Ilana offers facials that are highly customized and highly affordable, mine included a cleanse, light peel, microdermabrasion, oxygen therapy, and mask for 1/5th the price of other spas. Incredible. After a crappy break up about a year ago, I decided to get some self-care and found Ilana's Skin Care. I had intended to go as a one-time deal, just to treat myself, but a year later I've been going monthly and look forward to my sessions with Ilana every month. First, her services give real results. I am in my early 40's and have decent skin, but had some sun damage and discoloration along with the fine lines that come with 40+ years on this earth. That has vastly improved under Ilana's care and with the products she recommended. I use the skin brightener nearly every day and dabble with the other products for hydration and more intensive line reduction. The discoloration faded to the point where I no longer need cover up to even my skin tone and the deepest worry lines between my brows have softened considerably. The hour long facial with the oxygen jet and various products to treat whatever issues my skin is having at the time is a wonderful experience. Through a combination of consistent DermaSweep, Salicylic peels, oxygen treatment, and at-home care, MY ACNE IS FINALLY UNDER CONTROL AND SKIN IS SMOOTH. My story: I've struggled with acne since I was a teenager (15+ years). I've been through everything you can think of - drugstore to department store to prescription products to various antibiotic medications. When I came home from college, I broke out in cysts all over my face. Accutane was the only prescription that put my breakouts under control. But such potent medication gave me extreme side effects - no alcohol consumption due to strain on liver, skin sensitivity with sun exposure and other irritants such as waxing and minor scrapes and burns, and skin dryness from head to toe. Accutane is a once in a lifetime medication and cleared my skin completely but the treatment of Accutane cannot exceed six months, About three to four months after the treatment, acne started to appear again; I was desperate for help. My dermatologist said there was no treatment stronger than Accutane and the only option left is topical products. Still was not satisfied with results, I turned to aesthetics. When I received an introductory price offer for a DermaSweep facial through HomeRun, I thought it would be a good opportunity to try it. I am 56, have pale skin and wanted my skin to have a more healthy appearance. Ilana's facial was more involved than I expected, she explained each step in the process, and I was very happy with the entire experience. Afterwards, I did see some improvement in my face, plus it felt so much smoother and softer. What really thrilled me though was my décolletage area. I have what I thought was permanent redness (sun damage) from several years of neglecting to protect it with sunscreens. The redness was dramatically reduced after the procedure and now, 3 full days later, the redness has not returned.
