Came here for the pool therapy, there are at 4-6 people in the pool when I come, I think 4 would be a better number , 6 is pretty crowded. The PTAs were okay some better than others . I must say though , 3 stars for the front desk needs to be more proactive , it's not a good sight to come and they're doing personal stuff being on their phones and chit chatting instead of paying more attention to people coming and going. I've come to Vibrant care for 2 physical issues and have seen improvement. Once you are in their system, it works out pretty well to get appointments and the staff are very nice, and I've referred others. But their major weak spot is getting your foot in the door since the phone is often not answered and sometimes my voicemails are not returned. It's frustrating right at this time since I was reevaluated and then no one scheduled me, nor returned my phone calls, so now a month has passed and I must be reevaluated again a month from now due to no openings. It's difficult when one is in pain. I would give 4 stars but this last incident is pretty awful where I'd like to give 2, but I hear they are having some turnover so I know it's probably challenging for them also. My son is a DPT and used to manage facilities like this, so I know it can be difficult, but they still need to strive toward excellence. read more

Saw a great therapist. Second visit she was OUT. Put me with another. That woman put me on a rotating arm machine with no directions or time to stop. She walked off where she stood and talked to another employee. Surgery on my shoulder was painful. I tried to keep going but killing me. I stopped. When that stupid woman came back to me she said " why did you stop,?" I to lk d her I had been doing it long after the pain was killing me, that was 1/2 he ago. " Her responce was Oh . " we are short handed. Vacations etc ." Well she gabbed away with someone with in 50 Ft of me for that entire time. Never checked in gave & me no directions, no time limit, no timer, nothing. It is utterly IMPOSSIBLE to get a callback from this business to get an appointment. I have now been calling for the last two weeks at various times of the day to make an appointment as a new patient but no live person ever picks up the phone and you are left to leave a message. Finally someone called me back a day later (answering service) and transferred me to this location to make an appointment. I got excited because I thought I was going to reach the front desk and a person would book me an appointment. Well, I was wrong. It was another auto message telling me to leave a voicemail in which I did. It has now been two days since leaving a message and haven't received a callback. This is just terrible business practice especially when people are in PAIN and looking for help/relief. Read the other one star reviews, same problem. This place has been nothing but horrible with scheduling!! 1) First of all it took forever to get in for the first appointment!! :((. 2) When I called to make the first appt, they didn't even answer "VibrantCare Rehab". I had NO idea who I was calling!! I had to ask if I was calling VibrantCare!! 3) Then they completely messed up with my appointment time for one of my appts. I went in at 2:12 for my 2:30 appt that they had written down on my appointment sheet, and they said I was late for my 2:00 appt and they wouldn't see me!! Even though they had messed up!! 4) And just now, I went for my 2:30 appt, that was written down on my appt sheet and they said I didn't have an appt, that it had been cancelled on 4/1!!! I DID NOT CANCEL IT AND NO ONE TOLD ME IT WAS CANCELLED!! The PT care I got was OK, but unfortunately, the way the scheduling is handled, WAY outweighs the PT care!! I have made 2 wasted trips and there has never been any apology!! So I definitely DO NOT recommend VibrantCare Rehabilitation!! read more

I'm a returning customer there. I always receive a great care there. Yes, you are not monitored 100% of the time, but that's the point: learn your exercises, so you can do them yourself at home and recover quicker. The staff always listen to the issues I had and they always were able to provide me with care that led to my recovery. I don't think I ever had problems getting an appointment. Once I forgot my wallet and they let me pay next time. If I ever have another issue, I'm confident that I will be treated with best care provided. Only one time my schedule was changed by 30 min, which was fine for me on that day, but it would be nice if someone checked with me first. read more

