I don't care for southern cuisine, unless it's seafood. But I did like both fried and baked chickens, spinach and cabbages; had multiple helping of them. I wished rice was included. The abundance of spaces between the tables helped in reducing the noise level. I sat at one of the smaller tables so that helped a lot. The overall decor evokes a pre-1980s feel, and apparently so is the upkeep of the building. The service was good enough that I would have given it at least four stars. Then I went to the men's restroom. When I finished my business, I turned the doorknob to unlock and it came loose. I though: was the door unlocked the entire time? This was shocking. Anyone could have entered. For that, one star is removed. (Had someone entered while I was *ahem* busy, I would have deducted two stars.) The restroom doorknob issue is enough reason for me to not recommend O'Dessa's Blessings. I hope the owners have done something about that.

I was really excited to try this place after hearing good things, but unfortunately the experience was a bit disappointing. The cashier didn't acknowledge my greeting even after I said hello twice and didn't look up during the interaction. I stayed polite and smiled, but she remained very blunt and unwelcoming, which set a negative tone from the start. The burgers were decent overall, though they were a bit overloaded with mayo and ketchup. The fries weren't great either they came out darker than expected, almost like they'd been re-dropped or cooked in older oil, which affected the taste. The prices were on the higher side, which I don't mind at all, especially if it's a family-owned business. However, when the customer service isn't there, it makes you not want to spend your money. Maybe I just came at the wrong time, but overall the service really took away from what could've been a better experience. read more

Vicki's was recommended by a friend, and so my wife and I decided to give it a try for lunch. This is a no frills establishment serving classic dinner burgers and fries. The Burgers are large and delicious, food was fast. Be aware they are closed on the weekend. They offer military discount for those in uniform.
