The first class my daughter was feeling a little shy and Master Thomas and Master Jason did such a good job of giving her space but also encouraging her to join. They let me come and sit on the mat until she felt comfortable. Master Jason was so engaging during class and really helped bring my daughter out of her shell. Each class has been very well organized with clear instruction and individual attention. The instructors do a great job at helping to keep the kids attention and focus while also making the class fun and silly at times. The entire studio is very clean including the bathrooms, which is always a plus. The seating are for family members to watch is nice and the studio has great AC for those hot summer days. My daughter has really enjoyed herself! We signed up for twice weekly classes and are very happy to be joining Team Kwon!

He is extremely kind and highly respected. Not only does he teach children about kicking and punching, but he also instills in them the essence of being a true martial artist. At ATI, students are also introduced to Korean culture, the birthplace of Taekwondo, as Master Kwon incorporates it into the learning experience. The instructors here are truly qualified and excellent in both technical and teaching skills. They are certified by Kukkiwon, the headquarters of Taekwondo in Korea, and have achieved numerous accolades in local, regional, national, and international competitions, including prestigious ones like the US Open. They respect the students and teach them with complete dedication. A lot of students are also actively participating in many Taekwondo competitions throughout the year which makes the school such a vibrant and positive environment. Over the years, my little kid has trained here, and I can attest that ATI is a well-known and reliable Taekwondo school in our local community. The studio's inclusion of children with special needs, adults of all ages, and students from diverse backgrounds, including those transferring from other Taekwondo schools, states, and countries, makes it an exceptional place for training. I do not think there are any other Taekwondo schools in the area offer classes for all ages. The closest one is like 15miles away from Garden Grove. One of the most realiable and credible things about this studio as I know is many trainers at ATI have been with the school for many years, starting from their elementary school days and continuing through to graduating from college, whether as engineers or while earning doctoral degrees. A lot of them have established careers and been successful as well. I rarely write reviews on Yelp, but I feel compelled to respond to some of the negative comments. In martial arts, children must learn discipline and respect for others, from family members to strangers. This is a fundamental pillar of ATI's teaching. During belt promotion tests, which occur every 2-3 months, all students are encouraged, though not required, to spend a few extra minutes observing their peers as a way of learning and showing respect. I believe this is an excellent method of educating children on mutual respect. I don't understand the complaints about tuition. My child has trained here for years, and ATI's tuition is among the most reasonable in the area for such high-quality training. I find the negative reviews strange and unfounded. Moreover, ATI is the only Taekwondo school in the area that offers free trials for students. Master Kwon has been teaching and running this school with passion for over twenty years, so I believe the negative reviews are unjustified. Thank you again, Master Kwon, and all the incredible instructors and trainers at ATI.

I recently enrolled my son at Yong-In Martial Arts and so far we've had a really good experience…read more My son just turned 3 and he's very shy and attached to us, so starting something new like this has been a big adjustment for him. For the first couple of classes, the instructors let one parent join him on the floor so he could feel more comfortable and stay engaged. Since he's only 3, his attention span is pretty short and sometimes he just doesn't want to participate. But the instructors never give up on him. They keep encouraging him and finding little ways to get him involved without making him feel pressured. Each class I can see him getting a little more comfortable and slowly coming out of his shell. He's still adjusting, but I'm hoping soon he'll be comfortable enough to be out on the floor and participate with the class on his own. I'm really happy we chose Yong-In Martial Arts for him. If you have a young child who is shy or takes a little longer to warm up to new people and new environments, I would definitely recommend giving this place a try. I really appreciate how they work with my son at his own pace while still encouraging him to try. It's been really nice watching him slowly gain confidence, and I'm excited to see his progress as he continues going.

My son seemed to enjoy it but did not partake like the others since he was tired. There was no wiggle room on time since we were in the trial phase. Price is $200 a month with a 6 month commitment with initiation fee, $230 if you want to go month to month. Since it seemed like our kiddo wasn't quite into it yet and maybe too young, we didn't sign up. I will say though, the establishment is clean. The instructors are attentive and it really requires discipline for the kids. We would consider trying again at a later time but the price tag just seems too high.
