How I managed to miss this winner in Lynn Haven downtown (yes there is an original old 100 plus year small downtown one block off 77 that sustained damage during the hurricane but lovely nonetheless) is a mystery. It drips with charm. A traditional soup, sandwich lunch spot that stands apart. You get a half sandwich, soup, small side with a chocolate. Seriously nailing the it. The tea is southern brewed yummy. The soup changes daily, always homemade. Chicken and dumpling soup was thick, seasoned to perfection and hot. The cucumber salad was vinegar based, sliced thin and still good 2 days later when I finished the leftovers with the sandwich I took home. Closes after lunch but did not feel rushed at 2. Served did side work but never abandoned any f her tables. Chocolates by the bag if you wish to take home like I did. Quiches too. If you want to have an elegant, proper lunch: this is the place to be. I plan on taking my mom here next week. (Park in the street - there is plenty on Florida but not next to restaurant side as it is for a doc's office & rumor has it he likes to tow when he is having a bad day). read more

First off, the place is cute with antiques. It is very charming and cozy, with many interesting things on the walls. We picked up and took our food home. The lady at the counter was delightful and very friendly. What service we did have was excellent. My husband ordered the chicken n dumplings, which he said was good, but has had better. He loved the truffles they give you with your meal. I ordered the sampler which was just ok, at best. The tuna salad, I didn't like at all. The chicken salad was ok and the pimento cheese was ok. My absolute favorite thing was the broccoli crunch salad, that was amazing! I could have just ordered a pound of that and been happy. I'll go back just for the broccoli crunch salad, not so much for the other food. read more

They catered an event that we attended, the food was horrific. In the store it may be better, but as bulk for a large group it was terrible. We had something that was supposed to be Chicken Alfredo, it was more associated with something that should be served in a Federal Prison for the worst offenders as a punishment for poor behavior. The Ham was ok, not horrible, but I still felt bad for the pig that gave his life simply to be disrespected on the sad plastic plate. His life should have been celebrated as a juicy tender well displayed piece of meat to be enjoyed. Today I mourn the poor demise of the pig and his sacrifice all for nothing. The Asparagus was good, the potato's would have been better had they been left on the shelf at the store. I would not recommend their food unless you were hungry and already resorted to cannibalism and ate your friends and one of your hands but still needed the other hand to function. read more

I was passing through coming from Michigan to Panama City, when we came across this seedy little run down town where we thought we would find a good meal, boy were we wrong. We ordered the chicken salad, well it was the wrong day for that since it was very bland, no flavor, and kinda had a funny taste. We also order the chicken pesto sandwich which was like lunch meat and the bread was stale and very to little pesto. I know the restaurant business are struggling so we decided to support a small town business but next time we'll think twice before we do that. So before heading to this spot, It was not good at all.
