I am enjoying the progress and improvement I see in my 2 kids attending Victory TKD. 6 months in and they're more confident , stronger, flexible etc. Plus their school work is following suit. The studio is doing a very good job of sharing info via txt to us parents as needed and make themselves available for questions at class dismissal. I went to Victory TKD for about 7 years. I loved it. I got my black belt : ) Master Pablo is very strick but friendly. He is very good with small children. I would recommend anyone to come here. It is a great place for all ages. I was in the adullt class because I started there when I was 12. I had people who were about 50 years old in my class. It is never to late to start. Instuctor Hoon was my favorite, but he moved to there Whittier studio. Instuctors Bobby, Tavis, Taylor, and Tori are also great! One of the best decisions we have made for our 6 & 8 yr old. We attended trial classes for Kung Fu and Karate in the area and this class blew them all out of the water. My kids use to train at Victory Tae Kwon Do, the only reason they no longer go there is because we moved out of state. Master Pablo as well as all of the instructors, were always polite and respectful. When one of my kids was acting up at school or home, all I had to do was tell Master Pablo or Instructor Bobby and they made sure to take care of the situation with a few more push-ups followed by a one on one talk to motivate them to do better in school and in life. My kids have been practicing with Master Pablo and his instructors for over a year now. After previously looking around many other studios, I'm glad we made the right choice with Victory USA. Being new to viewing this style of martial art it was a little difficult at first to understand how effectively my kids were being taught. With enough experience, and after joining myself, I understood a lot more about the style, methods, and purpose of their instructions. It's a great balance of catering to meet the needs of what the parents wants their kids to get from learning from here. Whether you want your kids to be more discipline, or you want them get more excersize, or you want them to learn to defend themselves, or even want them to be true Olympic Competitors, they will focus on that for your kids! The biggest misunderstanding I see from dissatisfied parents are either they are far too demanding without being patient enough to let the results be more organic or they just plain don't bother to understand that this sport isn't about winning. It's about getting better when you lose and not treating your child like a baby that needs to always win or be on top. I think it's important to make your child feel accomplished and proud, but it's even more important to temper it with humblings. The school's motto is "Be humble, gentle, and strong". All internal character traits that make for the a student and a good person. For the adults and teens it's a much more rugged and strict work out. This is the best those of us that don't care for fluff. Again, still patience though, you shouldn't be a black belt without properly earning it. You might as well just save your money, go to the store, and buy one yourself for a fraction percent of the cost. My wife and the kids love how much of a friendly family environment that is presented at the studio. With regular outside taekwondo functions like parties and parades and other fun functions Master Pablo makes sure everyone is treated like family.
