I had taken driving lessons before and knew how to do it mostly, but could never land parallel parking or the test, and 2 lessons in and I managed to pass/fix some stuff. Horrible experience. Paid $65.00 for a driving safety assessment and received no formal written or oral feedback regarding results. I called the office multiple times to speak to the driving instructor and was blown off by front desk staff. Ultimately, I was provided feedback second hand through the front desk, which was vague and contradictory. Specifically, I was told that there were no major red flags for the driver but the instructor recommended 5 additional driving classes, for reasons that were not clear. At that point, I was told the instructor was too busy to discuss the results further. When I requested written results, the front desk staff told me that she'd email me the findings, which she never did. They've lost my business. read more

I had a very bad experience with the fist driving school i attended, so that make me lost the hope with the other driving school, but undoubtedly I highly recommend this place, they the customer service is good, and they let you know everything clearly before the test, and the instructor who gave me the practice test was wonderful because he was clear in the explanations about how to do the most important things ( parallel park, and three point turn ) very helpful his advices. Also the location is very convenient and they help you with all the questions you have. Don't hesitate to contact them if you need to pass your road test!! read more

Scheduling driving hours wasn't great but ok -- we were told by Bernadette it would be easy to schedule two kids back-to-back but it was impossible. The nightmare was SEVERAL times my daughter was returned home late. One time it was 45 MINUTES late. She was trapped in the car for 2 HOURS AND 45 MINUTES. I spoke to the driver while she was over time and 30 minutes away from me and was told it is not big deal there was traffic. He was however doing things like 3 point turns with the new driver while my daughter was observing even past the time. Bernadette did not think it was a big deal or inconvenience. We all know how busy kids are and the long days they face. I was promised it would be addressed and at the parent class after the incident I was told the procedures were changed so no other student would find themselves in this position. She had ONE MORE lesson with the same instructor AND THE EXACT SAME THING OCCURRED. She was returned home 45 MINUTES LATE. To compound the issue she gets car sick in the back and once again over her time the next driver (WHILE SHE WAS NOT EVEN SUPPOSED TO BE OBSERVING) was doing many turns and drills. I do not recommend this school. I was never called back after the second incident I'm sure because they were avoiding me. It is unprofessional and incompetent. read more

This driving school comes off selling itself very well in the beginning looking great and where you want to be. The school adult driving instructors, very supportive. The problem is they make you think your a shoe in to get your license after 3 lessons. Than the test comes and the test instructor takes you on a route you never went on with the school instructors. My daughter came here to get her license prior to shipping off to the Army. It was a requirement for her to get it prior to leaving. Her and I made that real clear to the school from day 1. I said she has to get her license. They asked has she been driving a lot? I said yes tons. She needs instruction on the turns and parallel parking. They said we can teach that in 20 minutes. After 3 lessons with the school instructor and him telling my daughter the day before the test, "if I was your tester today I'd pass you right now." I said no more lessons than, lets test. Being an adult and going into the Army as long as you show you can drive, you should leave with your license. Not the case at Parkway! The day of the test the instructor per the school was someone they weren't familiar with. It also isn't cool on the schools part that the older male instructor is driving alone with your daughter while the female owner of the company is sitting in her office. Since when did the owner of the vehicle not have to be with the student and instructor in the vehicle? That is simply not cool. Covid-19, Corona Virus, whatever you want to call it. If your open and operating your business, you get in the car with the instructor and the student. If you can't do that or are afraid to, close the doors. Stop using the Corona Cold as an excuse to cut corners. Its only a very bad cold, its not a death sentences taken place.You get sick for a few days, you don't die unless your 80. All the female students were made to use there hand signals. None of the male students I witnessed were asked to show these. My daughter was made to do a second 3 point turn because the instructor claimed the first one they did leaving the parking lot was not on the test route. She did it perfectly. So to make up for it he takes her on a road she never went on with school instructor. Shes now alone with the older instructor, to do a three point turn on a narrow road with cars parked on both sides. Shes forced to do it in 5 points. After the test the instructor tells her she is an excellent driver. Her parallel parking perfect. But the first 3 point turn doesn't count and the second you had to do in 5 points and almost hit a tree. There was no tree near the car. Following my daughters exam this man went on to flunk 3 females in a row. Chauvinist who shouldn't be allowed to administer test ever again. And when approached he told me what he told my daughter she is an excellent driver with great parallel parking skills. But can't pass her due to her doing a 5 point turn on a narrow street. When I told him we are here while she is on break from the service and if she doesn't get her license she could lose her commission. He said she said that as well. He could of cared-less. He showed no regard for females or the United States Army. To say your an excellent driver and fail you, and to have the business owner stay in her office and not have your back when she knew what you were there for, is a reprehensible why to do business. To send the student and instructor out alone is bad enough, but to have a student fail when you knew they were there on a timeline to leave with a license due to military service after taking there money, and than not having there back in the end, just excepting the outcome, is a really bad business precedent. I expected and trusted you with my daughter Parkway Driving School. You took her money, cost her her Army commission. Didn't offer her a retake before she ships out. You know you could find one. Shes in the military. You let her leave with nothing. You should be ashamed of yourself. If you have a daughter learning to drive 16-62, make Parkway Driving School your second choice. Make everyone else in the Commonwealth your first choice. read more

