BUT...if you need a quick repair without much wait and for a decent price, this is the place. The owner was super friendly and was eager to assist with my bike issue. At the end, you can visit a nicer bike shop and pay 10x for the same part or repair (may even have to wait or drop off to pick up later) or take it here. At the end, tires/chains/seats/accessories/servicing/tune-ups are same/similar regardless of where you get it done. I'll be back! Enjoy!

Handy Bikes also carries a variety of bike brands such as Specialized, Giant, LIV, and Moots (titanium) Cycles. I haven't purchased a bike from them but I've used their Service Center multiple times. The mechanics are polite and competent. I also appreciate the text message updates. Each issue has been resolved to my satisfaction and I am grateful for the reasonable prices. Brick and mortar bike shops are going away. However, the community still needs safe spaces to gather. Support your local bike shops & enjoy the ride.

Handy Bikes took it and fixed it right away over a year ago and I haven't had a problem since. Since then, they've been my go to for all service issues and have been stellar. They're truly the best, so glad I found this shop and I won't go anywhere else!

I had been less than enthusiastic since our last tandem bike jaunt in DC left me ragged and looking forward to the end. We rented a tandem bike from a known rental in DC; the bike was rickety and took effort even on the completely flat route we were on. My GF found Pedego and opted for the tandem electric bike. This was a 180 degree experience from the other rental company jn DC. The owner was friendly, attentive, enthusiastic and really made us feel welcome. He knows his bikes gave us a quick run down that made us feel comfortable. The bikes are impeccabley maintained and he's thought of everything including helmets, storage pouch, bike lock, flat tire kit etc. He was even extremely well versed on the route to Mt. Vernon. Every pointer he gave us was spot on. We made it to Mt. Vernon and enjoyed food, history, and culture. The way back was fun since the bike did all the work, electric is the way to go for tandem bike long hauls. I plan on coming back to buy some accessories for my own fat tire e-bikes. This was a memorable experience that was easy and affordable.

Each question was answered - how different water bottle brackets allow the bottle to slide out different ways, sealant, hidden air tag holders, a front bag that has a strap to be a purse - there was absolutely no pressure to buy it truly was just informative. With my 56th birthday approaching, I wanted to bring that tradition back. However, my bike was not in good shape. The repair shop went above and beyond to clean my bike, replace broken parts, and restore it to its former glory. Yesterday, I rode 56 miles from Vienna to Purcellville and back. I discovered today that they even have a monthly free bike clinic, where their bike mechanics will completely inspect your bike for safety and wear and tear issues. If I was really into snowboarding this is the store I would come to ship. It's like a snowboarder's paradise here. The store is also open 7 days a week, and there were a handful of associates ready to assist me when I showed up. I wish they had a store like this in Fact but luckily this store is located pretty conveniently in Falls Church. I am sure I will come back again before the summer is out.

Joe was great, he measured my foot and gave me a lesson on shoe materials and I enjoyed the expertise he had in comparison to the other shoes. I was looking for a running shoe that was water resistant, we compared ON and Salomon. Eventually went with his recommendation with Salomon. The shoe prices are great only with REI membership which gives you a discount. I enjoy shopping at REI.
