 3 different waitresses welcome us after we seated our selves. When we were ready to order, 5min later, all of them were talking behind the counter. Waited a bit until I finally got up & asked if they wanted us to place order at counter, since there was a sign "order here". We had questions about couple of the items we wanted & asked for most of the nacho toppings on the side, she rolled her eyes, you could tell she was annoyed. The food was sub par. Don't order the jackfruit tacos unless you like a cold tortilla & it falling all apart. Not sure if they forgot to warm it first or what. Since the waitress only came by once to check on us. OMG, I had the beet poké bowl today, and it's simply one of the best meals I've ever had. An amazing balance of strong flavors that you might think would clash with each other: seaweed, beets, kimchi and wasabi. But, wow, every bite was fantastic. My wife found this spot on Happy Cow and boy am I glad we stopped in. We had an early start on our way to Volcanoes national park and they were open bright and early with so many great vegan options available. The owner chatted us up, game me a birthday green lemonade (yum) and even suggested some cool local attractions. The food was great and it set the tone for our great day. I think the great reviews for this place are for dining in. The lavender drinks have so much flavoring it's not good at all. The vanilla orange blossom tastes like a normal latte. Wait time took forever for a to-go coffee, with others who arrived later getting drinks first. read more

Main Dish: I am a HUGE skeptic when someone tells me that a veggie burger "really tastes like a beef burger". I have to tell you, the burger at VIBE really does take like a beef burger. Appetizer: I literally almost ate an entire bowl of the goat cheese with a Greek flare (FYI, that was the first time I've ever eaten goat cheese. I was so stoked to try this place, and have been thinking about it since I saw its opening online. Living on Kona side it took awhile to make my way over and try. I'm sad to say the experience was overall pretty disappointing. Please avoid the lavender latte! It tasted like someone dumped a bunch of essential oils in it, my friend and I both ordered it and couldn't drink it the taste was horrible. The jack fruit nachos were so tasty and were a little spicy, the bacon bleu burger was pretty good, we ordered the Philly cheesesteak and I wouldn't order that one again. This is my first time experiencing a Cafe like Vibe!!! You feel welcomed as soon as you walk into the door. The atmosphere is unique and vibrant. The food is amazing. I had the lavender lemonade, The big nasty (complete vegetarian bacon burger) I've never had vegetarian bacon before but it was awesome! We were on our way to Maunakea and stopped for dinner at this cute place. My husband and I are NOT vegans so we were a bit hesitant about it and we were afraid that it wouldn't satisfy us. BUT let me tell you, it really made us consider going vegan because the food was just that amazing. We ordered the "poke" bowl which is made with beets and OH MY, it was AMAZING! I love VIBE!!!!! I honestly think this Vegan spot will do great because not only are they serving QUALITY food, but they have REASONABLE prices. I live for the lavender latte with kratom in it. They're vegan loco moco was so good/SATISFYING since I haven't had loco moco in over a year because no one has it vegan style!!! They also have vegan pastries, breakfast/brunch/lunch. The staff is super friendly. For right now, they close at 3pm and are temporarily closed on Sundays but they will be opening for dinner soon!! The was a gem of a find early Monday morning. Looking for vegan offerings this cafe came up on a google search and it was much more than anticipated! The menu is loaded with tasty creations and variety! The atmosphere is spacious, clean, inviting, and conscious. The service was friendly and food prep timely. The food presentation was impressive as well. Much appreciated is the plant based focus and the environmentally friendly considerations. Cheesesteak (1/5): Bland. Service 3/5: Not very friendly. Price: Reasonable. $9 for a donut though? Will at least try next time as they didn't have any today. Would get everything again except the cheesesteak. Wish sandwiches came with something else other than tortilla chips. Some kind of sweet fruit sauce served with sandwiches. Food wise I love the Loco Moco (very good), and Veggie Burger. If you're feeling adventurous, try the Kratom. It's locally grown here and it is an enjoyable experience. We came here twice in one week - excellent, tasty, creative vegetarian food. First visit we shared a vegan loco moco - believe it or not. Nice presentation using a Beyond vegan burger and Follow Your Heart vegan egg patty on top of brown rice with a tasty mushroom gravy (see my photo).
