    Veggie Breakfast Burrito
    Maria B.

I came here the other day for lunch and ordered the veggie breakfast burrito. Unfortunately, there must have been a mixup with my order, because it took a long time for my burrito to make it out to me even though I was seeing other customers receive their orders quickly. I brought it up to the staff since I'd been waiting for a while, and they were super quick to resolve it and get my food out to me. They even gave me a slice of banana bread to make up for the wait (delicious, btw). Being gluten free, I honestly can't remember the last time I had a good breakfast burrito. This one did not disappoint and was well worth the wait! Perfectly cooked egg, well seasoned potatoes, cheese, beans and avocado. I think there's also some kind of crema or salsa inside, but I also got hot sauce on the side, which was really tasty. Definitely will be back anytime the breakfast burrito craving hits.

Great spot for a quick bite. Healthy, filling foods. Got a fave, the Bombay bowl with rice. Good for you, good for planet. Quick, polite staff/ service , upbeat background music, bright clean space.

BOMB tacos! Got the venison tacos today and they were superb. An explosion of flavors, lots of meat and filling. So pretty too!

The food choices were great, the service people were knowledgeable and very engaging. We went there because of celiac needs and honestly one of the best gluten-free options I've had in years. I highly recommend this not only from celiac standpoint but just simple great tasting food.

Satisfyingly filling warm Bowl of Fiesta

If there is one restaurant that I have visited the most in the last three years, this is it - and to think I live 71 miles away! Back when my diet consisted of primarily plant-based foods, I couldn't find a better selection of healthy choices from breakfast to late lunch and everything in between. I am not a creature of habit so I make it a point to explore menus and try something different. Much to my surprise, I find venison in one of their breakfast offerings. I wasn't in the mood for meat but I would definitely order this the next time I drive down from OC. This morning, after deliberating what I would fill my tummy and fuel my day, I opted for the Fiesta Bowl with hot sauce on the side. It was warm and the spicyness from the hot sauce which I evenly mixed in was perfectly mild, leaving my taste buds savoring the flavors of the ingredients, not overpowering it with heat. It was a delightfully filling first meal of the day on a beautiful clear Sunday that I grabbed my coffee and walked down to Doheny State Beach and spent an hour walking barefoot on the shore, watching volleyballers, surfers and beach goers...and finish this review.

    Mediterranean Wrap

I like the quick casual health conscious concept of the place. It does seem a little feminine which is fine but it did make me feel a bit out of place. Service was very good. First I ordered a taco toast which was delicious but I should have ordered two because it wasn't very big. I should have know because it was pretty inexpensive. So after I finished the toast I ordered a Mediterranean wrap which was pretty big. After eating the toast I couldn't finish the wrap. Both items were good but I did prefer the taco toast by quite a bit. I thought the price was pretty reasonable as long as you order an appropriate portion the first time. I did enjoy trying multiple items anyway.

Great Food! Great Service! Love the location near the beach Just manifest your parking spot on busy days. Spent my birthday breakfast here which was perfect because the beach was a few blocks away if you ever wanted to walk to aid in digestion! What can I say this is my "Go-To" when i am plain lazy to prep my own food. Love love love this place.

    Macro Bowl with chicken added

As someone who has a hard time finding places I enjoy eating on the run, this is such a pleasant surprise. I love a loaded bowl and was happy to be able to the option to get something healthy. The bowl was pretty big too in my opinion but I'm glad since it was pretty expensive. Delicious though :)

25 mins wait to get 1 juice , very slow service , they always forget and mess up your orders.

It's just very expensive for what you get. I ordered two açai bowls at $16 apiece and they were very small.

Alohana was close by, so we drove up the road and were there within 5 minutes. There's a few parking spots out front and we were able to get one at 2:50 pm on a Saturday. Inside it's cute, clean and there's seating, but they also have a few tables and chairs outside so we ate out there. I went with the Campground which has both Pitaya and Acai base, some granola and berries and banana slices. They were busy at the time making orders and we didn't wait too long for ours to come out. I will say, the bases were a little frost bitten or more icy when I got it, but it did melt down a bit more once I started eating it and then everything started to blend and it tasted good. I'm a huge fan of Blue Bowl and feel like nothing compares to theirs, but Alohana is on par with that. It's good if you want to take it to go and let it melt down a little to have that smooth consistency instead of fighitng with it and getting chunks at a time of the base. Definitely would recommend coming here after a long day at the beach or picking one up before heading to the beach to enjoy there. They also sell coffee and other random, but very cool, tchotchkes, clothes, art, that you wouldn't find at any other Acai bowl shop and it's very Dana Point. Great place to pick-up a unique souvenir if you're visiting from out of town.

The line was about 10 people deep, so I decided to place the order online for my two smoothies and sit and wait. My order said it would be ready in 10 minutes, but I figured it may be a little longer given the line. So I sat down and watched about ten people order and get their bowls. After about 20 minutes I went up to the pick up counter and asked if I could check on my order. The young lady asked what I had ordered. I said smoothies and she said "I don't know I'm doing bowls", turned her back and started doing....well bowls I guess. After that super helpful interaction, I sat back down and waited some more. 30 minutes after I ordered I approached the counter again. The bowl person looked at me, walked away and started petting a dog in the shop. Her enthusiastically helpful nature is certainly something to be studied (that's sarcasm for those who missed it). Finally, an older gentleman approached and asked what I had ordered. A few minutes later I finally had my smoothies. Were they worth the 30+ minute wait and the parking lot game of Tetris? Not especially. Will I go back? Not likely. Had the Bowl Baroness been more helpful perhaps I would have left feeling differently.
