Victorian Lane Bed & Breakfast provided a welcome and warm respite on our trip through the John Day. Victorian Lane Bed & Breakfast is absolutely charming! Located on a hillside with a glorious veiw of the surrounding area, this is the best place to stay in John Day, Oregon. And I'd bet it's the best place for a 100 miles and more. The bedrooms are quaint, and lovely. At first glance you will be charmed by the decor and character in each room all the way from the porch through the dinning area, into the music room, up the stairs and all the to the way up to the second floor. The bathroom is shared, for some that is an issue but don't fret they have another bathroom downstairs. It is clean with plenty of room to work with if needed. Breakfast! I really should start with the breakfast!! It was honestly the best I've had in a very long time! How awesome is it to wake up to someone making you a homecooked meal!? I think it's pretty special!! I got up had a nice hot cup of coffee and sat outside and watched the sunrise. I felt like I was in a storybook. Living the dream! The wonderful hosts made me a special breakfast to go since I had to be out of the house early. I really hope I can come visit them again when I am on vacation and not working, as I was this trip! June 30th and 31st of 2021 we had the pleasure of staying at Pete & Andrea Martinez's Victorian Lane Bed & Breakfast in John Day Oregon. The hospitality was appreciated after our drive through Hell's Canyon to visit my wife's sister in John Day. The accommodations were comfortable and pleasant. The breakfasts were delicious and the view on the patio was beautiful. We lingered in and soaked up the serenity - hooting owls, chirping birds, and small mammals scurrying about. A tapestry of greens and tans with tree stubble under a blue sky with dreamy clouds on a lumpy canvas of the high desert. read more

This B&B far exceeded our expectations. Pete & Andrea are the most gracious, accommodating hosts seeing to your every need. Their home is lovely with very interesting details in every room. The bed in the room we stayed in was very comfortable and we slept well. Breakfast in the morning, out on the deck with the gorgeous view, was so delicious and Andrea's presentations of the dishes was artful. I just can't say enough about the Victorian Lane B&B...you should really stay there if you have the opportunity! read more