I have been going to Vibrantcare in Castro Valley for about about 1 year. In short this facility is fantastic! I came from a different physical therapy service roughly 1 mile away down the street in the same city. Having issues with the staff I left that facility and found Vibrantcare. Some points about Vibrantcare Castro Valley: 1) Easy to get to. I live in San Leandro. Vibrantcare is right off the freeway without driving through the high traffic in Castro Valley. 2) Good off-street parking. While the parking lot can get full depending on what time of day it is, as there are multiple businesses around, there's always a spot to find. 3) The Front Desk Staff. The employees running the front desk are amongst the friendliest I have experienced. They are never too tired to help. My appointments range from early morning to afternoon. Their demeanor is just as fresh and bright in the afternoon after a long day as they are in the morning. They always have a smile on their face. Not to sound biased but my favorite is Justin. He's like a favorite buddy that I look forward to talking to when I get there for my appointments. He helps me with my exercises and keeps a friendly conversation going on about sneakers, which is my favorite subject. Talking with him about such things helps to keep me positive and not focus on the pain of my injuries. It really makes a difference. Grace also works at the front desk. She's got the friendliest smile and super helpful and very attentive no matter how busy they get. New front desk staff member Queira recently joined and she's also another friendly face greeting me when I walk in, making me feel welcomed. 4) The Therapists. I have nothing to but praise to offer. They are helping me get better and they are doing an amazing job getting me back to my daily activities and back to work at my job. Dealing with patients of different personalities and different health issues can be a challenge and I get the same great treatment no matter which therapist is taking care of me. Honorable mentions. Shefali. She always asks me how am I feeling upon seeing me. She never pushes me into a pain zone with challenging exercises, but rather she eases me into a threshold to see if I can handle it. She's been rehabbing my broken left foot and it's getting better with each visit. Grace (OT). She is my Occupational Therapist working with my 2 broken elbows. Sadly I had a bad accident and have multiple injuries so I have PT and OT each week. I have never had such an enjoyable time getting rehabilitation on an injury as I have with Grace. She fully explains my exercises, shows me how they should be done by her performing the example and provides me lots of tips to do at home. Grace is always fun to talk with and like Justin she creates a nice conversation about different subjects so I am not just focusing on the pain of my injuries. Facility Cleanliness: It's always clean. The staff is constantly cleaning the pads that the patients lie on and they keep fresh puffed pillows on each pad. The bathroom looks like it's never been used. Imperfections: Of course there is one imperfection and I'm not sure if the blame can go to the staff but rather the company in general. Calling the facility can be challenging. Often the phone isn't picked up initially, but rather a message comes on offering patients to leave a voicemail. The positive thing is the staff will call back. The reason I will not place blame on the staff for this is because I have seen them in action and they are constantly on the phone helping patients and scheduling appointments. Perhaps Vibrantcare (the company) can install a more efficient phone system for when patients call, especially if they have a simple or quick question. I would even say if there was a way for patients to schedule their own appointments online that may reduce the amount of calls coming in and the staff would be available to answer right away. So because of this I will not deduct a star from my review because I think this is more of a company issue rather than dedicated to this facility. Staff Availability: That can be a tricky one. Sometimes this facility is short-handed on both the front desk staff and the Therapists. Here's what's positive about it. I have never once felt neglected or forgotten on busy days with short staff. Yesterday on 06/28/2023 the facility was short staffed. My therapist put me on the bike to start my workout. When the timer buzzer rang Shefali came right to me instantly to take me to the next workout. She was working with multiple patients. There were a great deal of patients there and Justin came from behind the front desk and assisted and prepared patients for the Therapists. All the while he never acted stressed. Conclusion: I would highly recommend Vibrantcare in Castro Valley. I can't speak for the other Vibrantcare facilities in each city but the Castro Valley location has earned a good reputation. read more

Vibrant Care is neither vibrant, nor particularly related to care. Poorly staffed and poorly managed. They didn't read my file to see what my particular problem was before they put me through their usual paces. I have a torn meniscus on both knees in addition to the reason that I was assigned there in the first place (overuse of the hamstring complex). I work out 3-5 times per week with weights anyway so the crappy exercises that they ran me through were like swatting an alligator with a feather. Then they tried to give me knee exercises (one legged squats) that I am unable to do as a result of my knee injuries. Also, no places to stow your belongings so I had to carry my jacket and phone to each "station." The only good thing about this place is that there is parking. Avoid at all costs. read more

Horrible customer service. I have been given the wrong information by multiple locations which delayed my care for months. I needed a place with early appointments and was told they don't do early appointments anymore, only to find out months later they still do but not for consults. My referral from my doctor stated sessions twice a week which due to my schedule I can only come once a week. Saw physical therapist and she suggests I come every other week which I was only okay with since my referral is almost up and I had a couple trips planned. Today a girl calls not to confirm but to reschedule my appt due to a "scheduling" error and offered me a time I can't guarantee I can make so I didn't take it. I asked to be put on the next week since they cancelled she says "oh your insurance doesn't cover that" which I know is a lie because I have the same plan I had when I was going to their other location years ago and I have great coverage and know what they cover. She puts me on hold to "confirm" so she basically just made something up. Then tells me she can't cause the physical therapist recommended me to come every other week. I told her but my referral is actually for twice a week I just can't come so a physical therapist overrides my doctor's orders? This ding bat then tells me well "a physical therapist has a doctorate so they are a doctor" and I had to correct her and inform her a physical therapist even with a doctorate is NOT the same a medical doctor. She goes on to tell me they have to go ny what the physical therapist says. So I asked about cross scheduling at another location and she said plan of care would still be up to the physical therapist's plan at that location to determine how often I can be seen. So their error, delaying my care, and don't care what order for treatment my actual doctor prescribed. Needless to say I'm gonna have to find another facility once again cause some of their staff clearly don't have a clue and don't care. And trying to get through the phone lines good luck I've left messages and never got calls back more than once. The therapists have always been great it's the rest of the staff. read more

