The short version: GoDry is a good company. they communicate well, their work is solid. I 100…read morepercent trust their main workers, and the main owner, Jim. I can give a solid 4 stars, the work is solid and i still have no flooding, but with the frustrations I dealt with out of one of the owners (not Jim), I cannot in good conscience give 5 stars. The downsides: Dealing with one of the owners, the main person that comes out to do the job. The first day on the job, I was lied to and told that a tree branch fell down and bent my gutter, right where the machine was working. I have no trees near the area large enough to cause that kind of damage. I was told it would be fixed, so i didn't argue. After the final check was signed I had to fight a few weeks to get the gutter fixed, but it was indeed fixed. Other issues - I'm told that i can schedule time with one of the workers who does his own side jobs. I come to an agreement with this worker. I wait for 6 months, then start asking for availability in February. This came to a head in late April after getting tugged around for 2 months. I was told by the owner that in order to get some time with the worker, they would have to shut down their business for a day to come out and do work, possibly shutting their business down permanently. I did not appreciate being guilted in this way, but after this conversation they did send allow their foreman to come out and fix a couple things i was owed. A (probably) positive story to share: I was told by the foreman that this was a complete accident, and i do trust him. My water pipe was in the area where they were digging. somehow this came loose and flooded my basement. The pipe was dry fitted many years ago and they believe the weight of the dirt lifting off did cause it to pop off. This seemed believable to me, and they did stay very late on a Friday to try and get me working again. Does running a new water line cost 1550 dollars for 30 feet of pex and digging a 30ft trench, where the wall is already accessible and your equipment is on site already? Doubtful. But I didn't have much of a choice. Backstory: I called GoDry back in March of 2021 to assess my situation. When my wife and I moved into our house about 5 years ago, it was not disclosed that our property's basement floods during sustained heavy rains, and due to the water table we experience hydrostatic pressure. For the past few years, we'd know that if we got over 1 1/2 inches of rain in a short time, OR if its rainy season and we get a lot of rain, we were going to get water in our finished basement. GoDry came out and assessed my situation. Gregg and Jim are professional and take the time to explain their product, and how they think it can benefit our situation. They started work in September 2021 due to being so backed up with other contracts/work requests. During this time Jim would call and give me status updates to know when to expect them out at my home. It took about a month of effort but they were able to dig up the areas discussed and laid down their product. Along the way GoDry would show me the issues, and let me go down with them to their work areas and explain to me what was going on with my foundation and what they were doing to correct my issues. Its now May 2022, we've had at least 2 major rains that would have caused a flooding event in my basement, and we are completely dry. I couldn't be happier with the results.

I really thought it'd be easier to review this business, but -- It's a genuine challenge to say…read moreeverything GREAT about Mike and his work, here: Professional. Dependable. Committed. Determined. Relentless. Comprehensive. Resourceful. Thorough. Responsible. These, literally, are just a handful of terms we would use - without any hesitation - to describe the incredible, beautiful work Mike did for us on our family property. He's just flat-out amazing!!! (Ooops. And, courageous!) We needed to demolish an old 2-story studio and a 1,600 SF dilapidated home, where we contacted upwards of a dozen or so area contractors that allegedly specialized in this type of work, but - They failed to return our calls; or, they failed to show up after returning our calls and setting up an appointment; or, they showed up but never formally bid the project; or, they ran from the opportunity after bidding it. That was not, at all, the case with Mike ... He retuned my call. He arrived on time at the job site. He walked the entire (very, VERY important) job site. He discussed the process with me. He bid the job, right then and right there, with me. He, actually, started the job earlier than planned. And, then, he stuck with us through DAILY rain, until the job was completely done. And, when I say "done," I mean "done" beyond our expectations ... Mike even graded-out the ruts from the rain, working his way backwards out toward our gate. There's just not enough room, here, to say everything positive about Mike and his work. Bottom Line: He took a genuine eyesore and - in the end - turned it COMPLETELY around ... Amazing!!!

They not only completed our remodel they built the custom cherry fireplace mantle. We love our living room and it's exactly what we were looking for to update our home. He didn't show up for the initial appt., and rescheduled for the following week- even then he was an hour late. We discussed the repairs and he said he would email an estimate. After hearing nothing for weeks, I reached out to him and he said he would have it by the end of the week. The following week, I reached out again and finally received an estimate. From there on, I would hear NOTHING from him unless I initiated contact. Then the excuses started.. I dealt with this man for three and a half months, with him ghosting me the entire time. At no time did he ever fulfill a promise, or meet a deadline. The last straw was him AGAIN failing to provide information on the repair. That was Feb. 25, and, you guessed it, CRICKETS! I have to wonder what part of "Do It Right" applies to his business.
