This morning, a kid was riding an E-bike on the walking pathway inside Victor Park, almost colliding with me. It was a very dangerous and frustrating experience, and I plan to take a photo of the rider if this happens again. The park clearly has signs prohibiting biking on the pathways. Under Torrance's local ordinances, riding a Class 3 E-bike here is illegal and subject to fines. Even Class 1 or 2 E-bikes (and traditional bicycles) are only permitted on designated bike paths or roadways, making it illegal to ride them on sidewalks or within the park's walking areas. read more

I really like this playground! The only negative side is that it's located right by a very busy street. It has two areas: one for little kids and then one for a bigger kids. The bigger kid play structure is pretty intricate, and has a lot of fun happenings. They have swings for both little kids and bigger kids as well. There's a big grassy area behind it, which is fantastic. The play structures themselves are in decent shape, for the location. The parents here seem pretty conscientious and engaged with their kids, which I really like. I would definitely come again. read more

Such a bad kept park, so much trash and landscape is not kept up with I'm surprised it is still open to public. Bathrooms were so scary to use due to no lighting no stall doors and a lot of homeless wondering the area, people living in their car, trash everywhere. Will never return. Overall I wasn't too impressed by the landscape and layout of this park, at times it looks like it could double as the TV set for AMC's "The Walking Dead" as a post-apocalyptic abandoned area that zombies could roam. It's not one of the South Bay's best baby/toddler/kid's park playground, but maybe convenient for local residents in the neighborhood, but probably not a destination park worth traveling to go to. read more

This park could be cleaner and I wish there was more of a focus on keeping the wildlife healthy and native. Instead it's industrialized mowers. However, this park is made better by its large size and the adjacent library. It's scenic and has old trees and barbeque pits. There are some riff raff types in the park and I can imagine it wouldn't be a perfectly safe place at night. But it's near a major street and basically safe. Come here to get some Zen, have water and food and relax. read more

This park use to have this very unique piece of metal playset which had several slides winding down at different angels and stairs at different positions. The best part of it was the long slide in the front which u don't see these days. The problem was it got super hot during certain times of the year, and it was kind of dangerous for the younger kids, bc it's so tall so if a kid fell off from the mid section of it, it could be bad. So I got nervous whenever my kids went on it. Few years ago, they took the whole thing down and replaced it with a brand new non-metal set, it's definitely safer and nicer looking but not as much fun for some kids. Being in this park reminded me of WHO in Manila where all sorts of native languages can be heard at one point. This park feels like a much scaled down UN here sometimes! :) I'm always interested in other cultures, so that's a plus for me!!!! So far, a Panjabi woman shared her wisdom with me and her trick for making better chicken tikka masala, a guy from Mongolia told me an interesting tidbit of some famous person we both know, and the handmade dumplings shops from this Taiwanese lady. It seems easier for me to strike up a conversion with a stranger here than at other parks, one feels relaxed here with the diverse ethnic atmosphere and ppl seem to have very sanguine dispositions in this park. It's next to a little cozy and convenient library, so when I don't want to be overwhelmed by the big library, I come in here to read for a while, then take a walk after. There is always a parking spot for me. Boy, the phones are just ringing off the hooks today, it's that time of year again. read more

Dog Poop Park. The caliber of Ajushi or maybe asian men that walks here at night with their big dogs and don't pick up after the poop. This park was was cleaner before and now it's being treated like a dump. The kids play area is dirty and is becoming ghetto with gums and graffiti. The grass is unmaintained and has lots of puddle. Victor park is small but perfect for walking my dogs. It is well maintained with playground for kids as well as ton of Picnic benches and BBQ pits and lots of shaded area for hot summer days. It is adjacent to Torrance library and elementary school as well. Street parking or park at the library parking. read more

Seems safe enough now only during the day, but at night, the homeless sleep there, so be very careful. The police and park division are aware of it, but won't do anything about it. This is not the park I grew up going to anymore. read more

Just recently came here for a night in the park movie, my family and I saw Cars for the 100th time. My youngest was wanted to play at the playground but he could not because of the fact that we were there to watch a movie, so I brought him back the next morning. The quipment is so much nicer than other parks located in Torrance, and the walking path is also a nice feature. Great for Kids. read more

