My husband and I took a tour and had a wine tasting. We loved it! Curtis was very friendly and very informative. You do have to call and make an appointment for the tour, but it is very worth it. #1 must do in South Carolina. Thank you guys for the hospitality.

Went here over the weekend after a recommendation from Table Rock Tea Company, and we were not disappointed! We traveled off the beaten path to visit Victoria Valley Vineyards. If it's your first time visiting, I'd highly recommend doing the tasting so you can try a few of their wines. I tried their Viognier, white Merlot, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Table Rock Red. My traveling party had seconds of the Table Rock Red. Admittedly, I'm a California snob so the varietals weren't for me and my palette. We also had lunch at the winery. I had the chicken salad sandwich which was the daily special. The winery is beautiful and worth a visit.

Beautiful place but absolutely HORRIFIC service. We didn't know we had to sit at the dine-in area to order since it was a separate room. The owner asked if wanted to order we said yes. She said well you need to sit in the dine-in area (with a duh look). We had no idea since it was our first time visiting. Once seated that was it. We patiently waited for almost an hr. We saw a big party come in and the owner smiled and attended them right away. It was clear that she knew them. Do not know why the owner is waitressing. She should hire more servers that do a better job since clearly she hates doing it. While we were there two other ladies left as well since they were not attended either. Will never go back.

Average wine, good food, terrible service...but the gorgeous view, fabulous weather, and outdoor seating made up for the service. My husband and I visited with friends a few weeks ago. We arrived to a sign on the door about the water pumps being affecting the bathrooms. We stayed after finding out that the staff was filling the tank on the toilet with water for each flush. Not sure how that passed health department regulations! There were a lot of people there and there doesn't appear to be any organization so it took a while for us to get seated. We decided to do the tasting and order food. After being seated it took another while for someone to bring us the menu/ tasting options. They expect you to read the paper menu to figure out how the process works. It did not appear that the servers were assigned tables since 2 different people brought a cheese board but we only ordered one. We had to ask them to explain what items were on the board. The tasting includes 5 different wines which they brought out on porcelain platters in plastic cups - I assume they weren't using glasses because of the water pump issue?! No one provides any information about the wine and the cups aren't marked so you have to guess the type of wine in each. The tables are small and there isn't room for more than 2 of these and we had 4. The staff isn't attentive in removing items from the table so we ended up just clearing space by moving things to an empty table. The cheese board is good - except for the paper plate. The only wine I enjoyed was the Merlot, but not nearly enough to buy any. The sangria was basically fruit juice - way too sweet! We ordered sandwiches at the same time as our cheese board and tastings. We finished the cheese board and the tasting and sat there for another 30 minutes before the sandwiches came out. We had to ask for water to drink since the wine was gone. After that, no one came back to check on us or bring us a bill. We had to ask for that and remind them of what we ordered! We literally could have walked out and no one would have known. I would not go back or recommend this winery to anyone - there are other wineries that offer a far better experience and superior wines.

Wonderful people and great wine (Merlot and Table Rock). Relaxing atmosphere and well worth the visit. We will be back!

Off the beaten path but a great place to eat and drink if you are visiting Table Rock. Beautiful view, terrific wine, and good food. Food is only available until 2:30. Definitely better than a concession stand in the park.

What a beautiful vineyard so close to home!! We arrived as soon as they opened at noon on Sunday and I'm glad we did. We were promptly seated on the terrace with a view. My husband and I both had a wine flight...they were all really good and served at the right temperature. We opted for the cheese, crackers, and focaccia, then dessert. By 1pm it was very busy, so go early.

My friends and I walked in to look around during our New Years trip to the area and enjoyed perusing the store. It's small, but packs quite a bit of merchandise and quite the variety as well. I'm not sure if the store has a true theme as there was everything from candles to gift cards to jewelry to some religious themed kid's books - but everything was very nice and mostly well-priced. I will say that the battling scents of all the candles and potpourri-type items they had in the store gave me a bit of a headache (combined with the heat on full-blast), but the staff was super friendly and asked if they could help me with anything. They seemed quite excited to have just received their first review on Yelp and were talking about it while I was looking at items at the front counter (gave me and my friends a smile). I was quite excited to find glass nail files (not an easy find) which were hand-painted - also very reasonably priced. I bought myself a couple and was on my way. Making a mental note for the next time I am in the area as these are great for gifts as well. They also had some earrings that I had my eye on - very nicely crafted. Definitely one of the top stores to spend your money in along Main Street - worth a stop!

The music sets the mood, and it ranges from toe-tapping bluegrass to old-timey hymns, all instrumentals using mountain dulcimers and the like. Shoppers begin to smile and reminisce, and memories of older, simpler times often cause a story to be shared. Penny patiently listens to everybody's stories; she says that's what makes her day. She has good merchandise, nothing too expensive, because she knows times are hard. Personal service is her forte, a box, gift wrap, a little extra tissue please. Funny cards cause laughter to erupt and joy seems to spread through the store. There are lots of bears, cute metal signs, bird houses, candles, garden flags, angels galore, journals and note pads, jewelry, and ,"you know, things my regular customers keep coming back for." And come back they do. Over and over they say, "This is my favorite store. We always come to Mountain Heritage when we come to Highlands, and we always find something we like!"

THE VINTAGE OWL!…read more This little gift shop is located in the heart of downtown Lavonia and it is simply adorable. We were in town to attend their fall festival when we noticed that this store was open very early! Score! We wondered in and browsed their vast selection of wares: sweaters, southern inspired tees, collegiate spirit wear and related items, Christian greeting cards, kitchen accessories, general clothing options, bags, an infant room that was stocked with baby clothing and related items and of course jewelry. There was so much to see that you would need a generous amount of time to explore it all. We had a specific schedule so we were not able to stay as long as we would have liked. We actually got caught up in the jewelry section where they had the "ever so popular" memory bracelets which can be personalized as you get to select the pop-in pieces to finish the item of your choice. You may choose from bracelets, lockets or earrings and everything happened to be on sale today so the prices were great. They had a VAST selection of the "pop in" pieces so my husband and I spent a significant amount of time (with owner assistance), digging through the bins to find the right pieces, (we needed five snap buttons to complete our toggle and clasp bracelet). To personalize my daughter's bracelet, I chose the following buttons: UGA, family, little sister, MRS, the initial J and "I love mom". They also had neutral pieces that are just "pretty or sparkly" so you don't necessary have to have a specific message on your button. I knew that she would love the bracelet because she really appreciates jewelry that has meaning and she usually just shops my cabinet but now she has something that was purchased specifically for her. With the bracelets, you have the option of purchasing them with an elastic band or a toggle clasp. The clasp is going to be more durable and it is adjustable so consider this when purchasing. Also, pieces can be added and removed as desired which means that you can continue to add additional pieces for special occasions and significant milestones. The options are endless! During the transition from September to October, I love to decorate, inside and out. The outside is decorated with scarecrows, pumpkins, cornstalks and garden stakes while the inside is also dressed in fall splendor. We love it! The Vintage Owl is a great option for finding fall accents and pieces that add a bit of warmth and whimsy. When visiting the town of Lavonia, this little shop is a must stop on your tour. It is the perfect place to buy gifts for others, or to get something for your home or yourself. The staff was very helpful and we enjoyed our time here. Definitely recommended!
