We called many in town and not a single one would pick up their phone. So I ended up doing them myself. ( don't give up on this review, there's a twist ) If I wasn't in such a rush to get them done before we moved in, I would have searched a little longer and found All Green Hardwood Floors earlier, and I would have saved myself many hours of backbreaking work. I even missing my birthday and the 4th of July because I was stuck in a house, sanding and scraping. Anyway, I looked at our stairs and threw my hands in the air. There was NO WAY I was going to do this myself. I had to break down and call a professional. After leaving a message on the phones of many of the top rated hardwood people on Yelp, I found All Green. At this time they only had one review so I was hesitant. Then I called. And guess what, they picked up the phone! Not only that, but I talked to Virgil, a very nice guy who absolutely loves what he does. He came to my house and saw what I had done, and despite knowing that I was doing the floors myself, he was gracious enough to give me a few pointers. I called many times in this period and Virgil always picked up the phone or called me back. Which is something I simply can not say about any of those other "top rated" professionals on Yelp. When we looked through his busy schedule, we found a date that was open. Though we weren't going to be in town that week, he was super helpful and willing to work with our schedule. We grew to really trust and appreciate Virgil and his willingness to work with us. While we were gone, we came home and found that not only did he do an AMAZING JOB on the stairs, but they were on time! Not to mention their price, it was perfect. I highly recommend Virgil and his company. They obviously care for their craft and are very knowledgeable. He works with local companies to get his supplies, which means he's valuable for our local economy. And, last but not least, they pick up the damn phone!

Virgil, who owns the company, promoted his dustless system and ecofriendly refinishing and the new technology involved. The work was done in a timely manner with very little dust, in fact, I had to really look for it. There was a small amount on the surface of the stove and some on window sills, but it wiped off easily just like doing any other home dusting. The smell was minimal and quickly faded after a day or two. I was hesitant to put out a large amount of money and wanted to make sure I was making the right decision. Virgil was very helpful in answering my questions. He mailed the contract to me in advance so that I could review it and ask additional questions if needed. I also had several scheduling barriers and changes. Virgil was patient and answered my calls in a timely manner. He also was able to move my refrigerator out and back in without harming the floor for a relatively small fee. The worker was professional and careful. There was no damage to floor boards and no mess left behind. I got 3 quotes and he was right in the ballpark. I'm glad I didn't go with anyone else. The floors look, and feel, beautiful and I didn't have to deal with any dust or bad odor.

He seems like a nice guy and I really wanted to hire him, but I can't hire him if he won't respond. Ended up going with a different company because we were running out of time to get the floors done. I'm confused and don't understand what happened here, but I hope he won't continue ghosting people like this.

Fabulous Floors completely FAILED us…read more Very POOR workmanship. There are many gaps between the floors and doors/door frames. There are gaps between the base shoe and frames. The base shoe they used is far too wide to match the existing molding. The completed work looks as though a novice did the job. See the attached photos. When I confronted the owner, he replied, "there's nothing I could do about that. I specialize in flooring not door molding or frames. I can't help how that looks." Seriously? Much of this could have been prevented if they laid down a layer of plywood under the hardwood floors. I ended up having to spend waaay more money to hire another contractor to fix all the issues they caused. Furthermore, I specifically requested water based coating for our hardwood floors throughout our entire house to reduce exposure to VOCs. The owner agreed he would apply water based coating and even said he would go out and buy the water based coating the day we discussed the plans. His workers applied oil based coating. After I confronted him with this huge error, he argued that oil based coating is better anyway and that I didn't know what I was talking about. He would not initially acknowledged the mistake, and after repeatedly telling him he was at fault, he confessed that he forgot to tell his workers to apply water based coating instead of oil based coating. Very unprofessional.

I wrote a glowing review that gained over 500,000 views, but sadly it was lost due to a technical issue. Here I am, seven years later, still saying that working with this company was one of the best choices we made. You wouldn't have even known he was there his work was so clean and his clean up was unlike any other contractor I've worked with. Sam removed the carpet from our son's room and a small section of the flooring in the hallway to allow for a seamless flow with the new install. I am so happy with his work that we put an offer in on a new house and he's the first vendor I called for the renovations.