I can't say enough about this Hayward branch. Staff is helpful and friendly. Pierre did my fi evaluation. He was so easy to talk to and caring. He let me video him demonstrating my home PT which was so helpful. my arm was a rare break so I knew it was going to be tough especially at my age of 74. PJ has been my routine therapist, she has been awesome her massages have been so good it's helped me reach a better range of motion. Today I saw Pierre he has given me additional home exercises to get back my full range in motion I still can't make a fist but I know I will get there. Update: I have spoken with Sherry Schroyer, the VP of Business Development about the following review. She was able to get me appointments and I did go in on an appointment today with PT Rebecca, who was outstanding. I can see the staff are really trying their best with under staffing problems on top systems issues. Sherry has assured me the systems issues have been addressed. I hope that is the case and that patients (particularly post op) can be seen in a timely manner not have their referrals sent into the void and patients can reach the office easily via phone. I have amended my review from 1 star to four. Original review from 5/8/24: Horribly understaffed and unethical. In the process of reporting to the state. They book patients for initial consultations then don't have any appointments for 3 weeks. For total knee replacement patients and other post op surgeries, this can have serious consequences for patients. I spent over a month trying to get an initial appointment. Their front desk is disorganized and understaffed. NO ONE answers the phone or returns calls. They lose paperwork, then call you the day before your appointment (after waiting weeks) that you are canceled because they didn't receive an authorization. Bad experience. Called for initial visit and no one ever called back. Called again 10 times finally Jeanette told me we have to wait 2 months for 1st visits. She told us to call San Leandro office for appointment. After we did we realized it's too far and decided to come to CV office to schedule an appointment since no one answered the phone. We waited 2.5 months and finally 1st visit. When left she said we couldn't schedule more than 1 session although my wife was approved for 12 session. Second appointment was a month later. I put work aside to help my wife translation for evaluation. After we went inside the office she told us no evaluator available that day and we need to reschedule. Today I put things aside to come with my wife . We arrive 10 min early and as soon as we walked to the front desk Joyce told us Jeanette and her were about to call us this morning to reschedule. But We didn't receive the call. We are very upset by these last minute changes after we arrived. I expressed my feeling and finally they arranged the next available PT to do evaluation for us. This whole ordeal has made me think twice about referring or come back after my wife complete her treatment and we will not come back anymore until the service is improved by the management team. This review is for aquatic therapy. The management here always has an excuse as to why the pool area is consistently dirty which makes the pool equipment dirty and therefore all of it going into the pool. They state that their contract to clean the pool area only happens one time a month. The showers are quite gross and they state it's not their fault it's the cleaning company. They used to have The pool at 94° it is now 92. They state it's because they cannot have the pool that high for the MS patients I call BS. They would keep the room between 68 and 70° even during the winter and when you would bring this to their attention they would state it's just the way the heating system is. Unfortunately I had no choice but to continue to come to this place. If you have another option I highly suggest you go to it. The turnover of their physical therapist is amazing. The only reason I gave this place two stars is because of the staff Brian. He works the front desk. read more

I agree with the reviewer who said Vibrant care is not vibrant. This is my second and last attempt at trying to use this company. Two years ago the same thing happened to me. Their schedulers are a hot mess! For some reason when you make an appt and take a day off work the appt miraculously disappears and you get pushed a month back. Our lack of mobility is no joke. So getting to an appt only to find out it doesnt exist is a problem. I scheduled an appt and two weeks later someone calls to schedule an appt and says the first person should not have scheduled me without the paperwork. Please get it together people!! read more

Every session I had was done very professional and I felt greatly benefited from these sessions. The Castro Valley location is in a good area and provides plenty of parking with great access to the entrance. I love that they have pool therapy. The cons are to me that they don't answer the phone, there is a lot of rotation of the front desk and you don't see the same PT at every visit which I'm not use to and I feel can cause a slower recovery for the reason you're going to PT! read more

