What kind of glue do they use? Am terrified to ask. I could smell it strongly too. There is Clearly zero medical training in eye anatomy & safety. Also noticed there was No air purifier to suck out formaldehyde or VOC fumes. l had to have a discussion for 15 minutes to flush my eyes but that never happened. Was told "not to worry. " Ladies these are your eyes-your vision. If your tear ducts block with glue you are going to damage your eyes . I was also told "we have insurance" - The issue was glue got into my eye and it burned!

I do not recommend getting a Gel-X mani here. First, the recommendation I was given didn't make sense. My natural nails had grown out pretty long, so I asked for hard gel. Multiple staff members recommended Gel-X extensions instead for the design I wanted. My natural nails were only slightly shorter than my reference image, but I wanted to trust their expertise. I was wrong. I chose the shorter extension length and it ended up being the same length of my natural nail before the tech cut them, so the extensions added nothing and I unnecessarily had my nails cut. Second, the application quality doesn't match the price. There are ill-fitting corners throughout. Rather than sizing up to an extension that fit my nail bed, the tech filed down my side walls to force the smaller one to fit, which hurt. One extension on my index finger is visibly crooked. I pointed it out and was told it looked straight - looking at it again and in photos, it's clearly off-center. There's also still cured gel on my skin, which is a contact dermatitis risk. Third, the pricing was not transparent. I paid $115 for a Gel-X removal and Gel-X manicure. The pricing on the website and at check-in is confusing, and when I showed my inspiration photo up front, no one quoted me. The tech told me the price, $155, only after she had already started the design. I got it down to $115 by dropping the star flakes, which were $40 on their own. I want to pay techs fairly for their work, but $40 for star flakes isn't worth it. To be fair, there were genuine positives. I called to let them know I was running 10 minutes late and the staff were completely understanding about it. And when I asked for a swirl cat eye design, my tech told me upfront that it was above her skill level rather than overpromising. She still gave it a shot, and I really appreciated that honesty. Overall, I can't recommend this place. The quality of work and service don't match the price, and what frustrates me more is that the staff didn't listen to my questions and were quick to shut me down instead of working with me. Given the reviews here, I'll assume this isn't the standard, and that it's fixable.

My appointment for for a full volume set went from 5pm to 6:52pm! Time really flew by. The aesthetic of the lash studio is super cute! I love all the pink and it feels super clean. For payment, they accept payment in cash with 5% off; Venmo, or Zelle (QR codes at the front). The total amount they provide at the end of service is before tip, and there's signage that indicates 15% tip or higher is greatly appreciated. I tipped higher than 15% though because the service is really THAT good. My total before tip for a full set volume + wispy was $229. Can't wait to be back for my fill!

Making an appt is easy and no CC needed to secure. The lash tech Rachel is a sweetheart. I asked her what type of fans she uses and she actually makes her own. I thought that was kinda cool. Bespoke lashes! I don't have a lot of lashes and they are thin, so my appt took the standard 1.5 hours. Less actually. I sometimes have reactions to the glue used at other spots. That didn't happen here. My eyes were sting free. I'm used to leaving an appt looking like I have lash blindness as a lot of them fall out in the first few days or so. Once past that point, they normally look good. I didn't need to deal with that here. Hardly any fallout. And they still look pretty good today, like a month later. With all the discounts mentioned above, I think the price of my appt was $159 something, so just under $160. That's actually comparable to the prices I pay in SJ. I just gave her $200 to include tip and called it a day. I thought lash fallout was just a part of getting extensions. Glad I discovered Change. Showed me how quality lashes can be. I'm super happy with her service and love saving time in the morning by not having to put in any eye makeup! Her workspace is cozy, but always clean & organized. She's super friendly and personable. Sets enough time in between each client to sanitize (super important!). Takes her time, but still efficient to get you out on time as indicated. She is flexible with scheduling and always tried to go out of her way to accommodate me. She listens to what I wanted, but still make suggestions to what would look best on me. Most importantly, Diana was able to apply the full set of volume lashes without causing any irritation or redness to my eyes.