I used Google maps to see what was located around my son's allergist's office. Victor Park came up. A quick check on Yelp let me know the park is nice and safe. This park is cute. It has 2 play structures. One for bigger kids and one for toddlers. My toddler liked the bigger kid equipment, but it is definitely made for kids older than 3. The toddler area has a lady bug and bumble bee spring toys. It has a bumpy slide to climb up, 3 slides to slide down, and a little rock climbing wall. I did not spend enough time on the big kid equipment for me to remember what is there. I know the ladders are quite tall, and it has a bell for the kids to ring. The rest of the park has a nice walking path through it with some grown-up exercise stations. There were several people fitness walking and walking their dogs. Some older ladies were practicing a dance routine at what looked like the community center. There was easy street parking, and it looked like there is also a lot. The other parents I encountered seemed very nice. The park felt very safe. The sand was clean. Bottom Line: Worth stopping by if near the area. read more

I've been to many parks In Torrance with my kids from work on field trips and I must say, Victor Park is nice because it's big. The big kid play structure is huge and it's nice that there is a smaller play structure for the younger kids. The grass area is fairly big and there is a good track going around it -perfect for running or walking. The park is directly behind Victor elementary so usually there are lots of kids around. Try not to use the bathrooms...not that clean =/ read more

Just left the park and was very happy with it. My 3 year old had so much fun! The park is kept very clean. There are about 8 regular swings and 2 for infants. There's a small rock climbing wall too. Definitely going back soon! The only disappointing part was the woman's bathroom. 3 stalls, 2 with no door. The toilet paper were small squares of paper and no soap to wash your hands with nor paper towels. read more

Clean, wide open park with lots of space for the kiddies to run wild! Nice and tucked away and feels like a safe location far enough off of the main road so traffic is not a concern. Parking is on the street. I don't know of a lot and haven't seen one but thats because I always walk here since it's so close to home. In never bother taking the car. There are two very large play structures for the kids and two swing sets. The park always seems clean and I haven't had any issues with trash or doggy doo doo lol. This area has a nice group of locals that seem to really respect the area since we all share it. Which is nice because it makes it such a clean park to visit! Neighborhood is nice and quiet and doesn't seem to have too much traffic at all. read more

Beautiful park with lots of play area for the little ones. I take my toddler everyday to this park and he enjoys the swings and slides. The sand area is also clean. On the whole, perfect playtime area for a summer evening for your kids and you And yes, there is a jogging track as well, cemented though! read more

I noticed this park for the first time earlier this week. This is a cool little Torrance Park that I just found. It's surrounded by Eucalyptus and pine trees and has a variety of uses. Are you looking to get a good workout but can't afford to go to the gym? This place features a .18 mile walking/jogging path complete with workout stations-parallel bars, sit ups, pull ups, horizontal ladder etc. There is also a basketball court and a handball court. A great place for the kids too-it has a pretty elabborate swing and slide play area near the front of the park as well. And my favorite-barbecue pits and tables. This park has 6 barbecue pits-not cheesey low budget ones either. There are cement barbecue pits with table right next to faucets and yes, there are rest rooms at this park. The rest rooms by the way, don't appear to have locks on therm-a bounus for those of you who like evening barbecues as many parks will lock up restrooms at night. There were signs advertising no bikes in the park although I don't think they really enforce that all that much. I gotta believe riding up in your bike wouldn't be a problem. Officially the park closes at 10PM. I also saw signs saying "No golfing" Not sure how popular this park is as i went to visiti it midday during the week. Victor Park is a spacious place that serves the needs of the denizens of Torrance. For those who are in need of a vast area to exercise, this is the place. The grass area is large enough for one to enjoy any of their recreational activity - whether it be playing tag, a pick up game of football, or a soccer match. For those who want to walk around, there is a circular path that holds a sort of "gym-like" mini stations that revolve around the loop. A playground at the the top of the hill is also present for parents to let their children enjoy their time. They have one basketball hoop that is unique. The rim, can be comically dubbed as *tripple-rimmed". You'll know what I mean if you go there lol. Besides the basketball court, there are benches and park tables for one to enjoy their barbeque and picnic. The Henderson Library, is also located right next to the playground, which makes this park as diverse and a local favorite. All I can say is that Victor Park is for the people!!! read more

Victor Park is where I had my first kiss with Marcus Jean Francisco. It holds a dear place in my heart and is amazing for picnics, silent walks to ponder the meaning of existence, and to play paddle ball. Very popular park with the kids. Not the usual abandoned, "tumbleweed rolling through the area" like most other parks in Torrance and PV. Lots of kids, newer climbing frames and slides, a running track, BBQ facilities .... a lot of fun in a great neighborhood. read more
