ORANGE COUNTY CREAMERY @ SAN CLEMENTE This spot is located in downtown San Clemente. My boyfriend and I were just walking by after parking on the street nearby. Most of the street parking is free, some spots are two hours while others are only 20 minutes, so definitely pay attention to the signs. Parking can be a little difficult, but once you see someone leave, you can usually grab a spot pretty quickly. We honestly didn't have too much trouble finding parking, it just depends on timing and luck. There aren't really seats inside, but they do have one big table outside. Overall, downtown San Clemente is super walkable, and there are plenty of benches nearby where you can sit and enjoy your ice cream while walking around. My boyfriend and I tried a bunch of their flavors, and my personal favorite was the mint chocolate chip. The chocolate flakes inside were so delicious and had the perfect texture. My boyfriend got the chocolate coffee flavor, which he really liked too. We each got one scoop, and it came out to around $4-5 each. Overall, everything was delicious. It feels like a small hidden gem, and I would definitely come back. The ice cream was super good, and the service was great too.

Orange County Creamery is a small ice cream shop in downtown San Clemente offering fresh scoops in a convenient grab-and-go setting. Pros: This spot is simple, easy, and right in the middle of the main San Clemente strip, so it's convenient if you're already walking around the area. It's more of a quick stop than a sit-down dessert place, which fits the location well. The ice cream was really good and tasted fresh. I got the coffee chocolate scoop and my girlfriend got the mint chocolate chip, and both were solid. They also offered samples, which made it easy to decide before ordering. The service was friendly and efficient, and everything moved quickly even when there were a few people in line. Cons: Parking is the main issue here. It's all street parking with a mix of short-term (15 minutes) and longer (2 hours) spots, so you have to be careful and quick. It can also take a bit of driving around the main road to find an open spot, especially during busy hours. Verdict: Good stop if you're in downtown San Clemente and want a quick ice cream option. Solid quality, fast service, and convenient location, but parking can be difficult.

Best ice cream I have had in awhile! Highly recommend! We will be going back again soon!

This place is located around Dana Point. The ambiance is like any other ice cream place. The service is good. The ice cream is not too bad, it gives gelato texture. J was expecting to be wow. Out of all flavors I tried, the Banana Nutella Crunch stood out to me the most.

Very tasty and some unique ice cream in a kind of gelato serving fashion. I had the chocolate coffee and the chocolate coconut while my wife had the banana nutella. Chocolate coffee had everything you would expect it to be with little shavings of rich chocolate mixed in with cocoa ice cream while the chocolate coconut was very creamy and nutty with a chocolate finish. But the favorite was the banana Nutella. Perfectly ripe aromatic bananas with just the right hand of Nutella mixed in with a vanilla bean ice cream. I really should have just ate my wives beside my own. Haha! But maybe I'll just order my own next time.

Ice Cream? Wonderful. Super creamy, and flavors were delicious. I tried a double scoop of Tiramisu/Oreo. Both were great but Oreo was my favorite. The young lady serving us was very friendly and very quick. Overall, a great environment and a great experience.

This little ice cream shop is a "must visit" if you are in (or near) Dana Point. It's in a row of shops known as, oddly enough, "The Row" and parking is on the roof. Take stairs or elevator to get down to the shops. This ice cream shop has a couple tables inside and several out on a covered patio area. They had about 14 flavors available on my visit. I was welcomed and offered tastes but I just jumped in and got two scoops in a cup of the two flavors that stood out for me - coffee chocolate and peanut butter chip. I also grabbed an ICB root beer from their fridge. I sat inside and enjoyed my ice cream. Both were creamy with vibrant flavors. The coffee had a deep coffee flavor with tiny bits of chocolate throughout and the peanut butter had a vivid peanut butter flavor with small chips of chocolate scattered throughout. Both were excellent! I really liked the small town feel of the place and also enjoyed the music they were playing in the shop. Definitely a place for ice cream lovers to patronize in south OC.

