Not only did she hit up my back and shoulders but my hips, hamstrings, and calves-it was so thorough and I feel like a new woman. I've been to a lot of places that don't really use a lot of pressure and leave me feeling like I wasted my time, but this place was wonderful for a lady that lifts weights a lot and works several 12 hours shifts.

She asks at the start of each session about the problem areas. Once started, she is very intuitive about what needs attention and spends time there. She will vary the pressure if asked (she takes time to verbally check). But, frankly, she is so in tune with the depth I need, I almost always say, "already perfect." I leave feeling more relaxed and less tense. Her efforts are not just "feel good" in the moment... the positive healing results are lasting. The "add ons were deducted from my time from the 90 min massage I had already paid for. I asked the front desk about it and she said no any added services do deduct from your massage time. Why? This is NOT how it is described and as an add on why would I pay extra to take away from my massage time that is paid for? The second one I booked another 90 min massage with a female therapist. I booked at a special rate online for $119 for 90 mins and I had a gift card for $56, leaving a balance of $63. The studio charged me $87!!! I left cash tips both times. I called and spoke to Ionia at the front desk and she informed me the price was $145 NOT $119 as described through the online booking special. I asked her to have to owner give me a call since I have been a therapist for 19 years and this is DEFINATELY FALSE ADVERTISING!!! I gave it a 1 star because the lobby is very welcoming and clean but nothing else (on 2 tries in the last 2 weeks) was acceptable. Since you don't have your own room your masseuse has to really whisper and you can hear when other clients next to you are arriving or departing. It wasn't bad, just different. I always assume I will get some painful pressure applied when getting a good massage, but not with Tricia, this concerned me a little as I am used to pain to get fixed. Apparently pain is not required. Her massage is more like a medical massage, fixing what needs fixing and explaining what she is doing.
