Ruined a $200 bag. Wanted the zipper replaced. "Ohhh no problem!" Picked it up. The lining was backwards. Asked him to fix it. He refused saying the material was weakened. Went home. Started thinking about why I didn't ask for the $40 refund. Went back AGAIN, all of a sudden he told me he can fix it! A miracle! No refund. Said he just "told me that" beforehand to basically get rid of me. He confessed to that. So when's the lying start?. Showed him the exact photo of the bag and the replacement cost and asked him to agree to replace if he ruined it. He refused and threw $35 at me. Told me I only paid him $35. Another lie. My husband had picked it up and paid the $40. Big rip off. Arrogant. Smug. It's been many years since I've been to Victor's tailor shop, I believe the last time was in 2006. My first visit to Victor was in early 2000 to have my then pride and joy, Hugo Boss suit altered and I knew nothing about pant cuffs, pleats, and etc. I would buy a pre-owned sport coat on eBay for $100.00 that originally sold for $1000.00+, take it to Victor to have it tailored for me. I buy high-end clothes (Canali, Armani, Versace, Hugo Boss, blah-blah) off of eBay for pennies off the original dollar. I would trust and Victor to tailor it to fit me as if I had purchased it new. Victor will give the the same customer service and quality tailoring to any garment that he touches regardless of the cost or label. read more

Victor gave me excellent customer service, his work is amazing, and his passion for his work really showed. He took his time to help me find the perfect length for the dress i needed hemmed. The dress was finished on time, and the alteration was PERFECT! The shop is a little bit hidden, but it wasn't hard to find. It's a small comfortable place and Victor was very inviting and friendly from the moment we arrived. He even gave me small tips for taking proper care of my dress "always have someone else zip it up, or else you might pull the zipper off the track". ..small tip, but very useful. I was picking up my son from his Krav Maga class, and I found This helpful taylor. I was scheduled to have some photos taken in my Navy uniform. I had to order my dress blue jacket because my original uniform had been lost. I received it the same day, via fed ex. It was in my car so that if I had sons free time, I could attach the patches myself with sons hemming tape because I'm the anti-Martha Stewart. So when I pulled into the parking lot, saw Victor's Taylor shop and saw that he was open at 4:30, I went in to see if he could sew on the patches and I could pick them up in the morning. Instead, Victor had it done for me by 6pm, and hemmed my sleeves so they hit my wrists in the right place. I love in Long Beach. I work in LA. I commute to Murrieta for family. Found a very expensive custom made (Marine Shop, Quantico VA) dress blues jacket for 21 dollars at resale shop, and brought it to victor's to have it altered. He did such amazing job it fits like and looks just like it was custom made to fit me! The employees are very polite and professional. The jacket was ready for pickup as requested. Great tailor! I refuse to take my clothes any where else. I even have credit at department stores to get my stuff tailored for free, but I always end up at Victors. He does an excellent job altering and fixing clothes. I have always been 100% satisfied with the results. I'm new to the area and I checked Yelp to find a place to get my pants altered. I had about 6 pair. I took them in, he was very nice and friendly. Seems to really know his stuff. The problem came when I tried on each pair of pants & he had to pin them. He really made me uncomfortable because he intentionally pulled my pants waist out further than necessary-when he was pinning the waist- and proceeded to look into my pants. He did this a few times as I tried on the pants for him to pin. I am a women, so It was quite unsettling and uncomfortable and I will never return. If you're a women and you have to try on clothes, I would suggest taking someone with you or even better GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!!!
