This park has a decent walking trail but I will preface it with 1) the majority is dirt or concrete 2) many people don't seem to pick up after their dogs so you will see dog poop in certain areas. I am always on the hunt for a park with a good walking trail as I have been spoiled with padded tracked parks. One loop is about 0.6 miles. The park also has a community center for classes and renting meeting rooms, along with several tennis courts. There is a small playground area on the upper level. Parking is plentiful. Overall, I will come back again if in the area. read more

So mom has been feeling rusty and she needed her vitamin D so I took her for a short breezy walk around the park to enjoy the sun. She was out of breath but needed the exercise badly including me. This way I can spend some time with her and look at what God created for us. There is a diamond up here to play softball, a picnic area and throughout the walking path there are little exercise areas to additional things. Down below they have tennis courts and basketball courts and other buildings for group and community activities. Lots of shaded areas to bring your pups for walks. Beware there are rattlesnakes and coyotes that you may come across but leave them be and you'll survive. Don't feed the coyotes because they'll come back to the area for food where you're not there and potentially prey on other unsuspecting peeps. read more

This review is for the upper portion of the park. Water play for the kids, plenty of playgrounds, sport fields and low impact hiking trails (mind the occasional rattler), lots of squirrels and bunnies. Pathfinder park is the Pokemon Go'rs paradise. We commonly see people having parties in the group areas or clubhouse patio. There is also an honest to goodness antique/vintage coin operated pay phone by the east side toilets :) . If you really want to punish yourself, instead of driving up...park below and run up the stairway to hell. Enjoy the odd looks from the squirrels and the zappy sounds from the billion volts of electricity running overhead. Such great views from this park, and it always feels less crowded than it is. read more

Large, clean park with different elevations and incredible views. I was driving to dinner with my son when an accident took our GPS on a detour past this park, it looked so interesting I pulled over to go explore. You drive up the side of a small mountain and it opens up to a HUGE 29 acre space with almost too much amenities: -baseball, softball, basketball -large section of exercise equipment -large section children's play area -a modern and clean community center -water/splash area -BBQ and picnic benches -large parking lot My favorite part was the view from the top of the mountain, very well maintained landscaping as well, surreal in ways with the large power lines right next to it. read more

Saw a homeless went by to take shower. It was gross. The sign says water recycled. There were a bunch of kids and even babies. I think there should be a way to stop homeless from doing so. It was fun but after someone showered there, everything was ruined. read more

Do not come here with friends if you are trying to exercise. Never heard of a park that is meant for recreational and exercise activities turn people away for gathering with friends to dance and exercise. I thought parks were free access to the community meant to get people engaged in healthy behavior. It seems to me that Jennifer is trying to promote obesity and chronic illness. She told our group of friends to take our exercise to another public park. I would think she has bigger fish to fry than to bother a group of retired teachers and cancer survivors trying to enjoy life and better their health. Learn to be an empathetic leader, not authoritative and do better. read more

Now that dine-in everywhere is off-limits, I'm always in search of outdoor places with seating where I can enjoy my takeout or coffee. I love that I'm taking advantage of the resources our city pours money into maintaining, while soaking up the sun and the fresh air. Pathfinder Community Regional Park is one I've visited twice in the last two weeks now because of the ample seating. If you drive up to the upper level, where the jungle gym and fields are, you'll find at least 10 picnic tables scattered throughout the space, each capable of fitting 6-8 comfortably. There are also patches of grass for those who prefer laying out a picnic blanket. Both levels have plenty of parking. The best part is that the space is just a hop away from the heart of Rowland Heights and all of its restaurants & boba places. So, if you pick up takeout and take it here, it won't have to sit steaming in your car for too long before you get to enjoy it! The park is definitely dog and kid-friendly with a modern jungle gym and lots of space for your furry friends to roam. It also has a small section of outdoor 'exercise equipment'. While the equipment won't exactly allow you to pump iron, it is a decent (and free) alternative to hitting the gym. When I left, I noticed a trail with mile markers too. Take this time to explore your local green spaces and discover a new community spot! read more

