PROs- -they offer various times to take a class, even two classes on Saturday - was able to pay half the cost of one month since I arrived in the middle of the month -they keep up to date on insta posts CONs- -warm up is the same every day. Coach doesn't ensure you're doing them or even doing them correctly. This could get boring with time. -one time I was running a few minutes behind (having a toddler can cause that to happen!) Saw the coach was upset and kind of made the comment of how I needed to just jump with the last girls to do the warm ups they were doing. Later some members confirmed that tardiness is her pet peeve. - throughout the WOD, I was left sort of alone. Thanks to some cool members who said I could share equipment with them and helped me through it all. Two of them mentioned how they noticed I was alone in the first workouts and coach wasn't there to walk me through or help. They unfortunately got committed to a 6 month contract so they couldn't opt out. They weren't told they could do it month to month. - I noticed some members were lifting too much and had poor form, which is dangerous. But who was I to say, hey, It's nice you want to lift a lot but form is better than pounds. - no stretching/mobility was done afterwards as a group or even mentioned to do it individually. - box seemed overcrowded, dusty and cluttering. Got my allergies really bad the first day! They do have a dog as an FYI. This is my personal review and I always use YELP to find the best spots so I write this review to give you some insights. However, I highly encourage you to call and visit and see for yourself. Everyone can have a different perception and experience.

If something gets broken, it feels like its fixed immediately. We also get spoiled with new equipment often. I've seen the love and dedication put into the gym first hand. To start off, the Get Fit in Newman has very little workout space. There is extra unused equipment stored in workout/walking area of this gym and considering the building itself is small as it is, so you would think that gym management would kindly store that equipment elsewhere but customer ease is just not something I have seen prioritized. Continuing on equipment, often times there is equipment that is broken or in progress of being fixed. It's understandable for things that are used to need fixing, but they shouldn't need to be fixed as frequently as these machines do. You'd assume that paying a monthly membership plus a yearly service fee would ensure equipment upgrades but that has yet to be seen. Thirdly, I'd like to touch on the topic of neglect with this location specifically. To my understanding, this location is one of the first gyms that the owner opened but somehow gets the least amount of attention. I have seen what the Hilmar and Hughson locations look like and they are far better maintained than the Newman location. Whether that be a management issue or lack of care by the owner, either problem should be addressed. The flooring in this gym is also very lumpy and that's obviously dangerous for people who are lifting heavy weights. This gym has so much potential and it's sad seeing its condition, especially considering this is the only option that Newman residents are forced to have. I hope, for the sake of future gym members, that these concerns are addressed.

I sighed up online, tried to schedule an appointment, had to miss it because I work 9-5 out side of town. Scheduled another appointment for Saturday at 10. I've spent 23 minutes waiting for someone to help me finish setting up the membership I already paid for and can't use till I get the access key. No one picks up the phone. You get texts that seem to come from a real person but they dont respond when you've scheduled the appointment. Can't enter the gym unless you have the access key. Probably the worst example of customer service I have experienced simply because I haven't received any. I've paid for this membership for almost two weeks now and haven't been able to use it once simply because ANYTIME fitness doesn't have ANY customer service or prioritization for onboarding on new members. I've called multiple times, not once did I get a call back, not even durring business hours. It's ridiculous to have someone pay for a service they can't even use temporarily. I didn't even get a free trial pass. If the office isn't open on weekends, then why allow scheduling. If some members can't make an appointment, why require a first time visit if your reps aren't even going to be available to provide assistance. It just makes no sense to me as to why it has been such an ordeal for me to try and out health first for once. By the time I'm writing this review I will have been here for almost half an hour with no kind of assistance. No text, no call, no app assistance. This experience has really discouraged me from using gym services, especially this gym and I was excited to become a member since it's 24 hours and they have many locations and amenities and I would have been happy to share a positive experience if I had one. Please. I just wanna work out any time I want. Not wait in membership limbo for the off chance I see one of these elusive representatives. Still waiting for my appointment when I post this too. Will be canceling. I have no choice. I'm not gonna pay for something that I can't use. New clients should be wary of singing up. I have worked in customer service for nearly my entire working life and I have never encountered a service that has such useless customer service protocol for the real working class of Tracy. Not even a live or ai chat box in sight. No signs life in the physical office, no call backs, no emails, not even a letter. Just a total waste of time, effort and hard earned funds. I will be canceling and seeking a full refund as no service towards my personally paid membership was met with follow through on the business behalf. I always feel welcomed, supported, and motivated in such a clean environment with excellent amenities and state-of-the-art equipment. There always seems to be something new to look forward to. The classes are fantastic, and I love that they now offer Reformer Pilates. I'm also excited about the upcoming swimming pool. If anything they should be opening SOONER never later. When I got here at 6 there were 20 cars waiting in parking lot for gym to open. And a lot of them have left and others have pulled up. Not cool, great gym otherwise.
