We took a risk and sight unseen booked six nights here for the start of our month traveling. What a lucky break for us! We loved it here. We had a great campsite, nice neighbors and wonderful hosts in Dave and Lyndee. The campground faciities are immaculate, quiet, conveniently located and private bathrooms were much appreciated. Extremely neat and clean RV park, just an overnight stay for us but so glad we chose this location to spend the night!

Great little place in a tiny town. Towels were great! Linens were tidy and crisp. Love love love the fish quilt. Beautiful property. A few ducks and chickens roam, a garden. Large area for hikers, bikers that have a tent. Great RV area. The reason for the four and not five happy stars you ask?!? There is a "property" dog or two. It would be nice if a poop bag pole was available to guests. I have bags and always pick up my dogs Tootsie Roll sized poop. No visiable waste can. I would come back. read more

I was surprised that this little stop turned out as nice as it did. It was late and it was nice to open the door and say, this is good. I think it doubles as an Airbnb, so standards are a bit higher. The still of the night are deafening and the stars are heavenly. You will most like never know what quiet is until you go outside. You can hear yourself breathe and want to fill you lungs with the crisp and clean air. Their water is from a high spring. There is no city contamination here. It is the closest to the fossil beds and painted hills. Few have in this Oregon location but I feel so rich that I inquired in this area. read more

Super cute spot in a super cute town close to the Painted Hills and the Fossil Beds. After four days of camping, we were so glad to have a quiet, comfortable room here. We picked up dinner down the street and ate at the picnic tables on the inn's manicured lawn with a beautiful view of sunset on the surrounding hills. We were able to beat the crowds and the heat at the Painted Hills by staying close by, and much preferred the town of Dayville to Mitchell, which we passed through the next day. read more

We pulled in with 3 rv's, very easy access. Beautiful little park. People are so very friendly!! We stayed for 2 night and we shall return!! Stayed in an RV for two nights on 3/28-29. Nice small quiet campground close to John Day fossil beds. Their wifi worked great in the camper.

This is a lovely place. It's a collection of old buildings from the early 1900s, all lovingly maintained. The first floor of the inn has a kitchen and living room. A couple bedrooms are downstairs and the rest upstairs. The rooms have one to three beds with bathrooms or with shared bathrooms. The RV spaces are large and grassy and there are group picnic spots. The bed linens and towels are old but serviceable, there are funky old airconditioners that work. The town is so quiet that traffic stops about sundown and there wasn't that much to begin with. We were a group of 15 people some camping, some in RVs and some in the Inn. It was wonderful. It's cheap. read more

We came back again this year, this time reserving the Main House as well as the three rooms upstairs. The place is still fantastic, and with 13 adults and three kids, it was nice to have three bathrooms and all six bedrooms. This is a great location to kick back and slow DOWN. We cooked the whole weekend (full kitchen plus grills) and the free laundry facilities in the Main House were a real bonus. We plan to come back every year! read more

The fish house inn is a jewel. The well maintained grounds are beconing for you to pitch your tent, which is just what I did. 15$ will get you beautiful, soft green grass, pik nik table, and access to clean warm showers, water close by. Strong Wii fi, and 3g. Mike, the owner, has lived here for 25 years. Kind and approachable, he can answer any question as to where to eat, where to feast your eyes on the natural beauty this valley has to offer, and will tip a cold one with ya. I have travelled and camped across this country in 2014, on my bicycle, and have stayed in many camping facilities. Many I would not recommend. The fish house is a very nice place to pitch, , pull thru or get a room. I would come back here in a moment. I can highly recommend it. read more

The most comfortable place we have stayed in a long time. Very friendly people, and well maintained down to the last detail. We had the Salmon Suite and thought it was great. Cold AC, satellite, comfortable bed, good pillows for a change, large tub, quiet and park-like setting. All at a decent price. read more

This place was a highlight of our summer road trip. The grounds were a true oasis near the John Day fossil beds and the Painted Hills. The grass was so green and clean, we didn't even wear shoes. We did RV camping here in July. It's a tiny little town and an exceptionally pleasant place to camp. Beautiful lush green lawns, very peaceful and friendly. Our dog was permitted to go off leash (which is always a blessing), and they have two sweet golden retrievers who live there. Lovely quiet, relaxing atmosphere. Would love to have stayed another night or two, but we were on our way to Yellowstone and had to be on our way. See you again next year! read more

We stayed at the Fish House Inn on a trip to eastern Oregon. At first, I wasn't sure about making the reservation because the website was out of date and it included an RV park. Boy was I wrong! The grounds are very nicely kept, the manager was friendly, and the rates were very reasonable. It also looked like a nice place for RVing or tent camping. I would definitely recommend it. Another plus was that the room we stayed in had a twin and a double bed, perfect for two people who want to stay in the same room, but not the same bed. read more

Just o.k., it is a pretty good value for the money. Thin towels, but hey the bed was comfy, room and bath clean. Per it's name, all the rooms are decorated with a fishing theme. Our room had a private bath (most do not) and could sleep three comfortably for $65, which I thought was most reasonable. There is not much too choose from in Dayville as far as accommodations. The Fish House Inn is top of the list. read more

This was our first experience camping in a town and it was great. We camped on a lush green lawn where we pulled a picnic table near our tent and parked the car by the tent for easy loading. There was a bathroom building with two unisex bathrooms and a laundry room. The bathrooms consisted of a sink, toilet, and shower. The showers were free, generous in size, and complete with towels. Very very clean from bath house to entire grounds. Mike and his golden retriever, Zander were a delight to visit with. Mike was always available, but not in a hovering way. Our stay was laid back, comfortable, and as an unexpected bonus; the business next door had yummy Eberhard's ice cream. Best value at $15.00 a night for a safe and clean camping experience. read more

We stopped here for 2 nights while visiting the Painted Hills and the Thomas Condon paleontology Center . This RV Park is lovely with beautiful green grass, full hook ups and spotless bathrooms and showers. The staff is friendly and the town of Dayville is sweet with a relaxed vibe. Highly recommend! Need to make reservations early in April for the summer as it is a small place! read more

Loved this RV campground. There are only six full RV hook-ups which makes for a very relaxing experience with impeccable grassy areas for your dog to lounge and camping tents to spread out. This place is by far the cleanest most well manicured RV park we've been to. The bathrooms and showers are spotless and offer complimentary towels. The grounds are a gorgeous blend of fruit trees, raspberries, and golf course quality turf, maintained by Mike, the owner. You can walk less than 2 minutes down the sidewalk to get an ice cream or fill your growler. What a great surprise this little town and rv park was! read more

The Fish House Inn is by far the BEST of the best and Dayville is an equally awesome rural Oregon town. I love this place! We were driving though the area and decided we should look for a place to lay our heads for the night. We ended up at the at the Fish House. It was refreshing, relaxing, and peaceful. I did not want to leave, but we had to move on. I will definitely be back and stay longer. read more

We pulled into the RV park on a Saturday night in the summer. The office was closed but the sign said to pick a spot. One RV spot was open so we took it. The RV park has full hook ups and level sights. The grounds are spotless! We really enjoyed our short stay here and would love to come back. read more

We stayed one week in the wonderful 6 unit RV park. The park is literally a park setting, as owner Mike keeps the place immaculate, and the grounds green all year round. very reasonable nightly/weekly rates and a very quite setting...will return again! read more
