I will say, the bases were a little frost bitten or more icy when I got it, but it did melt down a bit more once I started eating it and then everything started to blend and it tasted good. I'm a huge fan of Blue Bowl and feel like nothing compares to theirs, but Alohana is on par with that. It's good if you want to take it to go and let it melt down a little to have that smooth consistency instead of fighitng with it and getting chunks at a time of the base. Definitely would recommend coming here after a long day at the beach or picking one up before heading to the beach to enjoy there. They also sell coffee and other random, but very cool, tchotchkes, clothes, art, that you wouldn't find at any other Acai bowl shop and it's very Dana Point. Instead of offering any alternatives, substitutions, or even a small discount or coupon, she just left it at that with no effort to make it right. If I'm paying for a bowl that includes certain ingredients, I expect either to receive them or be offered a solution. The lack of customer service and basic courtesy was really disappointing. Definitely not the kind of experience you expect from a place like this.