Orange County Creamery is located in Dana Point. The ice creams are so fresh and creamy, and remind me of Handel's. If I am in the area, I will definitely drop by here to try new flavors. The cashier was very nice and sweet, and allowed us to sample different flavors. I tried the taro, cherry swirl, guava and papaya, and they were all very good. They all taste real, especially the guava and papaya sorbet, which was very refreshing. I got a double scoop of the Lavender and Cherry Swirl on a cone, and a single scoop of their Peanut Butter Chip. The cone was fresh and crunchy, and not stale. I always like to get my ice cream with a cone, but a lot of places have stale ones so it is nice to know everything here is extremely fresh. You can choose between a regular cone, waffle bowl, or gluten-free/ vegan cone for just $1 more. The lavender was super creamy and had a nice, strong lavender flavor and scent. The cherry swirl was nice and balanced, with a little tartness, which I thoroughly enjoyed. The ice cream was so good, I got another scoop of their Peanut Butter Chip. It was extremely creamy and had a nice, strong peanut butter flavor, with a hint of chocolate chip shavings. I liked that the chocolate was not overpowering the peanut butter flavor. I will definitely be back to try out more ice cream flavors. There are a few restaurants and a bakery in The Row too so be sure to check them out. Apizza Doho is a few doors down, and you can swing by Orange County Creamery after for dessert... or you can go get ice cream after going to the beach nearby. Happy eating!

Orange County Creamery has some delicious flavors of ice cream and sorbet. I love the coffee chocolate ice cream, taro, and lemon sorbet! I also enjoy that they have a limited edition or featured ice cream too! They have lots of topping options and even offer gluten free cones if you like. The shop itself is really cute and they have a nice outdoor patio space as well. I highly recommend checking them out!

Really good ice cream! Smooth and creamy. A couple of things: it's a little expensive, and I didn't get a lot of ice cream in my sundae. Also, this place is located in Dana Point but called Orange County Creamery. Does this mean they claim the entire county even though they only have one location in Dana Point? Still not clear why this is the Orange County Creamery. Nice friendly staff and tables outside to enjoy your ice cream.

We came to this shop for a late afternoon treat. Lots of flavors to choose. The milkshake with three different scoops topped with real whip cream was enjoyed by a milkshake lover. I was satisfied by the refreshing flavor of a scoop of mint chocolate chip. Service was quick on a quiet Friday at 5 PM. Easy to find seating indoors or outside.

    Vegan flavors!

Visited this location with my family to check out the vegan options after having lunch a few doors down. We were immediately greeted and were able to sample a few of their vegan flavors. I settled for the PB chip which was creamy and tasty. I was excited for a flavor that wasn't a sorbet and was actually creamy. My kids enjoyed their vegan ice cream too!

We stopped for ice cream at the end of the day. Parking is in the back, good for the shopping center. There's some seating inside which is nice. The people working are nice. We were able to try lots of their various flavors, they had some good interesting ones! Only reason for 4 stars is the toppings were subpar. The cookie dough was gross and so small! Otherwise, there wasn't anything too special about the place, but it was good.

    Simple chocolate was simply delicious

Alohana was close by, so we drove up the road and were there within 5 minutes. There's a few parking spots out front and we were able to get one at 2:50 pm on a Saturday. Inside it's cute, clean and there's seating, but they also have a few tables and chairs outside so we ate out there. I went with the Campground which has both Pitaya and Acai base, some granola and berries and banana slices. They were busy at the time making orders and we didn't wait too long for ours to come out. I will say, the bases were a little frost bitten or more icy when I got it, but it did melt down a bit more once I started eating it and then everything started to blend and it tasted good. I'm a huge fan of Blue Bowl and feel like nothing compares to theirs, but Alohana is on par with that. It's good if you want to take it to go and let it melt down a little to have that smooth consistency instead of fighitng with it and getting chunks at a time of the base. Definitely would recommend coming here after a long day at the beach or picking one up before heading to the beach to enjoy there. They also sell coffee and other random, but very cool, tchotchkes, clothes, art, that you wouldn't find at any other Acai bowl shop and it's very Dana Point. Great place to pick-up a unique souvenir if you're visiting from out of town.

The line was about 10 people deep, so I decided to place the order online for my two smoothies and sit and wait. My order said it would be ready in 10 minutes, but I figured it may be a little longer given the line. So I sat down and watched about ten people order and get their bowls. After about 20 minutes I went up to the pick up counter and asked if I could check on my order. The young lady asked what I had ordered. I said smoothies and she said "I don't know I'm doing bowls", turned her back and started doing....well bowls I guess. After that super helpful interaction, I sat back down and waited some more. 30 minutes after I ordered I approached the counter again. The bowl person looked at me, walked away and started petting a dog in the shop. Her enthusiastically helpful nature is certainly something to be studied (that's sarcasm for those who missed it). Finally, an older gentleman approached and asked what I had ordered. A few minutes later I finally had my smoothies. Were they worth the 30+ minute wait and the parking lot game of Tetris? Not especially. Will I go back? Not likely. Had the Bowl Baroness been more helpful perhaps I would have left feeling differently.
