I almost never leave negative yelp reviews, but Victorian has been so disappointing for our family. Their caregivers are chronically late. And there seems to be no consequences for this. We also had problems with theft my father's bank account by one of their caregivers. We have had so many missed shifts with no warning. Nothing seems to happen to the caregivers who miss shifts and don't show up. They also do not have any kind of plan to fill-in for people who don't show up on time or who don't show up at all. There is no back up whatsoever. I have asked about this over and over again. They don't keep a floater available for when people call in sick with no notice. They just say that that would be too expensive. They can't do it. I have to recommend that nobody go here. It's been really bad. The only reason we are still there is because one of the caregivers is nice and my dad really likes her. I have been trying to talk him into switching to another agency for Months now. This morning, once again, the Caregiver didn't show up and there was no notification ahead of time. one more shift where we have to find someone else to cover with no warning. I'm putting this review because I hope it keeps people away from their business or maybe gets them to pay attention to the fact that their service is so incredibly inconsistent. read more

This is the worst place to work they do not care about employees or clients. They care about a check! You will be left stranded with no care, they will write up care givers who family members have died and need to grieve. Management is terrible, Sarah is rude and seems to have no professional background for this field. This place seems understaffed as no one knows how to do anything. They are not in compliance with laws, as caregivers are not up to speed on training, shots, and records are half assed. This place has been sued on multiple occasions. This is a hostile environment. And HR's only interest is the company and not the employee. read more

*The company had this previous review removed, twice on Google* Worst company I have ever worked for. I was not a caregiver, I was a recruiter. I stopped working here December 2020, and have given this review a lot of thought. I am a professional and like to act like so at a workplace. I was shamed by the branch manager for being "too professional" and me not wanting to be her friend, this is verbatim. I could list so many things this company does illegally. There were so many inconsistencies in the workplace, like wrongful terminations. There's historical coercion by asking caregivers to post good reviews by giving them good evaluations after they get a bad review (like this one). Recruiting caregivers was difficult because this company did not follow through with incentives offered at time of hire. The branch manager needs to get higher education and take management classes. Branch manager always takes time off and still gets paid for it. Her time off affects her ability to lead, and her ability is subpar. HR won't do anything about it. But others will get fired for taking time off for valid reasons like COVID scares and illness? The unfairness and discrimination is astonishing. Internal staff have had many mental breakdowns because of the current branch manager. Toxic work environment subconsciously encouraged by the manager that targets people in the office, and caregivers, even when they do their job right and exceed realistic expectations. I felt for the caregivers working at this agency, trying their best, but this company drives them to burnout and don't care. read more

Hired this company for only 16 hrs on the weekend. They have left me stranded twice already!! If it were MY company I'd have sent management out to cover the shift rather than leave a vm at the end of the day saying no one would be there in the morning. So unprofessional! They obviously have little or no regard for their clients needs! I will be looking for another company to replace them and WILL NOT be recommending them to another unsuspecting family! read more

I have known Amy Garner for six years. She cared for my dad for three years. I found her to be intelligent, caring, and she has the utmost integrity. I trusted her with both mom and dad. When she was with them, I knew they were well cared for and happy. She was super responsible and kept me informed of their condition. They enjoyed her cooking, and the house was always clean and neat. Her interactions with them upbeat and interested in the world around them. If Amy had to take them in their car, I was confident in her driving and that she would keep them safe. I was very satisfied with Victorian's office staff. The phone was always answered if I had a question, and my concerns were promptly handled. I would recommend Victorian to any one that I know. I'm very happy and proud to hear Amy had been promoted to Client Care Supervisor, she certainly deserves it! read more

I am intentionally not providing any stars to Victorian Home Care. First, Kindred has purchased Victorian Home Care. Like most acquisitions in the rapidly expanding home health care industry, the quality of the service has deteriorated. My mother did not receive quality of care required or promised and we were over billed for services. Kindred provided services for roughly one month. We were promised two steady caregivers to cover the night shift. During the course of 10 days, we had no fewer than five different caregivers. This terrified my mother. A new stranger in her room every night. We were told caregivers worked in teams. The caregivers indicated that there were no team huddles on common patients. We asked caregivers to check in on Mom every few hours to help her to the bathroom. Recovering from a UTI, we could not risk another infection. We found Mom in wet Depends four mornings despite caregivers telling up point blank they had changed her. One caregiver, Virginia, left mother in a soaked bed at least three mornings. After two weeks of assurances from Kindred that care would improve, we installed a camera in the bedroom. We were appalled by what was recorded. Not only did caregivers fail to check on Mom more than once during the night (including Carmina), she was left unattended at the side of her bed by Virginia (she could have fallen as she was very weak). She was changed by ripping the Depends out from under her as opposed to cutting the Depends off and rolling Mom to remove them (no wonder the bedsheets were soaked). We brought this to Kindred's attention. No change in practice. I personally started calling the home phone during the middle of the night to tell the caregivers to do their job. Not once has Kindred requested to see the video feed and they even have tried to blame the patient for being resistant to changing (which the video debunks). Poor care was followed by over billing my credit card for service not provided and at higher hourly rates than Gina the manager discussed with me when we started service. I am told a refund in the amount of over $1,200 is being processed. There is little State oversight of home health care agencies and families are left to monitor the quality of service. This is wrong and a crisis facing America. Your best bet is to ask friends for recommendations. Furious with the attitude of Kindred, we started to search for replacements. Mom passed before we were able to hire new caregivers. read more

horrible. over $30. an hour to come by and give pil2ld and the girl left after 10 minutes. waste of money. better off finding some you know and will care and appreciate the money. had better luck with a nursing student. care givers from agencies like this only get about a 1/3 of what you pay to the agency. read more
