Amy and Bishlam have created such a lovely space... they're both so friendly and clearly passionate about what they do. Bishlam carefully took his time to look at my hair and to get a sense of what I wanted/didn't want and he even talked through some techniques for styling and explained what kind of products would work best for my texture. I wait months to get an appointment, plan my schedule around it, and then end up having it canceled at the last minute. Once is understandable--things happen. But having this happen three times in a row, every single time I've booked, is unacceptable. At this point, it's not an isolated inconvenience; it's a pattern that shows a complete lack of respect for clients' time. I've given this salon multiple chances, but I will not be returning. There are plenty of other salons that can provide a more reliable and professional experience.

I arrived with an absolute emergency of a mess, a cut off all your hair, how did I get here, MESS. Major chemical/product damage, it was not viable. I was fully resigned to a short bob for a complete restart, but she was able to use her skill to come up with what she called a "custom haircut" and that's exactly what it was. Where the texture was once straw/sandpaper, is now silk. I cannot recommend Susan enough! If she can make sunshine come out of THIS experience, I can only imagine what she is capable of working with other clients. It was very kind of all the ladies in the salon to come and give their recommendations as well, I really felt like everyone came together and saved what they could of my hair! Pricing is very reasonable (which is something I don't find myself saying often in Marin!) The salon itself is unassuming but it gets the job done.
