I've been to a few Christian mission thrift stores in So California, and kinda know what to expect - from you never know what you're going to find, to it's exactly what I thought it be. My response is that of the latter. Not a bad thing, just not the "I hit the jackpot" feeling that we aim for in thrifting. But, one thing, the clothes are more reasonably priced than the Goodwill's or Salvation Army's. As for the housewares, furniture etc - bit overpriced is being polite. It's a good cause, just can't afford to pay that much even for charities. Stick to the clothing. Not much shoes at all, except for maybe few brand names locked in glass case up front if your lucky to find your size. The Christian music station (Air1fm) is a nice touch, thank God for that or it'd be boring and desolate as the store itself could use a fresh coat of paint to liven it up a little at least. Worth a peeksy if you're in the area, but only if you are in the area. read more

I love going thrifting and recently moved to the high desert so I thought I would check this place out. Wow everything is super overpriced! $14 for a used shirt. No thanks. And the lady working the register didn't even greet me. Don't go here if you like bargains. I don't know how this place stays in business. Salvation Army down the street is much better and cleaner. This place is dirty. I think they think they are a thrift store in Beverly Hills with their prices. read more

Yes, this is an A-OK thrift store. I was expecting better after reading the reviews. I had to drive out to Hesperia to run an errand and wanted to see at least one of the local shops, so I went here. It was mostly clothing and adult diapers. There was a good amount of kitchen wares and glass. They were short on records and books but my kids would have been happy to see the large aisle of toys, but upon further inspection, they seemed to be mostly for toddlers. Puzzles and games were not secured or taped shut, so I can't imagine how all the pieces stay inside the boxes (shame). I found most items to be overpriced. The layout of the store was lackluster, unexciting and kind of depressing as far as thrift stores go. It didn't have that vibe of maybe-I'll-find-a-surprise-treasure, you know? Thrift stores like this one serve a greater purpose, though, and I fully realize not all of them will be fun, pleasant or inspiring. However, the people shopping seemed happy and were singing along to the Christian music station playing in the store. Too expensive. Someone in back with the price gun is getting greedy. I saw $40-$50 price tags for certain shoes today. I've even seen them print out eBay sales and put them on items here to try to justify the high price. They need to price things like a thrift store should. As of now I'd rather go to Salvation Army or Goodwill. read more

This is my mom's favorite thrift store (I was raised to appreciate great thrift stores). The first time I came here, I wasn't too impressed. No restrooms, no fitting rooms, and parts of the store were in disarray. The cashier told me that they used to have fitting rooms, but closed them when "people were doing inappropriate things in them." WTF! I didn't ask. I WAS impressed by the badass, 1970s electric coffee pot that my mom bought for me, with orange, yellow and green flowers, and in great shape! But I came back, and the store has been completely remodeled. They moved into the space next door, with much more space, restrooms, fitting rooms, and a clean, spacious, well-labeled layout. You could find so many great things here at great prices and I always leave with something. All kinds of hi-fi equipment, vintage dishes and decanters, furniture, toys, handbags, and so much more. I wish they had more books and vinyl, but no thrift store is perfect. This store has the nicest, kindest staff I've ever seen at a thrift store too. They remember regulars. They also donate 100% of their proceeds for food, clothing, and shelter for the homeless and poor. Yes, it's run by a Christian organization and they make that clear, but you can tell that everyone who works there is warm and kind-hearted toward anyone, regardless of religion. My fave in the desert so far! read more

Although there is a big quantity of different items, this thrift store is EXPENSIVE. Items are way overpriced, almost at retail value and most aren't even in good condition. Some shoes that are beat up are priced between $19.99-$39.99 just because they are Nikes, Adidas, etc. Same goes for clothing, certain brands are marked up quite a bit just because of the brand. Probably the most expensive thrift store in the High Desert I've been to. read more

Large store with a pretty wide selection of stuff, not just clothes and shoes and dishes, but from CB radios to turntables to a snare drum(!?) The pricing is done on a whim it seems, with prices all over the place, so some things are grossly overpriced while other things are an absolute steal - it just requires your savvy eye ;) Shopping here was fun. There *are* deals to be found. The staff all seems quite friendly and helpful. One star taken away only because they lay the Jesus on really thick here, to the point where the average secular person may feel unwelcome: they blast either Christian rock or a radio telethon loudly over the PA and there's a colossal neon sign saying "Jesus Is Lord" dominating the room. I know, it's a religious mission, but it personally gives me the heebie-jeebies. I've been a thrift store shopper my whole life and never seen a store quite so overt in the religious paraphernalia. Still, I go back fairly often, and you should too. read more

One of the most expensive thrift stores I've ever been in. Minimum of $15 for a pair of shoes, while most are around $20+. Lots of $9.99 to $19.99 DVD's, $50 jackets, etc. I get their profits go tot he rescue mission, but man everything there is so expensive. read more

This is another great thrift store in the High Desert with friendly staff, great prices and well stocked shelves. Prices can be a tad high on some items(furniture, small appliances and some clothing items) but all other stuff is pretty reasonable. read more

I love this store. Quality used clothing. Quality items, Great prices. Super nice people... and all for a good cause. Only caution is you have to be careful with electronics. Bought a printer that turned on but didn't print and it's an all sales final policy. But otherwise, this place is awesome. read more

My absolute favorite thrift store! Great prices, vast selection, friendly staff. They have good deals on Tuesday and Wednesday. Every once in awhile, the whole store will be 50% off. Takes the staff awhile to respond for dressing rooms (it's kept locked) but otherwise great! read more

Large of selection of relatively reasonable priced items. Most thrift stores recently are charging nearly, or in some cases more than, retail. Friendly people. Military and senior discounts. Pretty clean It is concerning that they appear to throw out a lot of stuff in the back. read more

I appreciate the cause this store supports. I also appreciate the low prices. I've purchased children's shorts for as little as $0.33 a pair. Videos and DVDs are priced very reasonably. It is a large store with shopping carts for convenience. The staff are friendly. It is a fun family time to go see what treasures you'll find. read more

As far as Thrift Stores in the HD go this one is ok. Little preachy around there, but I've actually FOUND stuff more often than the Goodwill. Prices for books were alright. read more