Earlier this year I broke my wrist snowboarding and received occupational therapy (OT) from Grace. I can confidently say that Grace is an expert and has the knowledge, compassion, and dedication required for this job. She takes time to listen to my concerns and learns about my individual needs. Grace was able to tailor each session to continuously improve my strength and assigned exercises to accelerate my improvement. Therapist are working in another assignments. They do not care if the paents is doing the exercise right or if they did the repeons needed. A therapist may oversee several paents at the same me. There is no compassion or concern for the paent's wellbeing. I try to report this situaon to the manager and I also wrote the complaint to the company. Nobody cares to response. It seems that this is the way that they have been operang for a long me. They repeat most of the exercises that you did in other sessions instead teaching new ones. Vibrant Care charges between $232-$374 for each appointment plus the copay of the paent. No insurance should be covering these therapist sessions. No paent should be going there either. I have been in other places and a compassionate therapist carefully work with you. You be)er searching for a soluon to your pain in the internet. read more

When I first started aqua therapy, there was a lot of therapists there and lately it seems like there's been a revolving door. They have been understaffed needing lots of help or what I can say is that if you do need aqua therapy, this is the best place to be they are kind and friendly and very knowledgeable about everything they need to know to help you rehabilitate in my opinion Shefali The aquatic therapist is the one that I would definitely recommend if I could give her a raise I would, but this is the best thing that I can do is by giving her and her team high praise and I definitely know that they need more permanent therapist, so if you're looking for a place to rehabilitate come to Vibrantcare. Avoid! I am post ACL repair with graft. and presribed physical therapy for a year post surgery. I came here because the other VibrantCare in San Ramon did not have a therapist as they were all temporary. I came here telling them that I needed more consistency as I was already on my third therapist in San Ramon. The therapist here straight out told me not to expect consistency here either. I asked if they were permanent therapist and she said yes but that I would not be getting the same therapist each time. I said that's OK and what I meant was that the therapist would disappear because they're temporary and I had to wait for another one to come and who knew nothing of my history or therapy sessions. I didn't mind being with one or two therapist as long as they knew my history and there was overlap, in that they could speak with each other. She then told me that this was not the place if I wanted to have consistency in therapy. I was pretty surprised that she said that. She then evaluated me and told me that she only needed to see me for three more sessions. I explaied to her that this was supposed to be ongoing for a year postoperative, but she didn't seem to listen to me nor really have experience and knowledge to take care of my knee. I'm thinking that ACL repair should be something standard that physical therapist know how to work with. On my 4th session there which is the final session, they told me she had a family emergency, and was rescheduling me with another therapist. I left work, and drove 30 minutes to the location. When I got there, they said that the other therapist could not see me because this was a final summary, which can only be done by the initial therapist. I stated that they should have knew that when they rescheduled me and why did they wait until I arrived instead of calling me to let me know I can't be seen and let me waste my time and money, taking off work to drive over and not be seen. Of course they had no answer to that and did not apologize either. Needless to say, I did not reschedule and went elsewhere. I will say that the new place that I found is excellent. The therapist are professional and knowledgeable And I've been mainly with one therapist throughout it all, and occasionally saw a second therapist but both were good. The reason I'm saying this is that to keep looking and you will find a better place. read more

My elderly mother called three different times to try to schedule a new patient appointment, but it only instructed her to leave a call back number. This is a review specifically for the business side of this facility. I appreciate the therapy received at the Castro Valley location. However, I had to pay a co-pay and I unfortunately paid twice. I have confirmed and verified with accounts receivable that the bank paid them twice. However, after numerous phone calls with their departments, I have still yet to receive a refund. This has been going on since June of this year. Now they are ignoring my phone calls. I suppose my next step is just to alert the insurance commissioner to find out why there is such disorganization within that establishment. read more

They have aqua physical therapy for this who need more than regular physical therapy. The doctor and staff are very knowledgeable and great to work with. They really care and help you do the exercises you need to do inorder to heal. Clean facility and plenty of parking. I would refer them to all. I have been going to VibrantCare in Castro Valley for physical therapy the last 2 months to address my leg and shoulder pain. The care I have been receiving from this facility has been excellent - great staff and great team of physical therapists. The PT that has been working with me the most is Payal Shah and just wanted to give her a shout-out for the attention and care she has been giving me. I have been having intense pain in my shoulder and experiencing limited range of motion. Payal has been paying particular attention to this area and has been working on my shoulder the last 2 sessions and I have seen tremendous improvement in my range of motion.
