Another sad visit to Victorias. Man, I wish the food wasn't so so good. I ordered Boneless Buffalo Tenders tonight. When I arrived, we decided to eat there. I opened them up and there was barely any sauce. More like a dribble than tossed. I went up and asked if I could have more sauce. They brought them back and I again opened them up to eat. More sauce was dribbled on top but the whole bottom layer was dry and I showed to the staff and they acknowledged it. A kid came out and attempted to apologize. He said "the kid that made these is pretty messed up." I asked if there was a manager I could speak with as it wasn't the first time. He said I'd have to talk to Deepak but that he probably wouldn't care and wouldn't be surprised. Nice way to operate. read more

Greetings fellow yelpers! Today I took a trip down the south shore to a little place called Victorias! I always glance through the reviews before I visit a place, and they all seemed quite mixed! For every 5 star experience, there's a 1 star tragedy occurring at the same time. I walked into the restaurant, admiring a simple yet effective decor. I enjoyed the openness of the establishment, and with no line I walked straight up to a young lady at the register. I ordered a cheese pizza, a cherry bomb sub, and the girl recommended the mozzarella sticks, so I tried em as well! The food came fairly quick, and I sat down alone in a booth. The cherry bomb was delicious, and I burped with a big compliment to the chef. I bit into the mozzarella sticks, and a big glop of goopy cheese fell into my mouth, elevating my tastebuds to a higher level! The cheese pizza concerned me, as when I opened it I found a spider on the slice! Eeeek! I ordered plain, not arachnid! It was okay, I complained to the server and she ate the slice, and replaced it with a new one. The customer service was excellent, the food was served with a cheek to cheek smile, and the pizza was fine! Maybe I'll return, but as life continues on, so will I. read more

Been ordering for more than a decade. The food is good, but when they deliver, they always leave something off. Without fail. The ketchup won't happen. Or the cheese. Or the extra dressing. Or the celery sticks with the buffalo wings. Why? It's like an SNL skit. It's like they TRY to leave something off. What I really want to know is why their sandwiches are sort of a mess? Why in every third bite do you get a piece of dead pickle stem or the point of a tomato stalk, where it was one attached to the plant. That's the a hard inedible part of a tomato or pickle. It's the ruin of an almost decent sandwich. You don't put onion skins on right? Same thing. These are not things that people want to bite into it's really just cheap product and carelessness. Please don't serve people stalks of plants in their food. When you make a sandwich make it like you would want it. Not with all kinds of weird dry bits of unrecognizable foods or possible foods or God knows what in it. Kind of disappointing. I've also had the pizza, they have a square variation, which was thick and dry and not very good. I want to like Victorias because I'd like to move away from the old standbys which are nearby in Hanover, Marshfield and Scituate but I can't... Because every time I order something, there's something weird or unpleasant in it. Or something is missing. They also make sure to let you know when you're paying that there's an option to tip before you cash out with a card. Sort of tacky. It's takeout not table service. I just got a small ham and swiss sub and there were maybe 2 slices of ham. Used to be good but now it's not.

Since moving from Boston to Scituate, we've struggled to find good take out. Problem solved. Victoria's has the best steak and cheese sub on the south shore, even tops that at Salt Societe. I cannot recommend this sub enough. Secondly, the Buffalo honey tenders are 10/10. My folks love the pizza and Greek Salad, the food is ready on time, what else can you ask for? Called to order a chicken parm sub, wasn't asked my name just phone number, walked in they asked me what name it was under, I said I didn't leave one, they then proceeded to tell me I ordered a sausage sub .. when I corrected them they told me it would only take a minute to make my actual order, ends up that's because the chicken was just laying around and clearly had been under a heat lamp for what tastes like the entire day - just gross. I'm sure many people love this local pizzeria. I have no problem with the pizza. It's the holidays and we're in the middle of another "Covid scare"- I think anyone standing in line would appreciate honesty from the counter workers. First I was put on eternal hold while driving. Then getting through to place the order 10minutes later, wife was told your pizza will be ready in 15 minutes ...I should've used common sense and known that was impossible, considering my dad was in the pizza business for 40 years! I waited 36 minutes from the order phoned in, left to go home, and my saintly wife took pity on me and drove back to pickup considering I worked 12 hours in the hospital (I'm sure folks work as hard everywhere). Again, please don't lie to customers about ready times. 2 other customers were swearing under their breath as they left with their order. Advice: order online and give lots of extra time. I never post a review on Yelp despite the fact I rely on it for tips and reviews mostly for restaurants/cafe experiences. I just had the Granny Smith salad with grilled turkey tips and I have to say it was so outstanding I have to let people in on this really delicious salad. It's not your typical pizza takeout grilled chicken salad that I am always bored by but resort to because I do not eat pizza or subs. The occasion was a work meeting and I was treated by my employer but I will definitely return for this salad . It had whole, crunchy walnuts, crisp and freshly cut green apple , fresh greens and a delicious topping of obviously high quality bleu cheese crumbles. And the homemade balsamic vinaigrette was a welcome departure from the generic bottled dressing usually provided with a takeout salad. read more

I've been to Victoria's Pizzeria a few times as it is conveniently on my way home. Every time I go, I say that I will never go back. Then I go back and question why I did, yet again. I've gotten many below average subs from there. I always get home and am very disappointed. Also, NEVER and I repeat NEVER get a salad from them. I ordered a large sub and two salads with grilled chicken. I paid over $40 for the order. I asked for "light lettuce" on the sub because the person eating it doesn't love lettuce but wanted some greens. When the sub was unwrapped, HEAPS of lettuce came flying out everywhere. Definitely NOT light lettuce. Each salad was $16, and absolutely disgusting. The lettuce was brown, the tomatoes were soggy, and the chicken was sketchy, chewy, and bland. That was the last straw. My mom and I both ate few bites of the salad and tossed the rest. A complete waste of money. Get it together, Victoria and company. Sincerely, a customer who you've lost. The thing I really like about Victoria's is the friendly service. No one on the South Shore really has amazing pizza, and most of it is sub par. So when it comes to the few places that have a decent slice (that you can buy by the slice) Victoria's sets themselves apart by putting smiling faces upfront that work hard and remember your name. Both Amanda and Maggie are super helpful and nice whenever I come in. And the manager (who's name I forgot unfortunately) helped me with a big order for my daughter's birthday party. The only downfall is some of the pricing, which seems a bit high given some of the competition that are also locally owned and operated. But the overall experience, including plenty of TV's, a diverse menu, and a great fountain soda set up, make Victoria's my new local go to. read more
