Best pizza around. I don't know how, but their homemade crust stays amazingly fresh overnight in the fridge. The salads & subs are delicious too and they make only meatballs I eat out, anywhere. Any sports fans out there? Well, if so, make sure to check out the Cohasset Pizza House. They are HUGE Boston sports fans and have so many posters, signs and other cool stuff to show off their spirit. But the best thing about this place is that they make everything SIMPLE. I order pizza about once a week, and most other places ask for a phone number, for a name, blah, blah, blah. By the time you're off the phone you've just wasted five minutes. Plus, everybody has gone through the waiting and waiting for some places to even ANSWER. The pizza place near my house lets the phone ring at least twelve times before answering... seriously, how rude can you be. This place, you call, they answer fast, you give them your order and they tell you your number. No names, phone numbers or any other wasting-time sort of information. Sure, it sounds small, but I agree with the saying about "the small things in life make the difference"... or something like that. Anyway, this place has a great indoor seating area with about fifteen booths and is on the big side. Parking is right out front, and finding a spot is never an issue. Menu is large and includes a decent selection with categories of pizza, pasta, salads, grinders, calzones, wraps, dinners, pasta, steak, appetizers, and other stuff in-between. Definitely anticipate coming back when I'm down in this area of the South Shore for more. Food is fresh, delicious and prompt. Everyone working here was friendly, kind, and energetic. Pretty standard but something about the cheese is different and better than it looks. I think they may use a little smoked provolone in the cheese mix. Whatever it is, it's really good. The crust is typical run of the mill crust and the sauce isn't anything different than others. Slices are cheap and service is friendly. read more

Stopped by for pizza and a chicken ceasar salad. That along with 2 sodas ran $28.14. When I questioned the total they showed me the breakdown of the pricing. It was significantly more than the pricing on their sign board. They then told me pricing was subject to change. I asked them "shouldn't you change the pricing on the sign if they were going to increase prices? They told me that the prices they charge when they ring up the order is the correct pricing, not that on the sign. The pizza was average and so was the $11 Caesar salad. Certainly not worth $28.14 Advertising one price and charging another is enough for me to not return. Their attitude that this was reasonable shows they are not customer friendly. read more

For a small town Cohasset has five pizzerias, thus a lot of competition. Tonight my daughter and I stopped in for subs. We asked to have extra cheese on the Meatball and Italian, and we're not disappointed. Both grinder rolls were chock full of meats, sauce and other accompaniments. Plus, they toasted them just right! A bonus for us is that they now serve gluten free pizza at a fairly reasonable price; usually there is quite an upcharge for the crust. We didn't try it, but will definitely do so in the future. Cohasset House of Pizza, or better know as "CHOPS" by the local indigenous people. Unlike the great local businesses like Dairy Queen, when you walk into CHOPS you are hit with a heat wave that would eradicate the dinosaurs. After trekking through the molten hot restaurant, you only have two options, a "buff chick cal" or perhaps a hot sub, the roast beef is good. Although they are designated as a "pizza house," the pizza blows. I don't recommend. The calzone however, is a modern marvel of flavor and cuisine. The is a perfect blend of meat, dough, and cheese. Especially if you get a coveted corner piece. However by now you will be sweating so hard that the meal might be a little uncomfortable. In conclusion, I do recommend. Although CHOPS is closed on Sundays and that is a little disappointing. But the food is really good so try it, maybe get it to go. read more
