I've been coming to this location of Vic's since I was a kid and not much has changed. It's the same in the best sort of nostalgic way. Vic's definitely has a unique smell and flavor to their freshly popped popcorn. It's similar to what you can achieve on the stove, but it has this special quality to it that's hard to describe. I like to go and get a fresh bag of plain white popcorn that has just been popped. Sometimes the bags on the shelves can be a few days old, so I always ask for the fresh. They do have lots of other flavors of popcorn, but I do like the plain white best myself. Although I will say it is pretty salty. Not so salty that it's unpleasant, but they do have a half salt version that's nice. Around the holidays, and I think throughout the rest of the year as well, they have various sizes of decorative tins that you can get filled with popcorn. We went here to refill our popcorn tin for only $4! We had an option of salted or lightly salted popcorn for this price. You could also fill your popcorn tin with any other flavor like cheese or caramel, but that will cost you around $20 I like the tin canisters they sell for a variety of sports teams or holidays. Long time patron and first time reviewer of Vic's! I've been coming to this location for freshly popped popcorn for over 15 years and have never had a single bad interaction or experience. Vic's offers so many fun flavors of popcorn ranging from Cajun and cheddar to Carmel and ranch. I love that they even offer non salted, half salted, and lite salted options of their bagged varieties. They offered freshly popped corn to go as well. I personally love their marshmallow popcorn bars with m&ms. The shop ins small and clean, not to mention that prices are fair and portions are generous. I've been coming here for as long as I can remember! Back in the good ol high school days, I even worked here! Never once have I left disappointed, in my 25+ years of going.... But this visit was a little off. Their bin warmer was either off, or not working, because the popcorn was cold & lacking that savory taste. The recloseable bags I purchased were wonderful, but the large lunch was unfortunately not hitting the mark this time around. Hopefully the warmer was just forgotten about, and our next experience will be back to the 5 star spot we always expect at Vic's! read more

Some months ago I posted a negative review which I am now recanting. I don't know what happened, but the less than stellar cheese popcorn has been replaced by the original cheesy robust product I had been used to and missed for a time. I have placed several mail orders since that review, and every batch I've received has been excellent. The pricing structure has changed and now shipping fees are separate. That's fine. You realize this fine popcorn is actually quite reasonable; it's the shipping that costs so much. read more

Don't get me wrong, the popcorn is very good. But it's popcorn and man is it pricey. Somehow I got a tin (the one down from biggest) and two bags of popcorn (small ones) and it was over $50. Decided to pop (no pun intended) in one afternoon at my husband's recommendation, excellent variety!! I settled on the jalepeno cheddar, ranch and Chicago blend (cheddar and caramel). I questioned if the popcorn would taste fresh since what I selected was prepackaged, but it was all great! The ranch didn't have a ton of flavor so I probably won't get that one again, but the other two were great. The cheddar flavor was rich and buttery and the jalepeno added some spice to everything. 2 small bags and 1 medium were $11. Looking forward to sampling additional flavors in the future! read more

there are two in this neighborhood one at the entrance of Oak View mall and this store next to the Qdoba in the Bag and Save lot. i initially went looking for this one and went the wrong direction and ended up at the Oak View Food court. i grew up with Vics and over the years i was out of state. i never could explain WHY the "other" popcorn places were lacking- off flavor and stale tasting even fresh popped.. then i refound Vics- specifically the caramel corn. its so good. run don't walk to get some and send Vics to everybody out of state you know.. they don't know what they are missing- but i DO! this caramel popcorn is fresh tasting fluffy enrobed in a delicious vanilla caramel sauce.. Hands down the best I have tasted. We needed the best popcorn for the "He popped the question!" theme for an engagement party. I figured the corn husker state had to have the best popcorn and we found Vic's. Great popcorn.
