She even rescheduled my initial appointment when I needed to cancel (with notice). I showed up to my appointment 10 minutes early which gave us more time for the consultation. Once the appointment started, she told me she hasn't taken new clients in over a year because the wait for her existing clients became too long. I asked, "so how did I get here?" She said she didn't know and that maybe I just emailed her at the right time. When I left my appointment with frizzy hair (I guess she doesn't flat iron hair or normally work with curly hair) she told me I could reschedule a new appointment next season or next year, it's up to me... I'm sure she is far more friendly and helpful with her existing clientele. I'm also sure I won't be returning but that is probably alright with Amy.

Whether it's color, cut, or a full transformation, she truly knows what she's doing and takes great care of me from start to finish. Yes -- it's expensive (I never spend less than $500), but honestly, it's worth every cent. You can tell you're in the hands of someone who's experienced, talented, and thoughtful about her work. She also offers a free consultation, which I really appreciate. Appointments can take time (mine have ranged from 3-5 hours depending on the service), but it never feels rushed. Sahar's assistants--who I believe are family--help her out and keep everything flowing smoothly. The whole team is super professional and kind. The salon vibe is always on point--there's music, it's busy, and it feels like a place where people actually enjoy being. Booking is also super easy through Instagram. She responds quickly, and one time even moved my appointment up because I had a vacation coming up--so accommodating! If I could afford it more regularly, I'd come all the time. Even her $80 haircuts are out of my budget for frequent visits, but I 100% recommend her for both special occasions and regular care if you can swing it.
