I don't want to have to direct the session or explain what to prioritize--I'm looking for a practitioner who can assess, listen, and work intuitively from their own expertise. That's exactly what I experienced here. From the moment I arrived, the atmosphere was calm, peaceful, and grounding. The space felt safe, clean, and thoughtfully prepared, which allowed me to fully relax and receive. During the session, the therapist demonstrated a high level of skill, sensitivity, and clinical understanding. She was intuitive in her approach and addressed areas of need without me having to guide the process. I felt that she was both listening to my body and applying her professional knowledge in a way that was precise and deeply therapeutic. It's not easy to find that balance of clinical effectiveness and intuitive care, but she offers both. I left feeling supported, more mobile, and genuinely cared for. The only reason I didn't want to review was because Cynthia is too good to share! (JK, JK). But all kidding aside, I've tried about 3 other massage places around the triangle and this is by far my favorite and only location. Worth every penny! It's not your typical swedish massage place since they're medically based (and I don't really have a medical reason... I've done the pre and post natal massages), but unlike other places, I walk away feeling relaxed/refreshed and the results linger for weeks afterwards! Also, if you are interested in the prenatal massage, this place has the equipment for you to be on your belly as an option and not just the side massage. She books up fast and I didn't realize I was picky until I came here on a whim. Office is nice, professional and cozy. Love the essential oils used. You walk in feeling well taken care of. I am no stranger to massages. I have had deep tissue and hot rocks at chains and Chinese foot massages. Moonshadow is the best of them all. I went to a chain massage place last week and the chain found at most a quarter of the pressure points that moonshadow found. Moonshadow uses a more scientific approach to determine the cause of pain. I have jaw (TMJ) issues and my doctor referred me to a surgeon. I said no way and my dentist referred me here. My jaw is rapidly getting better. No surgery needed. Moonshadow is more expensive than the chain places but I rather spend a half hour here than an hour at the other places. read more

I suppose the name of this place doesn't conjure up thoughts of romance, but I went here for a couple's massage and had a great experience. It was our first time getting a massage and Lyla and Cynthia made us feel welcome and at ease. We were so relaxed that the hour just flew by!