If I could give zero stars for Parkway Driving, I would. I'm the parent of 2 kids who waited to get drivers licenses until their early twenties. I purchased a package of 6 lessons for my youngest, who ended up only using 3 of them. Parkway would not transfer the 3 remaining lessons to my older daughter. No reason other than "we don't do that". Should have cut my losses and looked to another school at that point but their location is convenient so I purchased 8 more lessons for my older daughter. When instructor told my daughter she was ready for the road test, we paid Parkway to schedule the test. She didn't pass. Ok, not a problem. She wasn't ready. We waited 6 weeks, I purchased 3 more lessons, and paid another $200 for a practice test/lesson the day before the second test. The instructor was 15 minutes late - she was talking to another employee while my daughter waited in the parking lot - and then gave her a 35 min lesson not a 40 min lesson because she was "running late for the next lesson". The next day was her second road test. She did not pass. There were 3 people in the car with her. Two RMV employees and a Parkway employee. No explanation was given as to why there was an extra person nor did this person introduce themselves. My daughter figured out it was a second RMV employee after he spoke disparagingly about the previous test-taker who was failed. This was in front of my daughter, as she sat behind the wheel waiting to start her road test. Next, the extra RMV employee questioned her Mass ID, saying "are you sure that's you? It doesn't look anything like you!" My daughter is a member of the LGBT community. She felt intimidated by this inappropriate questioning and the trash-talking of a test-taker before her. There was more chit chat between the 2 RMV employees during her test. The test proctor did not allow her to complete 2 attempts at parallel parking, stopping her in the middle and telling her "you're not going to make this so forget it". She failed her. We gave up on Parkway and my daughter scheduled directly with the RMV in Braintree. She took her third test today. No $140 extra fee for scheduling. She passed with flying colors and the proctor told her "you were perfect, what happened the previous 2 tests?" When she mentioned the 3 people in the car with her at Parkway and the intimidating experience, the proctor said it was likely an RMV trainee and she should have been given the option to refuse the trainee ride-along. Parkway never explained the situation or offered her this option. In all, I paid $1,700to Parkway, including $280 in convenience fees the 2 road tests at their location. With zero results and a daughter who was fearful she'd never pass the test. Parkway lacks professional standards and accountability. They did my daughter a disservice by assuring her she was road-test ready and then tolerating poor conduct from test proctors. It was an expensive mistake on my part. Don't waste your money with these people. read more

They were very helpful in running the classroom portion during private-school March vacation, even with only a small number of students. Availability of scheduled driving hours was pretty good, we did have the overtime and late return problem another reviewer reported, but it wasn't as bad. We learned not to schedule things immediately after the session. They have two locations. My daughter is often in Boston so the Forest Hills location was good for us as well as the Walpole location. They didn't really like that we wanted the larger availability of appointments at the different locations and we kept calling to get our zip code changed so we could look at the other area. They should support getting your hours wherever is convenient maybe with different tabs for the different locations. Web site was often slightly broken, with weird error messages, and they didn't seem to care. The real problem is that some of the in-car instructors were rude, and they didn't do a good enough job of preparing my daughter for the road test. She failed twice. Finally we went to another school with a "brush up plus road test" package and she passed there. She reported that the instructors from that school cared vastly more about actually TEACHING her to drive, rather than just "putting in the hours". read more

I scheduled to take 1 lesson and then a road test. My lesson was forgettable my instructor arrived late and finished early and taught me nothing really, mind you my lessons had already been cancelled twice with no notice so a complete waste of time. My road test was scheduled for 9 and the lady was 2 hours late, she was dismissive and harsh and failed me because she was in a bad mood not because of my driving. 10/10 wouldn't recommend spend the money elsewhere and save yourself the headache. read more