My family and I attended a birthday party at the indoor community center here. The park is definitely located in an interesting area. That day just so happened to be super hot and I couldn't be happier the event was indoors. The park was nice and had a lot of activities for kids. There is a water area. Never found out if people rent out the water area for private events as well or is it just a public area that kids can go splash and play. The event room was a decent size which included a few more tables out back (outdoors). There was a small gate that lead to the back with more outdoor slides for the kids. Overall, it was a nice park with many activities to keep the kids entertained. read more

I liked this park; it was not only tucked away but also came with a beautiful view. (I don't dare describe the view; I wouldn't do it justice.) But, alas...I digress. I came here with my kids for the splash pad. They enjoyed it! Good set up for toddlers and younger-aged kids. The crowd is a mix of families with mostly little ones ages 1-10 or so. Lastly, the playground is worth mentioning. The play equipment is not the typical barrage of swings, etc. It seems to be centered more toward balance & development...maybe more appropriate for elementary school kids. Nonetheless, my kids had fun climbing about....they even tried the wobbling balance beams...talk about a bit of a mommy heart attack! Overall, a fun time! read more

Their restrooms are the cleanest I've EVER used at any park. We had a picnic in our car in the parking lot under a tree because it was over 100 degrees outside and we didn't want to be around the few people who were there (we're totally Covid-19 anti-socialites). It was fun! And it was peaceful. There were hardly any people, hardly any cars. We thought the restrooms might be closed but they were open and they were spotless and didn't smell at all! read more

A nice park, but the playground does not have swings for kids. There are a ton of exercise equipment for older people but it's over taken by kids which kind of worries me because I can see accidents happening and fingers getting caught! My youngsters enjoyed this park, but no swings for me is less stars from me. read more

We had our son's first birthday in the Community Room and it turned out great. You just have to know that you can use all of the tables and chairs in storage but you have to set it up and take it all down yourself. There will be a person there in the office but all they do is unlock the door. Also, they tell you that at the end when you take the short survey before leaving that you will get $100 deposit back within 6-8 weeks. This is not true. It's actually more like 12+ weeks so don't hold your breath. I had to contact them a couple times about the status and they say it processed a month ago but I haven't received it. My event was November 4 and it's Jan 28 and no deposit back yet. It's funny though because they want their money strictly by the deadline (of course right??). The park also has a lot of construction going on at the top of the hill but hopefully it will all turn out nice. I wish they had swings too! read more

Nice community center with reasonable fees. The parking lot has character and was being redone per my last visit. From this elevation you will find a cool play place, baseball diamond and trails that take you around this small but well laid park. This park is located on the west side (opposite from the community center). Trees are well situated i.e. provide ample shade and historic. Online reservation system is in place for community offerings for residents and non-residents. Baseball diamond was in great shape and someone even hit a ball far in right field (fence jumper). Picnics, baby showers and family gatherings are all possible here. The attendant was in house and it was good to have someone on-site to answer questions. read more

Hooray for a regional park where you finally don't have to pay for parking! The playground is on the smaller side, but they have some interesting structures that almost look a bit futuristic. I wish their bathrooms were more centrally located, but I think everything is a bit scattered because the land is so huge. The community center and some other amenities are located on the same grounds, which is really convenient. Seems like it might be a nice place for parties or picnics. I noticed there were some flyers posted up for various events, which seemed cool. read more

I "try" to come here after work for a quick run! I like how this park has an easy trail around it, so expect to find a lot of joggers and dog walkers! I only wish that the park was a little bigger...because after running around the same circular trail for a while, I start to feel like a hamster. Also, be cautious of your surroundings here.... I almost stepped on a snake one time =/ Definitely a shocker, but I managed to avoid it and it just slithered across. The tennis courts here are also very new and pretty awesome! Caution: avoid this park at night if you're jogging- lighting is poor on the trails :/ read more

This used to be a great park, but recently they have been messing with the electricity here and there are no lights on the ground level at the tennis courts. And they brought one of the high voltage towers down to the ground level, near the kids' playground! What are they thinking??? I still walk here from my house sometimes and go to the upper level to walk couple laps before heading back home. But again, they really need to restore the lights at the tennis courts because people want to play tennis when the sun goes down and they can't! Are you people listening?!?!?! read more

