My friend had his hair cut by Amanda Himmel. He was violated. He doesn't want to leave the house for fear of being laughed at by small children. His hair is shaved on the sides and then cut so bluntly across his forehead that it looks like bangs. He won't go anywhere without a Dodgers hat - and he doesn't even like the Dodgers! my guy is devastated. He ate an entire costco sheet cake last night just to feel something. Please. Don't subject yourself to this torture. Choose a different stylist than Amanda HORRIBLE. The rest of the salon is fine as long as you want a Karen Kut. read more

This hair salon is nicely decorated, neat and clean. I believe each hair dresser schedules their own appointments. Denise has done high lights and low lights on my hair twice now. She is extremely sweet, professional, personable, experienced and does a really nice job. I am very happy with her and her services and look forward to using her for a long time! read more

This salon is choosing not to enforce social distancing precautions, mask wearing, or disinfecting in between clients. I arrived 15 minutes early for my appointment and saw that only 2 of the stylists were wearing masks and 2 or 3 clients were wearing masks. While waiting, I watched a stylist transition between one client to another and only swept the hair, but did not clean or disinfect anything else. They have a sign on the front door saying if you do not want to wear a mask they will assume you have a disability and "per HIPPA laws" will not ask you your disability. I assume they meant HIPAA, but HIPAA laws have nothing to do with hair salons, rather they deal with how healthcare providers who bill to insurance share and protect personal health information. This is a poor attempt at throwing around false information to not enforce mask wearing. My stylist was running late by over 15 minutes and did not address me once, although she walked past me. Between the lack of sanitary conditions I witnessed for 30 minutes and the disregard for my time I chose to leave. If their perogative is to not follow health orders and repsect the health of their clientele, that is on them, but I will not use this salon and warn others who are wanting to protect their health. read more

I am disappointed, but also want to say the new owner was not there during our visit. No staff or patrons were wearing masks. I hope the new owner speaks with staff and ensures all staff wear masks. read more

I have been going to vibe for about 9 months now and have definitely found my new home for hair. Vibe salon has a super convenient location and an awesome salon vibe, no pun intended. The stylists are all super friendly and nice. Rowena does my hair and I couldn't be happier. She has helped me find a style that totally works for my stubborn hair. Holly has been styling my hair for years (cut/color)! She does an excellent job and I can't imagine going to anyone else. Their customer service is horrible. I have been there twice. Once to purchase hair products and was ignored at the counter for at least 5 minutes. This last time I walked in to schedule a hair appointment for my 2 kids. There were 4 women in there doing hair and I stood there at the counter, totally ignored for 6 minutes. My gosh just acknowledge a person and say, " we will be with you in a minute." Never again. I'd rather pay more money and be treated with dignity and respect. read more

Been going here forever but I think I I'm done. Service from them has not be happy. My hair dresser cuts corners. Three times she has let me walk out of the salon with my hair uncurled. The excuse is she doesn't have time to do it, yet I am paying for a cut, dye job and style..what gives? I have watched enough of the TV show Tabitha's takeover that I know what lazy is . I have walked out of the salon with hair dye on my skin....no attempt to remove it. She doesn't bleach highlights close enough to the scalp. I had a centimeter of brown then the highlights began. When I walk in for my appt all the stylist see me but don't tell my stylist I am here. I left this time with brown hair not vibrant red...nothing like the picture I brought in. They have a coffee/espresso machine were you make your own....don't know how to use it and no sign saying help yourself this how you put these containers in the machine. I use to tip fair, but just lousy as service went down hill. Now I am out of here. For what I paid I could have gotten better. read more

I have a haircut phobia. I've been to 3 different salons in El Dorado Hills & regretted it because all I've ever gotten is what the stylist thought would look good on me, not what I asked for. After a year of swearing off salons ,(heck I can cut & ruin my own hair & it costs me nothing!) I finally got the courage up to try another salon. Rowena at Vibe Salon was the first stylist that actually listened to what I wanted & implemented it. It's not easy for someone else to interpret & implement the idea you have into a haircut ! I like a non fussy, wash, shake & go style that allows for a bit of fancy when you run a curling brush through it. At 53 I've had a lot of experience trying to get this particular haircut & failed ( over & over & over). Rowena deserves alot of respect for dealing so nicely with such a nervous & demanding customer like me. I hope she keeps cutting hair for a long time because She's earned my trust & I don't ever want to go to anyone else. read more
