She does lots of errands for us including shopping for groceries, driving the patient to the doctor, going to the pharmacy, taking her patient for a short walk or wheel chair ride in one of our lovely parks. Around home she takes care of bed making and laundry and some minor indoor and outdoor chores. She is also here midday so prepares lunch as well. She is very efficient and is always on time and completes her tasks in time to be sociable and friendly with her patient. As a result, the patient likes her caregiver very much. Prior to this caregiver, we had another who was just as lovely and caring and efficient. We have loved them both and would recommend them highly for any caregiver or other job. In addition , we can't say enough about Visiting Angels and its staff. They screen and train their caregivers well and are very cooperative and understanding if there has to be a change of schedule. They are Johnny on the spot about any necessary substitution. The office pkeep us informed by phone and always give us time to make decisions. We hired them because we heard all of these good things about them. Believe me, they do not disappoint.

They billed insurance too! We especially loved working with Marianne, Alecia and Anna. The three of them each had their own wonderful ways of caring; however, they were dutiful to know the tasks that were important. They oversaw medications, doctor's appointments, cooking and light cleaning. We appreciated that they looked for things to do during downtime. Marianne and Alecia texted me pictures when I was in another state so I felt connected. Marianne went above and beyond to make sure that there was a loving and familial atmosphere. She brought homemade food that she made for her own family. Alecia was a great listener and companion. Our family member adored her and sometimes asked her to sit and chat. We also found that Alecia's homemade chicken noodle soup was truly heartwarming! When our family member was entering hospice and becoming less communicative, it was hard for us to coax eating and medications. Anna worked her magic and was persuasive where family was not! Sarah, the Executive Director, has been so welcoming, compassionate, and attentive. Theresa and Nurse Tiffany have also been wonderful and have given me so much peace of mind knowing my loved one is being cared for. I truly feel that we made the right decision choosing Ivy Park. Management does not care about resident opinions. People have been complaining for 6 to 9 months…read moreabout the food quality going downhill, and nothing has been done. Basic things like eggs not being cooked properly, running out of the main entree at 5:00 p.m. when the dining room opens at 4:30, not ordering enough pie and ice cream, a variety of meals that just don't taste good. They recently had some patio work that they were working on and they boarded up everybody's sliding glass door so they can't get out, which is important for safety. But nobody thought to get building permits?!!?? So the boarding was up longer than it needed to be, and then it was taken down before the project was completed, and now they're going to be restarting the project again. Seems like they don't know their ass from their armpit. They've started some new upgrades to the facility, and the residents had opinions about painting over the warm wood in the entryway and other spaces. Management painted over it anyway. It seems to us that they could spend money to hire better cooks and order better quality food, rather than spending money to upgrade the place when it looks fine as it is. There are some very quality staff that should be commended. Their maintenance staff is kind and responsive. Monica gets ready for reviews from everyone, including us.