The park is nice clean and Big! Its fun for the kids and adult's. They have tables for picnics, bathrooms, a splash zone is fun for kids that can't go to the pool yet, playgrounds, tennis courts, basketball courts, large fields. I used to come to this park with my baby cousins when I was younger we will walk to the park and mess around in the tennis court pretending that we knew how to play. I have to say a lot has Changed since, and I'm glad they are a lot more people at the park exercise and kids playing around. This is an okay park. First time I went to this park was actually for a car meet many many years ago. lol. But this park is kinda cool. It has exercise equipment at the top, a trail that you can walk, and a few baseball fields. On the lower level, there are tennis courts and a basketball court. But I wouldn't even bother with those tennis courts since every time I've passed by, I always see the courts packed. And the park and tennis courts have light post... Why are they never on? So if you want to make a trip here, be sure to go before the sun goes down Parking: Easy to find parking.. Lots of spots. Will I be back? Probably. Beautiful park with all the amenities you can ask for. Baseball field on the upper levels, basketball courts, and lighted tennis courts. We rented the Facility on the hill for a baby shower. The Park and Recs staff was very friendly and helpful. They provide all the tables, chairs, and garbage cans. There is a playground right next to the building which is practically brand new. The facility rental was very reasonable, but make sure to plan way ahead of time. There are 3 sections you can rent. Two outdoor and one indoor. The main problem is parking on the upper levels. Avoid planning events up in the facility if there are little league games going on. You may want to check on their schedules. Parking becomes really hard to find. Especially when all 3 fields are being used. Very poor planning when they built this place. Nonetheless, very nice location for a party or just to hang out. read more

I gotta agree with everything written in Rina C's review. I went here with my brother and mom on Sunday afternoon for a couple of hours (not sure what the occasion was) and I'm glad I did. Just something different on a Sunday. I got to spend some time with my cousins and their families and friends. Got to play on the up to date playgrounds, I haven't seen a jungle gym set like this before, boy times are changing. Other nice amenities were plenty of tables, clean restrooms, plenty of parking and softball/baseball fields and plenty of grass area for lounging. While I was there for a different reason, I seen other people I knew that were at a party going on in the area you need to reserve. At the party they had a taco truck and a jumper so I guess you could rent these and have them set up at the park, I thought that was pretty cool. I guess if I had any kids, I'd consider throwing them a party at this park =P read more

I love this park. Since it's summer now and I usually am bored off my ass, I come here sometimes just to chill. It's usually empty on weekdays, although the parking lot by the clubhouse place is usually packed (I guess for some activities inside the clubhouse). Pathfinder has some of the most calm scenery in Rowland Heights. The park is very clean and it's just an oasis away from the hectic bustle of traffic on damn Fullerton & Colima. I just wish this place would open until later in the night. read more

I love this park. I come to play tennis very often, but it's very packed at nights and weekends. You have to come early to reserve your spot! There are often lessons going on so you have to watch out for that. It's nice that they have two kids playgrounds - one upstairs and one downstairs. Also lots of greenery for pets and children to play. I like the two big baseball fields they have upstairs with a running track around them. read more

Sooo. I'm not a complainer. I've been hearing about the splash pad at this park. I've seen pics. All looked good! I decided to call the park on the morning I planned to attend because I wanted to cover my bases and make sure they were open. They assured me they were open 10am-7pm. Sounds good! Got there at 2. My little boy was so excited seeing a ton of kids and the water. As I walk up, I see the water turn off. I asked a few of the employees if/when the water was gonna turn back on. They all had the same well-rehearsed line about the water turning itself off for pH reasons. But couldn't tell me if/when it was gonna turn back on. This isn't a pool ! It shouldn't be turning off for pH reasons. Waste of my long drive. if it's gonna be randomly turning off and we can't get a straight answer about it turning back on, I won't be coming back. I don't have much time off to spend with my son. I regret choosing this park today. read more

Pathfinder Park is great! This is a great park for all ages. The outdoor gym and play structures are so interesting. The picnic areas looked very nice too. I wish I lived closer so I could use the outdoor gym equipment. There is tons of different "machines" that you normally see at the gym. I wish I had kids so they could play in the playground. All of the play structures look so foreign to me. I was asking kids how to use it. read more
