Scammers -- BEWARE! Be prepared to be recommended for pricey and unnecessary procedures…read more First, this was the dirtiest medical office I have ever stepped foot in. There was a puddle of rust-colored water under the chair I sat in, and several tools were visibly dirty, including ones used in my mouth during the X-ray. I went in for simple tooth sensitivity to cold water. After taking X-rays and blowing air on my tooth (which I stated did not cause any pain or sensitivity), the dentist, Dr Izadi, immediately told me I needed a root canal or I would "wake up with an abscess in excruciating pain." He pointed to squiggly lines on the X-ray claiming it was an infection. He was extremely pushy, insisting I needed the root canal ASAP the following Monday morning, clearly trying to scare me before I could get a second opinion. I asked for my X-rays so I could get a second opinion elsewhere, and that's when things got even more suspicious. When I requested my X-rays later that day, I was told their server was down. When I finally picked them up the following morning, they only gave me X-rays of my molars, even though the tooth in question was a front tooth. When I called back for ALL of my X-rays, I was told they "couldn't find them" and they must have been deleted. They offered me to retake them Monday morning before my root canal (that I had already told them I wanted to cancel). I then went to a different dentist for that second opinion. New X-rays were taken, and I was told there was no infection and absolutely no need for a root canal or crown. It is clear Dr. Izadi was trying to sell me unnecessary dental work and used fear tactics to pressure me into scheduling it urgently. And honestly, even if I had needed a root canal, there is no way I would ever have had it done in such a filthy, unsanitary office. To make things worse, when I originally had asked for pricing, the front desk woman scoffed at me and acted annoyed that I questioned the unusually high copay. I strongly advise avoiding this office. Between the dirty conditions, missing X-rays, pressure tactics, and attempts to push completely unnecessary procedures, this place is a massive red flag. The only positive was the kind dental assistant- everything else was unacceptable.

At first, I thought the patient simply wanted reassurance or support before her procedure. A short time later, I was called back because my son supposedly "wanted to speak to me." However, when I entered the room, my son did not say a word. He was already connected to an IV and oxygen. While he was in that vulnerable position, the staff member told me they needed to add an additional procedure costing $750 that was not covered by insurance, along with another $1,500 to remove an additional tooth. What concerned me even more was that I watched three other families appear to go through a very similar experience. Parents were called into the treatment area after their children were already prepared for surgery and were then presented with expensive additional procedures. In my opinion, this creates an extremely high-pressure and emotionally manipulative situation. Parents should not feel cornered into making major financial decisions while standing in front of their frightened child who is already hooked up to an IV. We were also told that without the additional procedure, my son might not heal properly. I have had four other children, both minors and adults, undergo tooth extractions, and all of them healed without this added procedure. While I was in the office, I also spoke with an older woman who told me she had filed three grievances against this dental group through her insurance company. I cannot speak to anyone else's complete medical circumstances, but I can speak to what I personally witnessed. The way these additional charges were presented felt unacceptable and unethical. Treatment options, costs, insurance coverage, and alternatives should be discussed clearly before the patient is prepared for surgery--not after the IV and oxygen are already in place. Parents should ask for all recommended procedures and costs in writing before the appointment and should not be afraid to request a second opinion.
