This was our second time dining at 9Nine and everything was fantastic. There were six of us and everyone enjoyed their food and the service was great. We all enjoyed our steaks (we had the porterhouse, filet, and hanger steak) and the rest of our meals. The oxtail croquettes were amazing. The provolone with cherry tomato was perfectly gooey and cheesy. Tiramasu was the perfect way to end. Service was friendly, and very willing to answer questions we had. We ordered the 3 course for 36 euro + 12 euro supplement to get the 45 day dry aged beef. Staff poured champagne first before the appetizers. Then each of us has 1 glass of wine + refills. Appetizer -Steam clams, excellent. -Baked eggs with potato, superb -Croquettes.. alright, i think you can skip and try something else. Main course -45 day dry aged beef on hot stone.. you can heat or re-grill the beef to your preferred done-ness. Absolutely amazing! Every dish was fabulous. There is a tasting menu with lots of options with a preset price that I thought was an amazing value. Unlike many other tasting menus the dishes were full size appetizers, entrees and desserts. We have the potato and egg dish which I will remember for years to come! We also had the clams, and charcuterie tapas. The sea bass, costillas, and pressed meat was absolutely amazing. Must try the wine and the cava sangria. We selected the tasting menu that came with the cava sangria and then purchased additional wine on top. Picking a prix fixe (36 euro) was simple. Note, there is a supplement for special items like the 45-day dry aged beef. The tapas were amazing as were the main courses. We opted for the fixed price menu for two because the options of each serving were plentiful and broad ranging. The Mrs. finally took a chance on and loved the foie gras starter. As she should have because it included potatoes and over easy eggs. The mushroom croquettes were equally good. Black Sea bass and red tuna for second course and fruit tartaleta and Catalonian cream for dessert. In case you're wondering, the two-glasses of red wine per person included in the deal were on par with the whole experience. My husband and I went here for dinner and it was a wonderful experience. The ambience was very nice. We didn't have a reservation but we were able to be seated right away. I think we got lucky so I would suggest to do a reservation just to be sure you get a seat because it was a full house. We ordered a pitcher of Sangria which was delicious. We had a salad, vegetable gyoza and mushroom croquettes as appetizers and then we shared the grilled octopus with a side of mashed potatoes. I would suggest ordering everything at once because it's somewhat difficult to get your order in after the waitresses have left. The salad had fresh mozzarella and pinenuts but there was insufficient dressing which made it dry I would not order it again. The croquettes were very good however they were a little bit cold in the middle which was unfortunate. The salad and the croquettes were a little disappointing for the price which is why I am giving this four-stars. The gyoza was good but the best part of the meal was the grilled octopus with fresh hummus and a sun-dried tomato sauce. The mashed potatoes were very fluffy and good. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone that loves fresh and authentic Mediterranean food. read more
