Nordstrom has already done away with their plus size section in store and Macy's was one of the few places left to shop in person. They're owned by Urban Outfitters which also owns Free People so the adjacencies between the aesthetics, products and target consumers make sense. They're geared toward the mid 20s to mid-40s age range, and prices tend to be on the mid to higher side for this type of product. Not to level of high-end designer but generally more than your mid-range mall retailers. In the countless number of times I've visited, staff here usually are cordial. There's a main level which has the main entrance from street-side, new seasonal collections, accessories and the checkout/register area towards the back of the store. As though she could read my mind, Marie whisked a medium sized dress (size selected by me) over my turtleneck and trousers. It was gorgeous, but the fit didn't meet my high expectations. Marie instantly recognized that I should be in a size small, and in a matter of seconds had me in the smaller size. Cinderella's reaction to her Fairy Godmother's fashion magic couldn't have been more joyous than mine when I saw myself in the full length mirror. As a woman in the 7th decade of life, I can state with hard-earned authority, this was easily the most transformative experience I've ever had in my long career as a fashionista. Fast forward, I wore the dress to an event of Friday. I've had custom made dresses that didn't fit every inch of my body like this one, or flatter my figure as perfectly. Equally amazing is that the dress is so comfortable, I didn't want to take it off when I got home.
